The stars that crumbled
at the wind of your wish,
have their light taken say for your sake.
In their dying light they take your name.
Even if the wish comes to life
it is heavy with a sadness, a grief.
For they are just dying breath
with promises to keep.
Alice Wilde Apr 2018
Holding blue-silk wishes
I find myself drifting into
Sun soaked memories.

And I breath
And breath
And breath

In their promises.

I caught the scent
Of rot
On my breath today,

I think something deep
Inside me
Died recently

And is withering away.
With evil claws and teeth I chew the little wicked knights I slew. They enter one by one, as I burn them down to the ground for fun.
My fiery breath I breathe to melt their shields upon their feet and open my maw to eat my treats, oh what tasty meats.
Bring me more gold my shiny fearless little hunks of meat for I am to be feared the dragon which is revered.
I cannot be slain I will not be tamed for I am the red dragon that is renowned in fame.
Michael Robert Triska copyright, april 2018, this poem was made for a 5e dungeon & Dragons game

I scream to the stars above
"What do you want from me?!"
The wind picks up
Stealing what little breath I hold
Sleeping flowers awaken,
only to find that rain season has just begun
The rain comes from my eyes
I curse your moonbeam eyes
That once danced in front of mine
And in comes the sun
Burning where you once held me
And suddenly... peace.

she
is cold
we can feel
her winter breath
she chills our napes
with her gelid icy hand
we take to our warming hearths
to shelter from her frostiness
she has no charity nor any compassion
how baleful her season of bitterness

I will place the promise of tomorrow

on your lips.

They will first taste of cyclones in my breath.

Then they will taste of desperate dying breath.

The will taste of light and of blindness.

They will taste of the dreams that slip from your eyes.

They will taste of the skin that

we are yet to grow.

They taste of things

that we are yet to lose.

I will place the promise of tomorrow

on your lips,

that will soon be your yesterday.

My promise will be memory of

passing trains and fading love.

and I fell so hard
I broke all my dreams in half
lost my motivation in the fall
couldnt pull the string
to a parashoot I didn’t have

and I fell so long
I forgot the sky
chasing its reflection
into the depths
of an unmoving ocean
where I made my home
knowing water was not air

and still I watched the sky
warped and filtered through
waters not made for me
thinking I would never see it
as I did before I drowned

and I ran out of breath
I forgot I still had
                 and swam
                 and reached
and Im still reaching
even as I fall again

Air
You take my breath away
and I exhale
all the pain I have ever
felt.

I gasp
and pull through my lungs
all the love
and the world
you could hold.

I bet
In your arms
I could fly.
Simon Soane Mar 2018
All
Between all the light breezes
we could meet,
the spaces where breath
breathes in joy
and be glad that this is it,
and movement now is our thing;
a magic of moment.
