Addiction
Javaria Waseem Nov 2014
It was like getting a second chance to live
But I chose to face death again.
I guess that was my addiction.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I sat there in a coffee shop, alone on a winter's night.
Holding my regular cappuccino topped with foam milk
I stared blankly into the cup hoping something to cross my mind.

The aroma of the coffee reminded me of some blurry memories
And the dark brown color seemed like the color of his eyes.
I sat there in a coffee shop, alone on a winter's night.

The warmth of the cup that gave me chills yet comforted me
were a proof how everything went back to him every time.
I sat there in a coffee shop, alone on a winter's night.

The bitter sip traveled down my throat with
a pinching effect but itĀ felt so *******, to my surprise.
I sat there in a coffee shop, alone on a winter's night.

I licked the last bits of the foam from my lips, oh that delight!
I smiled to myself as I placed the empty cup back on the table.
I sat there in a coffee shop, satisfied on a winter's night.

A better place

Like a volcano wanting to erupt or a delicate glass vase
Little did they know that she was just dreaming of escaping
Somewhere far away, somewhere to a better place.

The ugly version of myself.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I found myself drowning in the great old Black River. I was struggling to swim but a huge weight pulled me down into the darkness. I looked around and what I saw, made me scream. The bubbles of the air, that I was saving, were the last thing I saw as I got free from the struggle and let my body float wherever the waves would take me.

I was pulled down by the ugly version of myself.

Nothing is to enter again.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I wanted to sleep but the words kept me up.
They entered my mind and tried travelling to my heart
But before they could do that, I spilled them out on the paper.
I can't let anyone enter that broken **** again, not even words.

It's Autumn
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
Oh Madam Honk,

It's autumn again
And how I desperately wait.
It's been months, please return
As you did the last autumn
The leaves are falling down
Like my hopes, with passing days.
You were the spring I cherished
Oh! It's autumn again.

Happy Halloween
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
In the street where every kid was wearing a costume for Halloween
Little Mike was in his regular shorts and tee.
He rang the bell and looked up at the horrific looking lady.
With his innocent eyes fixed on the box of candies
He cheerfully sang "Trick or Treat"
She leaned in and asked, "Well what are you dressed up as, sweetie?"
He looked at his feet, "I am the worst kind of monster, Mrs. Lauren.
I am dressed up as a human being."

She was pretty messed up but unlike everyone else, she used it as an excuse to create wonders that no one else could.
She painted her soul with her finger tips and sang her heart out while dancing on the strings of a guitar.

The world called her some insane and crazy freak.
Little did they know that she was different and unique.

Take my soul (100w)
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
The wolves howled. The full moon appeared from between the clouds. The shadows approached me as they chanted in an unfamiliar language. I could feel fear creeping up in my bones. I was never scared of the dark. I was scared of losing myself. My heart stopped beating as the smokeless fire stood a few feet away. I was petrified. He was satisfied. I let out a cry. He passed a cunning smile. There was no where to run. I knelt down and prayed to the Only One. *Oh Lord! Please take my soul before it enters the dark.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I woke up from a nightmare. I couldn't sleep any longer. I wore my cloak and sat in candle light with my type writer. My mind was not present where my body was. I was wandering in the wonderland through my words. Thak thak thak. One by one, the memories started to form a shape. The mansion in the middle of lavender field. Your clothes laying on the floor. The family picture on the side table. I wanted you so much that I actually believed it was all real. But as the sun came up, my words betrayed me again.

Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
Tear off these clothes from your body
And let the warm water wash the stains
From your skin as you sink deeper
In the bath tub of sorrows and pain.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
Remember that night when I showed you my words
You read and said that I had huge things coming in my way.
Oh, how happy we were! We celebrated all night long
Little did we know that destiny was doing ballet

On a thin line between your words and my words

And somewhere between our celebrations
It somehow stumbled and fell towards my side
The words I wrote were just a poem by then
Until they turned into my whole life.

A green and red fire
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
The darkness had took over the land
And people were forced to hide
The dark lords remained the same
Just changed their masks from time to time.
They brainwashed the innocent ones
Injected them with their lies.
Maybe that's why no one noticed
That the black color was not the real light.

In that darkness, a flame was born
Who was different from the blinds
He broke from the chains of slavery,
Ignited a green and red fire.
He stood against the dark lords
For his land, he dedicated his life.
Today the people have woken up
and every one of them is ready to fight.

There and Then
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
In the dark dark corner
of our secret little land
We sat side by side
when you turned and leaned in,
planted a soft kiss
in the hollow part of my neck
Then whispered to my heart
"Please don't ever leave me."
There and then,
I promised
making the stars as the witness
as you marked me yours
that I'll never leave.

The Creative Souls
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
Tonight I am calling out all the creative souls who have seen this world from a different eye.

Tonight I invite you to celebrate your gifts as we'll all get drunk around the fire.

Tonight I want you to let yourselves dance freely, leaving your worldly bodies behind.

Tonight I assure you that this world will witness a cluster of stars shining in the sky.
We all are not related in any way but the only thing that bonds us together is the ability we have to be whoever we want to be. We all are the same, using different weapons of choice.

Red
The red moon is out tonight,
I'll meet you wearing the red flowing flames.
They might pull you towards me, so keep a distance.
Don't say afterwards that I played an unfair game.

At the top of the red building,
We'll decently get high on red wine
and just like that, unlock our deepest secrets
discovering every truth and every lie.

Hiding in the red sheets,
I'll leave red lipstick marks on your neck.
They'll be a tattoo on your skin ,darling.
Reminding you of our red date, just in case you ever forget.

and the souls are buried somewhere deep.
The full moon appears from between the clouds
and every friend looks like an enemy.

The blood changes it's color to black,

as the worst of your monsters lose control.

In a blink of an eye, there's a pool of blood
and the faces become unrecognizable.

I visited the wonderland after ages
I was welcomed in the same old way.
The lavenders performed a splendid show
Reminding me of the last May.

The mansion was as we left it,
holding all the memories we made.
Your clothes were laying on the floor near bed.
I still remember how I allowed you to invade.

The family photo was hanging in the gallery
showing off one of my greatest achievements.
Those trips to London, Paris and New York,
a new adventure on every weekend.

The empty rooms haunt me now
but I am holding it all with a thin strand.
(If you ever want to return, darling,
Just come back to our Wonderland.

Battle for a new life.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I saw her daily, getting dressed up for the battle as she wore her armour and polished her swords.
She'd look at a warrior in the mirror and smile, despite all the battle scars which had become her identity.
The white flag had not danced with the wind yet she had already won.

Her name now shines bright in the pages of history.
This is dedicated to all the beautiful women out there who are fighting breast cancer.
Remember, you are not alone. We all are standing with you, to support you in this battle.
You all are warriors and inspiration for others. No matter what, you have already won this battle against cancer.

Autumn Leaves.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
Rustic colors of an autumn leaf,
Makes death look so beautiful.
Lifeless it lay telling tale of those naked trees
It once used to be a part of.
A poet's inspiration, a lover's song
The sky at the time of the dawn.

Now it accompanies me
As I lay in my grave,
For the birds have flown south.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
"Sir, do you know that lady in black?"

A volcano erupted, a glacier melted.
The world came crashing down on him.
The time stopped and he got lost
In a flashback of the memories
that he had buried.
A candle danced, his animal advanced.
Every single wall turned into dust.
In the dark, he lost his guard
and loved her till
he fulfilled his lust.
The fire stub out, minds filled with doubt.
The space between them started to grow.
He aimed the darts and broke her heart.
She entered the darkness
and turned all cold.

"I am sorry sir, but I don't think I know her."
He was hiding his guilt while she was showing off her scars.

Under the Stars.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
I remember staying up
all night just to watch
the stars with you.
Side by side,
we made a castle
based on promises
and dreams.
We took the stars
as witness
and lit up the
candle of our
dreams in the
darkness of that
night.

Little did we know
that the same stars
would witness the
evasion of that castle
by the darkness of
the world.
All those dreams and promises have turned into dust and blown away.

Never Ending Battle.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
How does it feels,
When you fight against yourself?
How much it hurts,
When you can't fight well?
How does it feels,
When you raise sword in defense?
How much it hurts,
When those wounds start to swell?
How does it feels,
When you have no hope to conquer?
How much it hurts,
When you can't control any longer?
How does it feels,
When it slips from your hands?
How much it hurts,
When you can't hold it back?
How does it feels,
When your opponent gets stronger?
How much it hurts,
When you are forced to surrender?

I whispered silently,
"I am tired of fighting

The Yellow Moon Witnessed.
Javaria Waseem Oct 2014
The cold breeze pinched my skin,
as the moon appeared from between the clouds.
I was strapped down on a stone table
And the wolves had already started to howl.

From the shadows they came as a pack;
Hidden faces and black robes.
Holding the silver dagger of the snake,
they encircled around the table of stone.

Declaring the yellow moon as their witness,
in the bowl of terror, they lit the fire.
Then took a drop of my blood and chanted
"This is for the mare of the dark night"
