The Final Dance.
Javaria Waseem Sep 2014
The hunter and the prey
danced under the moonlight
so elegantly that they put
the petals of rose to shame.

The dance ended with the last note
And then came the howls
which continued the whole night.

In the Lavender field.
Javaria Waseem Sep 2014
(I)
In the lavender field
holding a white rose
Placid visage
I was laying all alone.

My mascara had not ruined
And bun was also perfect
Some scent of strawberry was lingering
In the air, from my lipstick.

I was wearing the velvet dress
which I had saved for that day.
When everyone would be crying
And I'd be all gay.

So darling tell me again
When you see me on this bed.
Do I still look beautiful to you
even after I am dead?

(II)
In the lavender field
Holding a white rose
Puffy eyes
I was all alone.

I had not shaved in ages
And my tie was not perfect
I could still taste her lips
That regular strawberry lipstick,

I was wearing the black dress
Which I had worn that day
When we said our vows
And became one again.

The lavenders prepared her bed
As I laid her down to sleep
I wiped my tears and whispered,
"You always looked beautiful to me."

All hail the Queen
Javaria Waseem Sep 2014
The chirping birds welcomed her as the sun rose to make a crown with rays.
She walked bare feet on the shore, decorated by pebbles and shells. The wind held her cape to honor her.

She was finally in her kingdom.

Thunderstorm.
Javaria Waseem Sep 2014
They say she was like the thunderstorm at night.
Fierce yet beautiful.
She always kept a young heart awake as she danced wildly in the sky on the tone of her own melody.

And he called her magic.

Today I have a question to ask
From the coward thieves and murderers
Who attack their prey in the dark.

Today I have a question to ask
From those who consider her as a toy to play
As she fights to keep her virginity safe.

Today I have a question to ask
From all the soul killers who take pleasure
In hearing her screams and cries while they laugh.

Today I have a question to ask
From the dark demons who enjoy 'the game'
While she hopes to die at the end of it.

Today I have a question to ask
From these monsters who fulfill their needs
As they steal away her identity.

Today I have a question to ask
From those who make her hate herself
For they leave inside her some of their part.

Today I have a question to ask
From those who feel mighty and powerful
As they curse her forever with the scars.

Today I have a question to ask
From every ****** ****** in the world
How will you pay for those innocent lives
Who were a victim of your fun and lost the fight?

Day 4: The Pitcher of Rum
Javaria Waseem Sep 2014
He always used the pitcher of ***
To forget the sorrow and pain of this world.

Addicted he was, said he'll never stop drinking
Those were the days when he forgot everything.

With a broken heart, he uncovered his soul
And to hide his scars, he drank some more.

He drank and drank till the effect wore off
By that time all his darkness was gone.

So he threw the empty pitcher of *** away
And cursed and blamed it for making him go astray.

The Devil's Kiss.
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
The demons got me in that alley at last.
I could feel the weight on my body as they entered.
That pain they caused made me want to scream.
My whole body twisted, stiffened and surrendered.

I struggled with my own self to stop the transformation
But my eyes had turned hollow, pitch black.
The sunlight vanished and darkness took over everything.
Then emerged a shadow from fire and ash.

It was Satan himself, the smokeless fire.
He walked up to my feeble body and smiled.
"Don't worry my lady," he consoled warmly
"Tonight you'll be served as my human sacrifice."

Your Kids and Me.
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
While your kids are playing, running in the streets
I am fighting for my life, wandering helplessly.

While your kids have soccer practices in the evening
I don't know if by then I'll be dead or still living.

While your kids are painting rainbows and butterflies
My city is painted in our blood, every time we sacrifice.

While your kids are treated for even a scratch on their knee
It's been days since I am wearing these scars and injuries.

While your kids are scared of little cockroaches
I stand face to face with tanks and bullets.

While your kids are learning about their family tree
I am still searching the missing members of my family.

While your kids are angels, we are not even considered as human beings.
Why? Just because we are born in Palestine and they are from Israel?

I am a Woman.
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
The angel had me in his arms safely,
As we made our way down to the world.
He caressed my cheek and smiled at me,
"You're God's most beautiful creation, little one."

I opened my eyes ready to live;
Feeling that I was something special.
But the disappointed looks made me cry,
"Oh well, it's a baby girl."

I looked around to find that angel,
But he had left me and flown away.
A man came and consoled my parents,
"It's okay, must have been a bad day."

Since childhood I am always labeled
On every step of my life,
"You're a burden, the unlucky one."
Every time with that, I was buried alive.

It's the cowards who can't accept the fact
And uses a woman for his desires.
They hide their faces when their daughter is born
While they feel manly beating up their wives.

I don't need sympathy on being a woman,
I may look delicate but I am strong inside.
I spit on their cursed faces and thoughts
**For I am a woman; the symbol of pride.

The Irony.
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
I gulped down the last
sip of wine
As I looked at the bottle
with disgust.
That empty and vain
piece of trash
I smashed it into a table
and loudly cursed.

The irony of it
made me laugh
As I heard myself
And I collapsed.

Tick Tock Tick Tock
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
(The clock is ticking, tick tock tick tock)
He returns from office, It was a bad day
He throws his files on the table
As he loosens the ties, exhausted.

(The T.V is not working again)
He smashes the remote against the wall
And collapses on the sofa,
His eyes are now closed.

(The water starts boiling)
She turns the stove off
And rushes to the t.v lounge
As she hears the shattering sound.

After wiping her face with the corner of her shirt
She manages to put on a smile weakly.
"Hey darling. Welcome back home
The dinner is also almost ready."

(The bulb starts flickering)
He opens his eyes staring at it.
He curses aloud as she stands waiting for a reply
Then he lights up a cigarette.

He puffs for a while and
Asks what's for dinner
She is frightened to upset him,
She starts to stammer.

"I asked what's for ******* dinner!?"
"Boiled vegetables and steak, dear."
"I told you to cook rice for me ******
How hard was it to remember!?"

Tears fill her eyes as he curses again
She pleads for him to stop
But he holds her by the arm
And kicks her out of the house.

(The T.V is now working again)
(And the flickering of the bulb has also stopped.)
No one is there to blame anymore
(The clock ticks, tick tock tick tock.)

The final flight
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
Standing on the edge of the highest peak
With my arms stretched out wide
Showing off the beauty of my majestic wings
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

My lips curved into a sly smile
As if laughing at the stupid world
Proud I felt as I raised myself up
Ready for the flight and I jumped.

No pull of gravity or force of friction
Could alter my way back to despair
"See I can fly.", I whispered to the world below
As I dissolved into the particles of the air.

Cause darling, you are the one who lost me.
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
I once fell in love with a painter.
He painted the darkness of his soul.
I asked him to paint me with his colors,
He painted a new memory with every brush stroke.

With passion and love he painted me day and night
And I sat in front of him; totally hypnotized.

He painted me into a beautiful tragedy
And said that I was his best piece of art ever.
I am just one of his paintings since then,
For I once fell in love with a painter.

You've lost a friend
Javaria Waseem Aug 2014
When hearts are broken and tears are shed.
When everything is done and everything is said.
When you feel alone and there's no one left.
That's when you know you've lost a friend.

When you can't sleep and you lose your head.
When you are found on the floor instead of the bed.
When you are in misery, neither alive nor dead.
That's when you know you've lost a friend.

When the snake has bitten and the poison is spread.
When all you feel is pain and you turn into a wreck.
When you can't find yourself and you lose the track.
That's when you know you've lost a friend.

I've traveled and seen and felt You everywhere.
