Another Hidden Day
I saw you but a glimpse
a distance in the night
we once were so right ...

It was another hidden day
as my restless mind wandered
in dreams of you ...

Your velvet kiss was there
your fingertips down my back
your heated gaze singeing ...

Lovers soot upon my skin
a forbidden, sweet, nonsensical
magical sin ...

My wanting overwhelms me
remembering our secret,
clandestine day dream ...

You my desperate addition,
tears my conscience to shreds
can you hear me screaming ...

There you were in my hidden day
you saw my tears and you turned away
why can't I have you, my hidden love ...

When I close my eyes, there you are
just like before
in my hidden days ...

Calling Heaven
Shining light you are
Nightingale by far
Who flies up high…..

That brightens the song of love
In their hearts of gold
By which
That the soul feels delight ...

Echoing nature’s melody
Of pure white
With feelings of rhyme
That sings a song to all
Your crafted poetry
Blends for all to be ...

Speaking of your glorious nature
Makes all blind to see
As you walk in the garden of loveliness
Your light shines forth
Your eternal aroma blends with your life
A wonderful love you will be ...

Anticipation
There you are
I have been waiting
anticipation
is great...

This is the moment
you are my matching passion...

Time slides away
faint to our echo
not hearing YOUR soul
distress of searching
brings loneliness and despair...

But with you
Time slips for one...

Not one love
can compare
what I have dreamed
my imagination runs
docile
with a sea of pointless
quest
you arrived in my life....

Desire persisting
the looks of you
I want a man
that makes me feel
like a woman
and I will make you feel
like a man..

There you are
waiting, waiting for me
in my dreams ...

I am waiting for you in my dreams
It was her birthday she was turning thirteen.

It was a fun day until her father asked to baby sit for his new friends so they could all go out to party.

She was scared that day she didn’t know why. She had babysat for other people before, but for some reason this was different. She just felt weird.

As they were driving to the location, her father was telling her, about the people she would babysit for and how they were new to the area and didn’t know anyone.

“But dad, I really don’t want to. It’s my birthday. “She just wanted to cry. Why she had to do this she couldn’t understand.

After being dropped off and meeting the parents, she thought maybe she was being silly and they were good people. After the parents had left to the party, she got the kids ready for bed, and fell asleep waiting for everyone to get home.

The man woke her up with his hand on her shoulder and he was telling her to get ready he will take her home. He was telling his wife that it would take him a couple of hours to get her home and to get back. She thought about that, it didn’t seem to take her dad that long to drive to their home. Now she was getting scared again.

Driving back she could not talk. Even when he spoke to her she just sat scrunched in her seat trying to make herself invisible.

“What’s wrong with you? Can’t you talk? “He was demanding. It seemed to make him mad because she would not answer him.

All she could think was please God help me get home, when he turned the car into the hills where the woods started. She finally found her voice. She sat straight up in the seat and screamed. “Where are we going this is not the way home?”

He started laughing and when she tried to open the car door he grabbed her and hit her in the face. She was knocked out.
When she woke he was on top of her, and she was crying.

Then his hand was around her throat, “I will **** you and your mom if you tell anyone. You will die.”

After he was done with her, he took her home and dumped her on the sidewalk. He threw money at her and left. She wanted to be removed from life. To be no more!

Dear Lord,

Please remove me

I want to be no more

The time has come

To make me blank

Here I am

Stuck in the mud

Where have you gone?

Where am I now?

Stuck in never never land

The years go by

The pain never stops

The rose won’t bloom

The miles go around and around

Head spins

Struggling for years

Now the children are gone

And  what I knew was wrong

When death came between us

So I ask

One last time

REMOVE ME PLEASE!

World of Colored Lights
The smell of sawdust
Tell me what do you see
Is it little O me??

The mixture of emotions
that lay endlessly
hides my sorrows
tremendously

The constant noise
makes me wonder where
my soul might be, where the roots
where Angels do lay

In the northern side of life
with the sweet tears that die
stirring the rays of light
from midnight sun that cast
with the purest blood of divine love ...

Where the colored lights
shine so bright, even the smell
of sawdust, brings the nights
too days of purest height  ...

My Friend the POETESS
There are those that see storms over the horizons
there are those that see the sunshine warmth on our face
and those that feel the rain, stinging their ambitions
with tears of sorrow and pain ...

There are those that sink into despair, that no longer
can cope, and those that see roses around every corner
of life, with blues and oranges and amazing silver, gold
love to mix with the earth's atmosphere...

There is my sweet friend Rupal, that have welcome
me with open arms, she is one that I admire when life's
trails come to call, who worries about her friends, she walks
with courage and laughter that flies through these screens ....

My sad poems brings to her concern, that life is throwing
me lemons, not the roses she foresees, with the wonderful
kind of inspiration that she offers with each smile, she makes
me want to please her with each word that I may write ....

So I hope in some small measure I can write to her my heart
with friendship, from my silly mind. You see to me, she is an
Angel sent from high above, whose soul is wide as the universe
with courage so strong, and words like fluffy clouds ..

That always brings a smile, to this face of mine, I want to ask her
to collaborate a poem with me, she can answer yes or no????
My heart would be glowing if we could write our fanciful world
and make some one happy just once in our lives ..

So what do you say my sweet friend?? Would you consider this wish
of mine?, and write a wonderful poem that would heal someones hurt??
And make some hearts bow to the words of wisdom,  where truer words do bloom in your mind of your sweet, and love does abound ....

Debbie Brooks 2014
this is dedicated to Rupal..

for being so sweet and concerned with so much love to give.. and Would you consider writing a poem with me???

But Atlas
Atlas

It cannot be found

Within the confines

Of my mind ...

Years have stalked me

Somewhere in the deep

Hanging on to the precipice ...

Emotional

As In life my face to the sun

Defying the grip that comes ...

From below

I feel the warmth

The glow on my skin

The grip is loosed

As the beast transforms ...

From clay to wax

Warm rays of life giving

Sun

Have radiated through

My being ...

Only for it have been melted

Fast away

Once again summer is here to stay ...

No One

Wants you so

The way I feel for you

When summer has ended

Will you end too ...*

Corporal Bill on a Hill
It was 1950, his name was Corporal Bill.

The army had routed him to this God Forsaken Hill, that they called ‘ Pork chop’, for God alone knows why! He was new to the Unit’s Love company and had already been shot at and almost blown up during the earlier mission. This assignment was surely going to be another nightmare.
Arriving on the hill was no picnic. He was told to get ready for the next wave of North Korean troops, expected at any time. With 150 men, they knew they were outnumbered because the enemy always came in thousands.
He sat in his tent looking at the picture of his wife and their first baby that was coming. She was so lovely and he was so excited about their first child. He missed her so much. Holding the picture so tightly to his heart, he wondered if he would ever see his wife and their new baby. Thinking about her he said a silent prayer,
“Dear Lord would You please watch over them. Watch over us here in this unknown land where we fight a battle for an unknown cause. But since we are here, Lord so do please protect us.”
At that moment he heard warning shouts. Grabbing his gear he ran to the nearest foxhole. He jumped in and started shooting, shot after shot. It was as if a hail of a thousand bullets whizzing past everywhere. There was no time to think. The priority was just trying to stay alive. All around him he could see friends dropping off like flies.
Finally a lull in the shooting and the meds were swarming, trying to get to the injured, knowing that the next wave of the enemy would soon be upon them.
A miracle…!! Reinforcements arriving, another hundred men from Mike Company showed up.
‘Well at least that is something,’ Bill thought to himself.
It was the moment to catch their breath. Where ever they could lay their heads. Just trying to rest and eating out of their sea rations. They were all starving and so tired but afraid of going to sleep.
Then the voice from the loud speaker came on. Telling them how they were going to be killed, since they were outnumbered. If they surrendered, their lives would be spared.
‘I wish it would stop’ thought Bill. He looked around to see so many scared and petrified faces.
Then it was night. It was so dark one couldn’t see a hand in front of his face.
Bill found a place away from everyone near the cliff and settled in, wondering what was going to come next.
He must have dozed off, when he heard warning shouts. As he ran he heard the staccato of bullets firing. An offensive had been launched by the North Koreans. They were everywhere. He was being attacked caught off guard without his rifle; he fought them in a hand to hand combat and rushed to where his rifle lay. Stabbed in the hand he shot three enemy soldiers in quick succession. He didn’t know where to go since the enemy was everywhere. Jumping off the cliff, he held onto a branch for hours.
It was hours later and the sun was coming up. Bill pulled himself up with tired strained arms and bloodied hands. As he looked over the cliff, he saw bodies strewn everywhere. No enemy was in sight. As he was gathering his wits about, he saw movement and froze. Watching cautiously then he realized the four were his co-combatants of Love Company, badly bruised and shot. The five of them looked at each other and walked down the hill. Airlifted by helicopters, only five men out of two hundred and fifty survived the battle of Pork Chop Hill.
Corporal Bill
You are alive
By the Grace of God
You are alive.
Just wait Bill, there is more to come.
Your life is only starting
You have so much to do
The brave men of so long ago still
Spells out today.
He leads out of the fire
He gives His blessed assurance.
He gives His grace.
Oh enemy you cannot keep them down
They will be back and back.
With the Grace of God;
They will be back.

Because
Because

I love you, love you..
Because you were mine
You ask me why?
Many reasons, I replied
Feeling over whelmed
Savoring your touch one more time
There won't be any tomorrows
Without you wouldn't be the same
And I don't want to be afraid...

She lifted her chin and walked back to the love seat
Back to her feelings
To many tears
Indecision on her face.
Looking over her shoulder
She whispered with a crack in her voice..
"Do what you got to do."
Just know,
I will always love you."
Because...

Quietly Sad
I murmur
So quietly sad
Dear Lord
What's in store for me...

Laughter and joy are gone
I know no other to do
The love is gone
That I once knew....

There is a war in the world
The rage goes on and on
As flawed as this woman may be
I wonder with all my might
What might be in sight....

Dare I ask
What DO I deserve
The promises I hear
And all I see....

Promise me the moon
The stars oh please
Grace falls from His presence for thee
Is there any wonder at all.
For all the world to see. ....*

Sad Years Broken
Some people live for their pain
people like me
sometimes wanting to dream
and not being able to sleep
to dream one more time
to know and learn
seems so useless
unable to move on
you see the world sees us as ants, wanting love, and getting smashed instead. the fundamentals of life .....

How sad all those years are gone.
Her heart was broken.
The sweetness of love
Destroyed
Kissing
The sadness
Goodbye
Something in the way he kissed
Made her believe in now
To look for the future
Of love to make
With the one
Of her heart
Sorrow
Overtook
Her spirit
Then came peace
Those were the sad years broken...*

You would Say
The time you look my way
'So beautiful'
You would say
'You are always on my mind'
Always this very day
‘How can I tell you?'
How beautiful I think you are?’
The time you looked my way
Was so very nice today
‘Oh so beautiful
That you make me cry’
The time you held me
Until I signed
So gentle to the touch
To let me know
I was the one
'You’re my angel'
You would say
‘I am the one
Who feels blessed?’
Oh so many days
Holding my Angel song
In your hands
You knew me
We couldn't go wrong
You were leaning into me
As our lips touched
No matter how much fun it would be
I was not in my right mind
You said
‘It didn’t matter
You loved me anyway’
Then the letter
I sent
That was sealed with a kiss
It was special to my heart
I thought it was you
As you blew it
Brought to my heart
With a fright
Beauty lies within
As it flies on by
Tell me why?
What beauty you shall see
As it walks on thy hand
Hold me you say
One last time this day
I am no exception to the rule
There always is a fool
Just one more time as I am blue
As you walked out that
Door
You said
“One Last time tonight and no more."

Her Name was Princess
"It's coming on the end of August,
Another Summer's promise almost gone.
And I heard some wise man say,
That every dog should have his day.
He never mentioned that these dog days get so long."

"It's coming on the end of August,
Another Summer's promise almost gone.
And I heard some wise man say,
That every dog should have his day.
He never mentioned that these dog days get so long."

It was the end of summer, long long hot days maybe they would start fading, maybe the beach had something else in mind.

It had started out as a nice day.

Katlin's beauty was very noticeable, everyone that came in contact with her, felt drawn to her not only by her beauty but her persona, she loved people and people loved her. Her long blond hair flowed perfect around her shoulders, deep golden blue eyes made all men stop in their tracks. Although she had such beauty she had only one man in mind, and he called her princess.

Katlin saw the weather report it looked like bad weather was coming. She waited most of the day waiting and waiting for her love to get back.
And then....
The stars were blinking as she walked by
The landscape was loyal to her
Down in South Padre’s Island
Where they built their life of long ago...

In a way Dean, was glad of the surprised meeting he had with Katlin. Never expecting such a beauty would look at him and thanked his stars that she did. Their meeting per chance…him  looking at houses on the Island, she the realtor.  After dating for a while, he wished to move in with her, if she would only let him, her husband having passed away six months earlier.

Katlin was watching the weather report she realized they were going to have a bad storm . It was coming their way.
Startled by its ferocity, getting scared, she realized she couldn’t wait any longer. She started throwing things into the car keeping an eye, looking out for Dean.
It had been so long! Knowing if she lost him now she realized that it would break her heart.
The billowing wind was whistling past the palm trees, she had to hurry.
Walking on to their boat’s deck, she looked at the ocean and she couldn’t believe what she saw.
People were out surfing.
What was wrong with these people? With an urge welling in her to walk, she didn't want to get in that car. Maybe if she did walk Dean would be back soon… So walk she did
A new life was waiting for her
If only she would inhale
The tides of her life
A drug of a memory haunted her
Mirrored in pirouette
On South Padre Island
She was a Princess in His eyes
But everything felt strange

The wind was picking up, blowing the trees.
She was downright scared
As the sand hit the air it was thick with surf, she could feel it against her skin this cool evening. She knew she had to find her way back home. She knew that the wind now turning into a hurricane was headed her way. She had to get off this island. She wondered why she stayed so long on the beach.
As she was running, trying to find shelter she ran by the bathrooms near the beach… Suddenly, a pair of hands grabbed her and pulled her inside. She gasped and was shocked when she  came face to face with a strange man. In fact, he scared her. She realized the man was around her age and the wind had weathered him. A closer look, his appearance was actually pleasing. His sandy blond hair and green eyes were piercing.
Though she felt uncomfortable, but couldn't take her eyes off of him.
Gasping still, he dropped his hands from her body and looked into her eyes.
"I hope you are alright, and please don't be scared." He told her in a gentle voice.
His voice was reassuring, calming her tattered nerves.
"I am fine but scared, we need to get to a better shelter, the hurricane is coming and we are not safe." Mustering courage, she did not have time for tears.
Katlin tried looking down the beach from the bathroom shelter, hoping to see Dave, knowing well that he was somewhere else safe.
She wondered where he could be. Why didn't he come, get her, so they could have left? She tried his cell phone, no answer. What was going on?
She turned around and saw the stranger staring at her. "Sorry I thought I would be able to get my phone to work. But it is no use."
The wind sounded like a banshee, the waves getting bigger, water splashing into the bathroom. Wanting to step out, the hands held her firmly by the arm.
"Where are you going? You do not have a chance out there." He yelled at her.
She yelled back, "We do not have a chance in here."
He wouldn't let go of her and pressed his body against hers… and then they were on the floor with his body on hers. When the water started getting deeper, he pulled her against the wall out of the water. She felt they didn't have a chance.
She realized his hands were not where they were supposed to be. She didn't hear the wind anymore and she didn't feel the water rising. All she felt was his hands and the look in his eyes. Was she going to die in this man's arms? A man she had no idea who he was?
It felt like hours, but his lips tasted so good and she was so scared and for some reason she felt safe. She wanted him, and she knew she wanted her.
For a moment, he stopped what he was doing and looked in her eyes and whispered in her ear, "I am sorry, but I need you, may I have you this last hour of our life?"
She couldn't help herself, if she lived another hour, she knew she wanted this man too. She nodded yes and whispered I want you too.
As the water rose so did their temperatures,  the heat between them becoming intense. Her mind going blank, as his hands explored her body. It was at that moment both knew they had reached where only they could, with spasms of desire flowing between them...
The heat brought them to another level, when the wind stopped, they stopped, looking at each other.
Total silence…the eye of the storm.
He stepped back and looked at her and murmured "I am so sorry, I feel like I was ****** you and that is not who I am."
Katlin gasped and let out a cry and started running. Ran out of the bathroom and ran some more.
Then she remembered her love once more.
Where was her love? She had a nasty feeling. She found her car. Nearly in tears, as she started driving away trying to get off the island and looking for Dean's Jeep at the same time.
Driving from one end of the island to the other in bumper to bumper traffic, her hands were shaking, the winds were picking up again, whipping everything. She saw things flying and she was scared.
She decided to get off the main road and drive towards the beach once again when she saw a jeep turned upside down. Nearly freezing with fear, pulled off the side of the road and ran to see who it was. It was raining again, raining so hard the wind was worse than ever. It kept pushing her back and sideways, finally after it seemed like an eternity she reached the jeep and saw Dean  upside down and he was bleeding.
Katlin screamed Dean's name. She tried pulling him out but could not budge him. Then before she knew it, there were other people there working trying to get him out. Then next, waves were crashing and the wind so violent…she was pushed with her head hitting the car fender. As she blacked out she remembered her love.
Death Was Here....
The Death that was coming was going to be no more.
The pain would be gone
This day
You must let go
Of all the things you
Own
You cannot hold fast
For the colors fade
And light is gone
The world
Itself
Will spin
And there will be another day
But this day is gone
Lives would be gone this day!

Dean was gone. With time elapsing, Katlin tried to forget that frightening day, the howling wind and the rain, but what she couldn't forget was the man she met for brief moments, in the bathroom, those moments that would haunt her.
Sitting at Dave’s graveside, Katlin felt someone staring. As she looked, in the distance under the yew tree saw the shadow of a man. The man she knew only briefly, a man she wanted to know more of. Had he saved her life?
Then he was gone...

Dangerously Sexy
Brooke hit it off with Edric from the moment they met.

The dangerously ****, tattooed ex-SEAL and always a poet, Detective for the LAPD, remains as one of the best friends she’s ever had, the main star in her wildest fantasies.
When they met he did not see her that way. And she would have died of embarrassment if he found out she was still a ******. And he was about to stake his claim, struggling to keep his attraction to the beautiful, blond dancer a secret.
He was not good enough for her; that is what he thought. On a day when an attacker targeted Brooke, Edric’s protective instincts went into overdrive.
With the attraction between them burning like a torch flame, he would do whatever it took to protect her and tell her they were meant to be together.
One evening, deciding to express her love for her, Edric waited outside the door, keeping watch over the woman he loved secretly. Then he saw her through the curtain, dressed in her black fur coat.
Not realizing that she was being watched, yet fantasizing about the man of her dreams, Brooke lowered her fur coat standing in front of her mirror.
Her soft ******* protruding out from her black lace bra, in her mind waiting for Edric’s hands to touch her love her, want her like she wanted him... As the coat slipped down her black lace skimpy ******* seemed so inviting. Her dreams of him were getting so vivid. She would imagine him standing over her, kneeling, as he slipped his hand under the cover, exploring her body, wanting her, making her desire so real. Seeing Brooke in her lingerie, he was awestruck by her beauty and wondered what to do next.
Hesitatingly, he moved towards the door and to his shock saw a shadow, moving slowly, stealthily, trying to pry the windows. Failing to open the window, he moved towards the door. He pulled out a bunch of keys trying out one by one. Edric’s first response was to call for backup. He called leading detective Donovan Mallow his partner. Then the shadow opened Brooke’s door and started creeping in, Edric wasting no time, Edric charged to stop him. Suddenly he heard a shot that rang out into the night. There was Brooke standing in her black lace bra and *******, holding a gun and the intruder lay dead on the floor.

“Brooke drop the gun, please Brooke drop the gun.” Brooke was shaking… “Brooke, sweetheart, drop the gun. “She looked at Edric and let the gun fall to the floor softly.  On the verge of tears, petrified out of her wits since she had never used a gun before,  and to **** a man, she shook violently. Edric walked over to her and picks her and covered her half naked body with his coat.
When Detective Donovan showed up, Edric held her close while the former checked  the body and called for the paramedics and further back up. When the police came, CIS took finger prints, investigating the crime scene.
Edric found Brooke some clothes and dressed her, escorting her to the precinct for recording of her statement. She was questioned and released.
With Edric’s story and Detective Donovan backing her up, she was released. Not wanting to disturb the crime scene, Edric escorted her to his home and put her in bed. Brooke, I need to tell you something, is what he said.
“I am listening”…Brooke was shivering after having gone through the trauma, yet attentive listening to the man that she had secretly admired. “I want you to know, I love you”.  “You love me? I love you too. I always have.” Brooke looked at Edric with an adulation emanating from her very soul.
As an instinctive response, shivering, she let her head lean on his shoulder. “Edric then please make love to me. I have yearned for you so long”.
As the sun slipped from its perch in the sky slowly, drawing well into the darkness, the shores where the waves would roll and sigh, Edric slowly undressed Brooke, one piece at a time. As he took off her blouse admiring her beautiful soft protruding ******* with each moment her ******* getting hard. Taking  off her pants and there were the black lace ******* he had seen from the window. Her firm and tight stomach and legs, she looked so delectably **** and beautiful. She was lying with a look of anticipation on her face. He enveloped her with his arms and kissed her softly, passionately. He didn’t want to scare her.
“Edric, I have to tell you.” Brooke whispered in his ear. “Later Brooke, you can tell me later.” He was so aroused and was getting so hard. “No, Edric now.. I have to tell you now.” Edric stopped and looked at her, “What is it darling?”
“Edric I am a ******. You are my first man. I have never been with another man.” Edric sat there and couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He knew then that he had to be gentle. A wrong step and he would scare Brooke. He held her hand and kissed it.
"I kind of suspected but am surprised. You always had a naïve gentleness and girlishness about you. You always seemed so vulnerable that I always wanted to protect. You always had affected me in a way that I couldn't explain; no other woman has ever done that to me.”

Saying that he helped her dress and holding her hand led her towards the ****** beach outside his cottage. Wrapping her in his arms, they watched the beautiful glow of the stars, eyes aglow with passion of locked hands. Edric spoke his favorite lyrics, into her mouth as he started kissing her.
What a poet was he!! Impatience getting the better of her, “Edric, please make love to me… Oh! how I want you.”
His kisses were soft but passionate; they started at her lips to the base of her neck sliding down to her *******. When they got to her stomach her breath trembled, yearning for more.
Electric shocks ran down her spine. She almost screamed. The winds gently swirled, dancing to their rhythm of their passion. A girl, morphed that sweet evening, as Edric make sweet passionate love to her and made her into a blossoming woman.
Guess, there is nothing in the world that matched the feeling of eclectic emotions that were born that night. When a tired sun finally arose as a grim reminder of the end of an ethereal night, it sighed endlessly, spreading a gentle caress across Brooke’s cheek, pledging that she was bound to Eric for eternity.

That's the Day She Ran Away
Hello, you can call me Samantha.

This is the first day of the rest of my life and it might be my last.

Imagine me this day, maybe I wasn’t the best kid in school, and I always felt alone. I didn’t try very hard because I never had anything to work for, and I always dreamed. Dreamed about becoming anything other than I was.

The child abuse that I endured, the **** later on, Was it too much to bear? You bet it was!

That’s when I ran away. The pain was just too much.

No One there

To hold me

Tight

A house

Is not a home

So please

Don’t tell me

That happiness

Is there

When a house is not a

Home

You see that house with the kids playing and daddy is smiling and mommy loving? That is not my home.

Where it’s fun to live, the noise would be too deafening of laughter in my throat.

Where tears are all I knew, so from this day forward I am gone.

To be no more;

She had white Roses in Her hair

In her golden hair

Her crown of thorns

Bloodstains

Her angelica

Face

So torn

Free

Angels

Fall sometimes

Angels

Even

Cry

Where was she to go?

Running away to a nowhere ending,

There were no roses, no violets, and no violins. Only pain and no surrender;

Her mother died at age 10, she thinks in 19 something, her memory wasn’t that good anymore and then the abuse started. All she knew was that her mom had been dying for years and her father was a very angry man. Samantha was the one her father took the anger out on.

Actually her mom died when she was born, and then at three she died a little more, then at seven she died lots more and then at ten she was in the ground.

As far she recalled her mom has been slipping away for years. Slipping, slipping and slipping. The casket just made it official.

She was always just out of reach. So you see she had a ten year lifetime of the inevitable.

When she left for the last time sleeping that last sleep of forever and enduring of five years of her father’s ****** her and beating her.

That day she just walked out!

Samantha did not care where she went.

A short lifetime of regrets, goodbyes, longings and yearnings and wanting love that was never meant to be:

How long does Samantha just keep on dying with her? How long?
As her head lay down next to her mom’s that fateful day.

That’s the day she ran away;

Kiss me on my tulips
Her ruby red lips
Begged for more
In the bright starlight
of the morning bright ...

He reached out a finger
To trace the life
Of her face
He said ...

“Life is too short
To mess around”
Snuggling closer
He tucked her in ...

Settling
Reveling in security
Not to mention the tingling
In her tummy...

Kiss me
Come on,
Let me feel forever
Your love on my skin ...

Settle down with me
And I will be your lady
Your lips
Eyes ...

Will be mine to love
Kiss me
Like you want to be kissed ...

Tell me my love
I am waiting for more
I need to be patient
I need to be kind ...

This love has me wanting more
The longing
Takes me away
Give me your heart ...

I beg
Kiss me on my tulips ...

Pangs of Love
She was  surprised to wake up in his arms. His breathing was slow, and steady, she thought he was still sleeping, a steady movement against her hands..
She had to admit it felt good but she was still surprised. Her heart was thumping against his cheek, strong and becoming excited.

It was difficult to believe she was laying in a hotel room with this man, practically naked, with a man she hadn't known very long. There was an attraction between them neither one could deny, the emotions were strong and the passion they felt just looking at each other, and when they touched it was an explosion of excitement.

She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, trying to gather her thoughts which was hard when she laid so close to him, this gorgeous man. His hand started moving where he was cradling her neck to her hair. He was awake.

"Good Morning lovely," He whispered...
"Hello, you are awake." She was surprised.
"Yes, been awake for a while, just wanting to look at you. I didn't want to disturb you.." He was grinning. He looked so happy.

"I guess I fell asleep. I am so sorry,  too much wine for me." She felt embarrassed, she didn't usually make a habit of going to a motel with a man.

"Hey me too. I guess it was the moment the ***** and the anticipation, but that's alright it is nice being here with you." he smiled at her with a smile that melted her heart.

With her next question she held her breath, she really didn't want to know the answer but she had to know.  "When do you have to leave?"

She knew he was leaving, he had mentioned it  but....... It made her so sad so they had avoided the subject.

"Not until this evening, my love," she looked at her face memorizing every inch of it, "Any regrets love?"

"What do you mean?" She asked very sad.

"For anything, for how you are feeling, love look at me." his hand took her chin and turned her head to him. "Talk to me, how are you feeling?"

"You are leaving, I am very sad and disappointed, we just met and I feel this connection with you. I haven't had much luck with relationships and then I meet you and its instant attraction. How do you expect me to feel? I feel numb, sad and just want to cry, but I am a big girl. Life will go on and you will still be gone." She pulled away, got out of bed and started putting her clothes on, then she stopped and looked at him. "You might not ever come back alive. This war, is senseless, you are going to fight for nothing. I have already lost you. I can not stand it.. That's how I am feeling."

With that she grabbed the rest of her clothes and her belongings and ran out the hotel room. She ran until she could run no more. She ran into the park and found a tree, and cried. She wanted to die.

Mermaid Love Battle Cry
They saw her form so raw
Heart beats wildly one more time
Oneness is the form
Passion was their battle cry ...

Love was their steadfast armor
Cradle each other in their thoughts
When they saw the other
Inviting the other in their dreams ...

Now,all the aches of dripping words
Cry for the other in this world
With loving arms she did come
Before the waking moment was done ...

When they breathe each other so true
Their sleepy eyes lock once more
Their one power that makes them weep
Passion arises one more time...

This was their Battle cry...

Cherokee Justice
Cherokee Nation was ******
From their way of life
Their blades and knives
Were banned and their wives.....

Cherokee Justice I will ask
Where is the saneness to this life
So proud to live and so sad
And death welcome to those so bad ...

Took their way of life
Turned them to shirts and ties
Took their way to live
As their young still cries....

Their Mother town given by the creator
Just one drop of blood to each
Each one important as the last
Cherokee, all was taken but not the past ...

I have Cherokee in my blood
So proud to say
With the flashback of their lives
They Cant take that Away....

Writing the Stars
Writing the Stars makes one weep

with each word

bears ones weight

words slip through ones fingers

life quicksand

through life's door ...

The catacombs of my mind

aspires writing the stars

gazing upon the world tonight

in the evening breeze

flies without a ripple

to each fallen star

that is thrown so far ...

Like a caged bird

fluttering around

words upon stars

will they fly

even death calling

doesn't really matter ...

Writing the stars

makes one wonder ...

So fly high and write higher

among each star

sing your blues away

as you are writing among the  beautiful stars  tonight ...*

Withered Silver
What a loom of withered silver

As it spoons its satins lairs

As the tears weeps lonely tears

Drops of love gone down the glare ...

The heartless door to no return

Screaming at the cursed door

as you walked one last time

Telling me you're never come home ...

The withered silver lies on the floor

Holding my heart one last time

Tulips blooms seems to taunt me

Love dies... as I cry the death of tears.....

What luring pride of caustic nature

The kiss came like a whiplash like no other

That tore my throat in yellow sunlight

That carried him away one last time ...

As the grieving process began

As I lay among the field

In the withered silver snow

You never came back again....

Forbidden Beauty
Forbidden Beauty

Velvet touch was her beauty
Sweet, nonsensical, magical sin
In her clandestine dreams
Detecting her whisper voice
In beauty times does swell
Her silence breathes come alive
With beauty to match no other ...

Her eyes had more beauty
than any rose
with dreams of supreme gifts
her man would explode
with her kiss as a pill
she sings notes of her love
voiced keys and intervals of tenor
she closes her eyes in search
of a remedy ...

She's healed his lonely heart
with only a smile
as she leaves him in awe
of her soul~he drives many a mile....

As a woman of divine
magnifications
her ambiance,
majestic with song
medicine of melody
tune ~ she is one of a kind.....

He realized with sadness
she's his lost fantasy
he escapes from the harshness of reality~
knowing oh knowing ~ she was
Forbidden for all to touch ...*

Music Weeps
Some day yes some day, as the music weeps

She had the dream, edges of a rose
waiting for the question she suppose
too young to understand the wicked wind that belongs
still he sings to her, the love song.....

He had known her  for so long
waiting with a question when she came along
wanting for her lovely soul to belong
to ask the lovely her for her lifelong......

The dream was on fire that fiery night
soaring strides in the park in the worried light
in the silhouettes of the wind
they took the long way to find a friend.....

He was asking her the question again
yes its the dream and a suggestion it seems
about life, and please just listen he screams
just say yes, he has a question and when.....

Some day yes... the music still weeps
and waits for her lovely soul to keep....*

Time was...
Stranded in your present
laying in your loving arms
you reaching for my form
stimulating my lips
plunged restlessly what may
discovering each other
inside and out

Walking towards me
a little wildness knowing what was coming
holding my breath
between the roses of stars
kissing the inside of my mind
coming apart at the seams

He touched me low
made my lips part
my breath cease

Opened his hand on my stomach
I might never have been touched before
while we become one
so fervid was my reaction
a shudder and soft grasp
I drew his hand down
claimed his mouth with mine

holding on to tomorrows
Beyond the beautiful forever's..*

They Were Infinite
Their ever present world of love
All the love in heaven displayed
here on earth in their earthly bed

Here on earth their love to abide
Bathing in kisses of mighty heat
****** hands they knew not
exploring each other
that they adored!

Disturbingly calm
a moaning shadow
caught them suddenly
completely off guard

Awake as they hear their breathing
the sounds lingers on their skin
soft and warm the touches were free
huddling in moments of moonlight
they were infinite were they......

Canvas of my writing
I used to think
The world was my canvas
I would paint upon
And speak my thoughts
That I ponder on
A World of love
I would write them unto my mind

That would hear my words
So I try and try
But to no avail
Our hearts are ripped
From day to day

We paint
We write
We love
We pray
In this world of canvas

Among all the meaningless time
In the end they are all the same
All the feelings that flows through our
Veins
As we discover life of the arts
In various ways
In the world of canvas...

In my Vision
You’re my tortured skin begging to feel your touch
Your words kiss me on my lips, your description
Fascinates me, with mouths wide open you hold me
In my vision….

You tell me I am your temptress of emotions, as you outline
My face with your fingertips, you touch me with a hunger
That burns, as my hand glide across your chest.. my face
rubs your manly hair, as my vision of you makes me smile…

With every step you make me in an ****** vision tunneled
I swallowed your intoxicate silhouette, as sweat drips
From my eyelashes, my lips tremble, as you approach me
I am open in the vibration of the vision …

Our bodies molten by the hot liquid of our lava, we gyrates
In our convulsion of each other, I see you turn In my direction
My pulse races at a faster impulsion, you stand there, soaking in my sight
I don’t want to walk away from this vision ….

Rendering Tears
Rendering Tears of painful knowing
beyond human endurance
her tiny nose pressed to the window
her little breath clouding over
shortness coming to her little form
in a voice of inky blackness
in a small voice she cried
till the very end ...

Her tortured heart becomes a shadow
Understanding blindness
just means another
Even in the vast darkness
overcoming the death of her blackness ...

The sky so blue changing colors
turning black to the touch she feels numb
Those were times she had wept so silently
never knowing what was to become ...

"Never go", she whispers softly
As the Angel sat at her side
holding the little one so gently
knowing the hurt she did abide ...

The dawn was coming
beyond the night
singing softly
a little song
Little Serenity was dreaming ...

She has now outlived
the pain and sorrow this day so long,
The Angel sat long and hard
Purple clothes had she
Holding the child in her arms
crying softly 'Why? Oh how could this be?" ...

Delivering the child softly and tenderly to the arm's of the Queen
She stood poise waiting for the blessed command.

Sometimes in the night her frozen voice would crack
In the tight mountain hedge, she could hear the horse’s hooves
just knowing the princess was coming to snack
a sad tale unwinding , that so many could meet....

A spell wonder to a nonchalant breeze,
stood the princess wanting to succeed
a beautiful hidden disaster, the dragon was to come
fragments of her shattered life once more will become ...

Prism wonder frozen to the core
ice castles hidden from many an eyes sore
stood the dragon in all his beauty just waiting to succeed
in walked the princess not knowing the deed ...

Here my pretty eat the HONEY tonight
tomorrow you will be happy as a lark
disappearing towers ancient and tall
would swallow the princess once and for all ...

Reckless deeds neglect and hate
looking in the mirror to find her fate
Asleep falls the princess so sweet
as laughter and the Beie, our sweet honeybees
cry and plan to escape ...

Continue, as she would fly down the dragon’s path
to her surprise meeting the prince's wrath
one little kiss melted the arctic thaw
the princess was awake and a little raw......

What Else Can This Be
I myself, walk these ghostly paths

As I am today

A captain of my fate

Crying to a ghostly sea

What else can this be……

Flowing oh so gently

Heavenly now

Dredging into unknown waters

Have stayed the course

What else will this be……

Her majesty drowning in the phantoms

Of her forever more

Strength love will prevail

In your walking dream

Journey to your life

Center of your heart

Finding treasures along the way’

What else could this be…..

Leaving behind all turmoil

Choosing calm and tranquility

Souls shimmering

Today is yesterday

With different loves

Yesterday tomorrow

With fleeting smiles

What else would this be……

Pleading voices oddly quiet

Placing in the failing holes

Pieces drifted off somewhere

Or simply left behind

What else should this be…….

Giving your whole heart

Once again

That turns to shattered love

Turning God's plan for grace

Love and peace desire and good

What else has this been......

Sun Love Eyes Of Flowers

Flowing through the everlasting

Holding faith way beyond

Touching greatness

In flowers eyes there is no fear

Singing melodies of softly

Beyond the distance space

What else can it be…..

You Could Be The Kiss
Dear Kind Sir

You could be the kiss
You could be the one I dream of last
The longing that lasts in my trembling
The far away feeling that has me penned to the wall..

Dear Kind Sir

You could be the Kiss
That envelops me one more time
That takes me on trips in my mind
That holds my very heart, that treats me kind...

Dear Kind Sir

You could be the kiss
That wakes me up under the covers
That holds my hand as you watch me dance
That tells me, your be my knight, so far as we are lovers...

Dear Kind Sir

Just one more kiss
I beg to see those eyes look deep in mine
Tell me you long for my love, just one more time
Just one more kiss, do or die...

Basking in the Morning Sun
Warmth of the sun, and not so far away

holds my very soul, on this lovely day

I read every word over and over again

each precious note sung thousands of hymns

to our love, as you leave with keys in hand....

You call me your beauty, you call me your lovely

so many times before, each word grabs my heart

strikes me one more time with tears, as we part

on this very lovely day.....

I thought you were gone, like an old newspaper

sweeping through my life, with your tidal waves of thought

basking in the morning sun, so very alone

I look at you remembering , the love we had so new ...

Realizing the words won't come, the nonchalance of it all

the dreams are no more,  please let me bask in the sun

my longings you never kept, next to your lonely heart

you just didn't know you consumed my very life ...

You want to taste it on your impish plate

you want me once again, so sorry you have to wait

that day has forever gone, but it was so very sweet

that precious love of ours, you had sweep me off my feet ...

My darling this is goodbye. in this warmth that had begun

our love can never be delivered in the original form

the scent of your closeness, brings wonderful memories

but please just let me bask in the morning sun.....

A Dreamed That was Cursed
Sitting released in remorse, what should I do
losing so much, the demon rests, sleeping
and dreaming takes to much time, only hurt
is what collides in my impending flow ...

Where has the time gone, were you really real?
that should be the question that ripples my mind
my voice regresses of what the sound should be
that keeps echoing through the walls,
as he walks out the door ....

I lay perplexed in this storm of raging sadness
that overwhelms me, tears come of a deluge
of a wasted time, salty in taste and bitter
on the tongue, there's no sweetness left to behold ...

I walk around in the daze, looking maybe just one more
time, you might be there, the darkness has set in, blackness,
with no heaven in sight. only the painful gilded happens
of a love that is lost, no special treatment, no more "I love you,
baby" no more sweet love  ....

The goblins curse, our dream resides lost in my mind
erasing all mémoires that might have been kind, in an
unmindful sleep, of an incubus if you will, rogue with
a ripping heart, that is torn apart ....

Seizing the words that hold the heart in check, the tears
rain, as a banshee screams, and vanishes me from my
ambition, evil is the demons of past seeds, your words
ring, oh so true, as you abandon our life, dreams,
hopes, and it seems, never to end,,

Our dream is cursed What did you say?

Past Is the Past
The Past is the Past ..
loneliness creeps right in..
the heart stops for a second
makes one wonder and ponder what is going on..
Tears fall like raindrops on a dry day in March
Spring slowly creeps in and surrounds us like the misty dew that it is..
those that shine through the deep mist of life will be like fallen snow ..
that sparks through the distant on the edge of the inevitable fade of the life that once begun..
Folds of mountain streams
like a breathe of nature's curves
spreading around the cascading rain
the moments I felt I belonged
were seconds that I was actually  alone
nothing familiar comes my way
as I lay here in this forgotten grave

Blessing my friends..

precious rain

in the ever bending
liquid blades
possessions collected
drawing me closer
to the simple beauty of it..

Dear You
Dear You...

My pen writes and flows
Straight from the heart it knows
I write to write
Because I write
I write because it's me

This person or that might not like
This person or not
Maybe so, maybe no
All I know is I like to write...

Because I write for thee
and the poetess in me...

Debbie Brooks 2014
I write for thee and me...
it was only yesterday, that began my dream. a dream that took my breath away, I just knew, I had to tell you, that the other day was so new, darling please tell me what to do, as soon as I picked up your heart, I can't believe thats its true, oh no, my dream my silent heart is crushed.
You tell me we are one, and then you turn your heart around, darling we who are loved, will never un-love...that crippling fear, that grips you by the throat that makes you know that the un-love was never there.
the sipped rain watches us, cry our silent hearts out, it watched us fall, even though we were so proud and tall, we slump into the storms raging around us.
sips of twisted darkness holds fast to the sinister that bares our souls into each others being, don't you know the love, that fell away, the love tore our hearts out? The sinister held on our lives, that never seems to die?
yes it was only yesterday, the wearing of seasons wore my life away, please just hold me one more time, in the deep dusky hollow of time. as my silent heart awaits my certain fate my dream that took my breath away.

What is a Sonnet
Sonnet is love
sonnet is rhyme'
metaphorical pattern
so much sublime

Popular with poets
the Elizabethans too
used it to woo
their mistresses so few

John Donne,
catching the spirit of the Jacobean age
his need to express his love for his wife,
Anne

Expression of religious passion
and simply reflections of death
The Victorians
and so many more

Elizabeth Barrett Browning,
the Rossettis,
and George Meredith
were so new

American poets noted
Longfellow,
E. A. Robinson,
Elinor Wylie, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Sonnets make us sing
makes us laugh
cry with saving grace
universal themes of love ....

Keep writing those sonnets
all you wonderful
poets
that we all adore...

As Rupal says,

Little Too Late
For a short bit of time the smiles were Contagious

Now the solicitude wins out Memories that Overplay

While crumbled stones attack my thinly callused Feet

As the tears fall so readily down the path

Unknowingly, that was so neat

As I escape the roadway my feet hurt so Daringly

My toes crush a fallen limb the cries come so Loudly

Tackle and break the heart from head to Toe

But as I look up and see the stars the glacier looks Deep

They twinkle brightly in the red sweet ****** of a Sweet lip

Wanting to remember those beautiful days with You

Bright fireworks thrilled us gentle looks of Love

But fear has set in love has turned to Hate

Sleeping with sadness like I would be with a Blanket

As I thrash every night all night Long

Longing for the morning to come and find me Alone

The noise like grinding teeth I wonder if that is Me

As blankets accumulate like my sadness Does

I jump to my feet crying this can be no more

As I run blindly to find my life yearning and Believing

Wearing thin I knew I could not stand any Longer

So the urge to fly away comes so very Strongly

And that  breaks my Heart....

You and Me on the Rug
A black silhouette forms around me
holding me fast as you arrive
The fire is blazing in the background'
glasses of wine for two tonight....

Dinner and candles as kisses blow
As we cross each others paths
Holding our love till it cherishes
We give our hearts to the other.....

You and Me on the rug....

You walk up to me and stretch your hand
May I have this dance?
Your lips nuzzle me, little kisses oh so nice
Excited to see what come what may...

We talk into the night
You bring my emotion of the life I had lived
From the vibrations of our lips
We soak in each others love...

You and me on the Rug
In front of the fire
Holding me fast
Telling me of undying love..

You and me on the Rug...

You heard my words,
you stung my soul
you turned away
while I loved you forever...

The nights were long
as you sat there staring
you reached for me
you knew, I would love you forever ....

Our hands would meet
Lips would part
my heart would sing
yes I loved you forever ....

The darkness would part
the daylight brought forth
the words of truth, I told you
I will love you forever....

The colors of jazz you see
flying here, playing there, that was me
music was my belief
in this long lost memory...

All things still pass
like shards of glass
floating and fading in misty aura
believing what we are...

Refraining  far beyond
grasping  to succumbe
releasing the cold
reflections of old....

Wasted days of silent answers
inside this eternity's blanket
through the immortal echo
reflections in a world of mirrors...

Release me I cry..

The silence you sing
softens my soul
let's me whisper
what a fool I been
I see the soft moons
the flowers so blue
holding my heart
as merriment so new
journeys reach around my heart
hauntingly holding my spirit grace
love comes and softens
the laughter brings
the singing doth spent
oh the ocean air
feels so good
kisses my blessings
one more time
the eternal singing
that softens my soul.
I was saved for this day
On this merriment way
Your singing hills doth bring,

Holding your arms for all to see
dripping with wonderlands regain to be
peaceful upon stoic breezes
kissing the cascading rain
there you were once again...

There were moments we once belonged
but now everything seems so wrong
sitting beneath your branches so strong
reaching for my life once more
waterfalls spray and wash us clean

Your blue limbs for all to see
holding my hand till eternity

Crying the tears of beauty....... your broken Sun

wondering where it had all begun

He Called Her Baby
It must have been the stars
must have been the night
must have been the kisses
that struck her right ...

The tingles from her head
down to her toes...the first talk
butterflies churning, palms wet
breath hot, seeking forth ...

Running into his arms
never letting go, seeking passion
in their steamy room with deep
sounding voice, he touches her lips ....

Whispers in her ears, excitement comes
again ... rush of electric rushes through
their beings, she leans into him, lust
has arrived he peers deep into her eyes ...

Come to me my love, let this be the night
let it release and let me call you mine
he brushes the side of her face
As He calls her baby ...

My Twilight Poetry
Poetry to me is the expression of one’s own heartbeat.

Just as its rhythmic presence fluctuates or subsides at different intervals of our lives.

Poetry is universally recognized by all.

There is an immediate touch

Melancholy

Yesterday

Tomorrow

Skulking somewhere in the deep

The voices echo

Through my head

The voices are foreign

I cant quite make out the sound

But you are here I know

My poetry speaks

It says to you

Kiss the thought I have so new

In the shadow of the dawn

There was the touch

That everyone looks toward

The light...

My twilight poetry

You Were Forever
Forever in the thickening
in your splendid heart
I felt your soul
Shadows huddle tightly
no remorse etching of this life
down by the waterfall
we were forever
on that sweet day
recalling what it was like
to be
forever in your arms
with stained starved memory
against the starlight night
with storms on the horizon
time slips away
in the peaceful ride
beyond the tomorrows
of yesterdays
You were forever
in my loving mind...*

Tears Are All She Knew
Where tears are all she knew,

and from this day forward she flew..

to be no more; she mourns

simple white roses,

tangled and torn

in her golden hair that poses

her crown of thorns

bloodstains that disclosures

her angelica face of bedlam dreams

so torn to be free, oh so free

angels fall sometimes  even cry

and maybe just maybe angels die....*
