"immorality" poems
Municipal Gum was written by Oodjeroo Noonecaal. Municipal Gum is about the changes in society and the tendency of people to want to control everything. Oodjeroo uses various techniques to convey this idea. At the beginning of the poem Oodjeroo is addressing the tree. This immediately creates empathy for both the tree and her people. By the last line she has emphasised this with the pronoun “us” to show that they suffer a similar fate. This poem expresses how life in Australia has changes especially for Aboriginal people. In the first half of the poem Oodjeroo is talking about how life was for her and others. It explores the changes in society and the displacement of the Aboriginal people from their land. “Whose head hung…Its hopelessness”, the author uses this as further re-iteration of the immorality of the situation and by the use of analogy comparing the tree to her people to further emphasise the shame and lack control of that the Europeans have inflicted upon her and the environment. Oodjeroo uses extended metaphor technique in the very first line of the poem ‘Hard bitumen around your feet’. This means that the gumtree has been placed in the city scape where it is suppressed and not allowed to spread out and be unique in its own way. This is clear and immanently direct link to the pain and suffering endured by the Aborigines post European settlement. Oodjeroo uses vivid language to present these ideas. For example the use of the word castrated is very effective. The connotation of the word is very demeaning. With castration often comes a sense of a loss of pride and power. The word castration is symbolic of how Oodjeroo feels the European have treated Aboriginal people and the environment. Castration also refers to the fact that what is done is done. Nothing can undo what they did and the damaged they have caused. Other symbolism includes the title “Municipal Gum”, municipal meaning community, implies that the gumtree belongs to the community. One of the vast differences between European and Aboriginal law is that Aboriginal people did not believe in the ownership of land or of animals and plants. Municipal Gum is a reference to the Europeans assumptions that everything is theirs to own and control. The rhetorical question, “O fellow citizen, What have they done to us?” is the conclusion of the implications that have been made throughout the poem. Oodjeroo, is advocating for her people and all things wronged by the controlling behaviour of the Europeans. Rhetorical questions are used to provoke thought and to stimulate a pre-determined response. “What have they done to us?” They have “castrated, broken… strapped and buckled” and ultimately changed things to a point that they cannot be fixed. In conclusion, Municipal Gum is a poem about the constrictions and change that the European invaders forced upon the Aboriginal community and the environment she believes that the Europeans have deemed themselves ever powerful and practice their power in a manner that is immoral.

Africa, Oh Africa! Africa, Oh Africa! My Motherland, Why not take pride in who you are? When you converse, You use the language of the West. The offspring of the same parents, And still use the language of the West. Your own children try to distance themselves and dress and talk like Those from the West. Your airwaves are filled with music, Fast beats, foul language and heavy metal from the West. Even the food you eat All processed and purchased From the West. Your fields are dry. You laugh at traditional foods and ceremonies. You have forgotten who you are. Your heritage cries out From the depths of the tombs you're filling up with immorality and your self-destructive ways. You despise who are, You ridicule who you are, You try so hard to change Who you are Your heroes and comrades In entertainment and politics In the community, the society Have been overshadowed By those from the West. Remember them, Revere them, More so alive than after death. Resurrect Ubuntu, Show a little compassion For a fellow who needs it. Stop the hate, tribalism And racism. This path of destruction Will get you nowhere. Let peace rule in the Motherland. Respect your elders, Salute the teachers Who try to lead your youth In the right direction. Teach your children well Violence is not the way The pen is still mightier Than the sword Eradicate illiteracy End child labour and Marriages. Honour, love and protect Your women and children. They will give you respect and happiness in return. Follow the footprints Of your forebears. Live in harmony with Yourself. Africa, Oh Africa! Africa, Oh Africa! Take note Before it's too late!

-This is Nigeria, Where Cattle’s fly their terrorism flag, Stumping on humtydumpty green white green. -This is Nigeria Where corrupt QWERTY and busy ******   Puts food on the table of unemployed youths. -This is Nigeria Where clerics find paradise on earth Lo!  followers live as church rats withal. -This is Nigeria Where Eve plotted against a serpent   Hm! Mrs Philomena and her fairytale animal. -This is Nigeria Where Sundays are full of bibles and Qurans, Yet her body stinks in poo of immorality. -This is Nigeria Where the mace is a mess in her house As senators sleeps and vacate seats in a hearing. -This is Nigeria Where in Nigeria We are looking for Nigeria.

THIS IS NIGERIA!!!
Black Like me, I clearly see, I am no longer who I used to be I am a white man died dark, in this adventure I created a spark. People are angry. People are mad. This makes me disappointed, and sad I did this for research, to find the truth. For our future, for our youth. I’m a white man living the life of the oppressed, the segregated, and distressed. A white man living the life of the black, and the truth is equality it did lack It was shocking to find people cruel, who I once knew to be kind They hated me because the color of my skin, their argument against my race was just as thin. They made assumptions, followed the stereo type, dear God America, where are my equal rights? I traveled to the most racist state, where I experienced as a black man, a fiery hate. I found the idea that the South created: We are unequal, unloved, and passionately hated. They stared us down with hate we could feel. It was tangible, it was real. The kind hearted were few and far, I learned much while hitching rides in cars I could not believe what they share so openly, they spoke of their ****** immorality. At this point I was feeling defeated, I was sick of how we are treated I could not take it any longer, but I know I have become stronger. I will fight against segregation, so we can truly become an equal nation I hope for the sake of these great people that one day we will all be equal. No one knows what it’s like to be black like me. I hope one day we’ll find true liberty!

Like a male monkey you rises up And thumps hard your chest-it is you and you only! O Man! **I have an issue One that weighs heavily upon my heart One that, if left unchecked, threatens to tear our social moral fiber apart An issue I will express in English, with some help from my old friend *Swahili Hii imenisumbua akili, kwa hivyo kuiongelea ni kitu tunastahili Hii story ya immorality tunaichukulia so so light Dem akiji'expose kidogo mbele ya kamera haina mseo, tunampandisha cheo kwa society, all of a sudden ye ni socialite The new cool, eti ‘good girl gone bad’ Hiyo njaro siyo polite* We have a lot more to live for than that which we seem to be aware of It’s not always about a good time, or lack thereof Our reputation as a culture I believe is something we badly need to take care of *Siyo game Siyo Jokes Si eti mambo na fame* It shouldn’t just be about who drinks, who smokes, who vomits and who chokes *Hiyo lifestyle siyo dope Na siyo right* Six hundred and seventy something ways to die… choose one I refuse to go… speeding down a highway, drunk out of my mind, on another booz run However, I may not exactly be the right person to point out how messed up you are On a scale of one to ten? I’m probably as guilty as you are ******

My English Swahili Sheng' expressive...
Sing we for love and idleness, Naught else is worth the having. Though I have been in many a land, There is naught else in living. And I would rather have my sweet, Though rose-leaves die of grieving, Than do high deeds in Hungary To pass all men’s believing.

An Immorality
You speak of forbidden love And relish in its passion, Like a fat sow rolling in **** You cannot smell the stench, Of your joined betrayal, You couple with immorality. Go home to your true partner, Cast away your paramour, There can be no happy ending here, There is no love where there is no innocence, I know as I once danced late into the hot nights to this very same song. I could show you a skeleton path littered with the corpses of past lovers, Empty shells of who they once were, skin shredded by snakes, leaving the stench of our distaste behind, A litany of curious choices, A dirge of the fallen's passion, But you will not listen, For your ears are deafened by the drums of need, The screaming voice of your own conscience, And the death rattle of your lost integrity.

Forbidden Love
There is this white wall, above which the sky creates itself -- Infinite, green, utterly untouchable. Angels swim in it, and the stars, in indifference also. They are my medium. The sun dissolves on this wall, bleeding its lights. A grey wall now, clawed and ****** Is there no way out of the mind? Steps at my back spiral into a well. There are no trees or birds in this world, There is only sourness. This red wall winces continually: A red fist, opening and closing, Two grey, papery bags -- This is what i am made of, this, and a terror Of being wheeled off under crosses and rain of pieties. On a black wall, unidentifiable birds Swivel their heads and cry. There is no talk of immorality amoun these! Cold blanks approach us: They move in a hurry.

Apprehensions
Sinking like a carelessly cosmic ****** on the 4th of J-U-L-Y, while a distressed young mountain lion lies on your feet. Watch out for the cautious rubber shark inside the lines. It'd be something like Frank Zappa stuck on a deserted island with a dealer of his liking or disdain.  I believe in outlandish crazy industrialists in the distance between here and nowhere.  Lucifer has been infused with witchcraft and crack ******* Mindless ******* Thank your God.  Excellent nutrition is being presented as gluttony. Which in turn has caused your little sister to make daily offerings to a porcelain god.  Pleasure didn't invent rebellion but rebellion did however invent pleasure. Don't confuse the two.  A believer is magnetically drawn to immorality, much like man is to faith.  Inspiration simply radiates free energy and a smile should never be compared to a frown.  Dreaming can be mistaken for productivity. Dream big people, dream big.

The Worlds Coracle
Sail through the seas of passion, Exotic love actions are everlasting with a intimate touch. Its far from immorality or lust, for each other we trust, our senses leaves us breathless. When we kiss our lips create static creating flames, we both go insane about the crazy *** we've made. The time has come because of a wedding ring, looking beyond better things as we reach our final ******

The Honeymoon
The elegance of her ardor Captures you and lures you into her clean hands But living in this cynical world, with overflowing grimace Many souls lack to understand Why her stride is full and incandescent She posses a sweet force were every murmur she whispers pushes you to listen A voice fully soft spoken It's a gentle breeze through your ears In the absence others' may make you feel In her presence, you are here. The quantum she share is as petite as her frame Longing for more, she makes it impossible to maintain Straight forward. Her ratherness for avoiding the curves and steeps that one can provide Would leave you at a daze with desire A fire inferno Burning inside of your eyes Seconds and affection she hardly gives Made her a tenacious woman in twenty-one years But the love that she gives. Oh. The love that she gives Is more sweeter than honey in a tomb of one thousand years Seeing men fall into her deep dark abyss From their own creation and temptation they couldn't resist Attempting to crawl back into reality, after losing themselves You would think she's a Black Mamba A hunter Looking for a prey to lead astray But she's only a sweet soul that God humbly perfectly made A gift that many fail to contain That makes every Man yearn and kneel to pray There is No woman like her Her ineffable felicity you will not find Her Respect, you'll give Or you will not live Unintentionally, She posses the power to take over your mind With every thought you feel Her time isn't wasted on pleasures and life's immorality She's the meaning of a blessing She fails to degrade her self down to worlds level You'll fall in love with her originality Some would go far as calling her stuck up A ***** But a deficient mind wouldn't comprehend She's a woman of God Of wisdom And your respect she demands Perfectly sane To me she's a courageous lady Some men call her dangerous But Me, I call her Shady Copy Right 2013    ©Patty Ann

YEMEN: 4 Years, Where Have We Been
The internet and the electronic gadgets are now creating the new wave of infidelity, did you notice the anomalies in the way things are turning out. Hookups made easy, knowing me knowing you friendships, easy dating and cheating.com, wives and husband cheating on themselves, Social media is the only best place to live your fake dream full of lies like the deepfakes movies. No more true friendship, nothing real but a pretense paradise. Always uncomfortable but rather deal with another from a distance. You don't exist even when together in same room. Always closer to the stars than to you. You are ignored but chat with someone so far away. You seem to be happier talking to someone you never met and hardly know, telling all your private secrets to an unknown person claiming to be a true close friend while the one you grew up with now becomes a friendenemy, never to be trusted. Electronic friendship has killed our generation, destroyed the foundation of true relationship. Fake lifestyle, flaunting fake wealth, gossiping about fake not-so-sure news. Infidelity has become the new social norm accessible and accepted around the world. No true commitment, so much fraud and drama displayed. The young men and women are going berserk, their uncontrollable pesky ways leading them in all manner of immorality and all kinds of trouble. But there's still some sort of good in it. Is this a part of a new world order? Maybe, I don't know.   ©2018,Emeka Mokeme. All Rights Reserved.

Medical preys; unwanted grasses on female pasture; yet over determined to exist. Victims! to pleasurable sins Murdered! by we who bekoned them. To save faces and intergrity; To erase footprints and outcome of our sins. but you never cease to surface, at any ****** call; Never afraid of the death warrant nor the murderous act. Brave unborn souls, sacrificial lambs of human immorality, ''cleansing off our sins''. Yet answerable to any ****** call wishing it sinless by matrimony. Beauty of a marital love, essence of a matrimonial act.innocent of all innocents, One with God!, Wisdom of the ancient! The first measures of purity. To my ex-wife
Split mind. Split soul. Half of him loves his family. His intelligent daughter, energetic son, and beautiful wife. The other half loves nothing at all. Not himself, not his immorality, not even the toxins that he constantly ejects into his body. A modern day Jekyll and Hyde. To have a split personality is no easy taking. How does one love a single being with two men trapped inside. Knowing you will only be thought about with half the effort. Only known half of the time. Only loved with half the heart. Knowing this could drive a woman equally as crazy. While his careless half went out for another night of binge drinking and fornication, she was left at home. Well honestly, doing the same. One day it all became to much. In one of her drunken rants she grabs a pair off kitchen sheers. "Honey, where are you going?" she asked, not haven made up her mind on her next step. "Who the hell are you?" He replied. In a fit of drunken rage she charges after him. Determined that she could sheer away his lesser half. She screamed. He ran. She followed. Cornered, he had no where to flee. He snapped back. "Baby, what are you doing with the scissors?" , he asked frightened. He saw the look in her eyes. She was no longer there. The rage and fury had taken over her. "Babe, put the scissors down." He pleaded. She didn't understand what he was asking. Whether she couldn't comprehend that it was her husband back in control of his body, or if she just didn't care anymore, fed up with it all, no one knows. She lunged at him with the sheers in hand. When the officer arrived they saw the women curled in the corner smiling. "Did it work? Is he my husband again?" The mans body was mutilated. His skull was open. Half his brain was gone. His chest was open as well. Only half a heart. The women was taken away, convinced she did it all out of love. The children were placed in foster care. Both scarred for life from the events that they witnessed. And the man, well let's just say his partying days are over as well. Half hearted love kills.

Half Hearted Love
Split mind. I want to be a king, Not the king who wants to boast with the title attached to his name; Not the king to whom only exercise of power and authority is his aim; Not the king whose work is only meant to bring him fame; Not the king who will blame others but himself will he not blame. I want to be a king, The kind of king whose heart is broken when his people are in pain; The kind of king who considers the comfort of his people as great gain; The kind of king who will ensure that his people are never slain; The king who will encourage love among his people but hate he will restrain. I want to be a king, Whose interest is to search diligently to find something vital to do in a man’s life; A kind of king who will fight immorality and would not desire another man’s wife; A kind of king who will encourage peace among his people by authorizing that they put away strife; A king who could deprive himself of comfort if it means providing his people with a standard life. I want to be a king, The kind of king whose desire is not to be served but to serve; The king who will not withhold the wage of the poor but pay every man exactly what he deserves; The king who would rather die than see others starve; The king who will not divert or misuse the funds in his nation’s reserve. I want to be that king, Who will win the trust of his people only by being trustworthy; Who will place the interest and livelihood of his people firstly That king who will always represent his people by acting and speaking justly; The king who for the sake of the innocent, bring to judgement the guilty.

dragons and unicorns
I am a liar and a fake and a hypocrite. I’m tired of screaming sincerity, all the while begging for amnesty. I can wash my hands but I can never clean the granite. My body moans contentment, but my eyes are empty and I’ve had an epiphany, this loneliness shrieks humanity but I need something apart from me. I pray your name daily but I’m still desperately failing, so i’ll ask once more, will you break my heart and save me from my immorality?

Repetitive repentance; Relinquish resistance.
Speaking with words of a thousand accents Lost to a tragic void of human senselessness That devours morality of Heavens sent Lyrics turn to turmoil a prodigal life spent Never to return in complacency or content Injustice of the highest caliber we spend Teaching immorality trivial aspects of human anger vent Stumbled upon years of inconsitencies and torment

Intelligence, I think not...
I can tell by the scrunch in my sisters nose when she sees a gay couple that I will never come out It’s not a comment, it’s not even audible But I can see the distaste on her face I can tell by the way she clings to her bible on a Sunday morning that I will never share my true self She clutches it like a security blanket, trying to protect herself from the sin in the world Where I see love she sees a blanket of immorality wrapping them up and taking away the good I know how she feels when she sees sin in others But how would she feel if she knew the sin was inside of me

Coming Out
When I was young I learned how to dive into my emotions I learned how to wrap myself in my regret and fill myself with relics of isolation, I learned that my tears were to be compared to the bottom of the ocean for both the saltiness and the amount of them. I learned how to cheat my way into straight A's because suddenly I wasn't at the top of the class I was diving to the bottom, with the druggies and the criminals. I learned how to move my fingers along the fret board of another man's "love" and how to make him sing louder than a microphone would ever allow for I learned to dive into what most would consider immorality. I learned to inhale whatever I could, tobacco, *** and whatever lingered in the oxygen in between and I learned to dive through the labyrinth of smoke that it would produce. I learned to steal for what I needed because I didn't have the money to eat lunch or for new clothes I learned to dive into the world that I'd scoffed at a year ago the world of the beggars and the choosers the stealers and the 'losers' called out by self-proclaimed winners. I learned to trace raindrops on a window and recite my dreams in the form of broken hearts and song lyrics I learned to dive into myself.

"Dive" (One-Word Prompt)
The flesh lusts daily against the Spirit and the Spirit wars contrary to the flesh. The opposing tenets of grace and iniquity can never with each other… completely mesh. For the redeemed sinners operate by grace, while the practitioners of unrighteousness prefer the dark, ungodly ways of wickedness and will not inherit the Kingdom’s fullness. Fleshly works are clearly evident: adultery, fornication, idolatry, sorcery, uncleanness, contentions, jealousies, ****** immorality, hatred, envy, revelries and evil-mindedness. Fruits of the sinful flesh are plain to see and spirits cringe- at their being mentioned. Can we expect others to pursue God’s holiness, when people are upset- from being questioned? For we live under God’s grace and not His Law; His righteous wrath will be eventually revealed. Acceptance of His gift of Salvation can insure… that our lives will have been redeemed and sealed! . . .
