My same sound sits on silky sheets
On silky, silky, silky sheets
Reused first loyal letters meet
Reused first consonants.

My purpose put in perfect place
In perfect, perfect, perfect place
Planted within a pretty phrase
Planted within a word.

My words cement and connect close
And connect, connect, connect close,
Using my fun first feature most
Using my Alphabet.

My fun detail does deserve praise
Does deserve, deserve, deserve praise
Repeated in wonderful ways
Repeated in all that is me.

My same sound sits on silky sheets
Repeated in all that is me.
Rhyming Wave is a relatively new form of poem invented by Katharine L. Sparrow

rider bridled wave
carving through the curving crown -
ebullient sea smiled

I wish to be the gentle breeze
Sweeping tearful eyes
Of the weary midday flower.
Or to be the horrid shadow
Casting fearful darkness
For a passer-by to rest.
A rippling river of white
I wish to be the one
Drenching thirst of arid earth.
Or to be a dancing wave
Of the mighty sea
Playing with a child.
A guild of fleeting clouds
Hiding splendid sun
For a homeless soul
Or the canopy of green
Thwarting rain for a home
I wish to be the one.
I wish to be a cresset
Guiding glimpse of hope
In the prosaic paths of pangs
Or to be a firefly
In the dim toilsome journey
Of a soul to his divine home.

I went to the seaside in the early morning;
Rain cried heavily on the wet sand,
Leaving my footprints as an anchor with my real life.
I observed the murky mist covering the surface of the sea,
While the white gulls swarming upon the sea;
I stood rooted to the wet sand motionless,
Staring at the angry waves profoundly;
It seemed like my whole life was described in those waves,
Each wave had a deep notion to declare.
A wave of mistrust, betrayal, detest;
Infinite waves kept moving nearer to me,
And I kept trying to move forward dauntlessly
To overcome all the hurdles and worriments.

She walks a path with one eye open
She follows a path with one eye closed
Connecting the strings that float around
Like caterpillars
Dangling
From trees
Squirming on their silk
She crawls underneath them
Un-wanting to not disturb the dance
Until she smells the wildflowers.
The other eye closes
Still crawling the path
Luckily,
The bugs have warn it down enough
To follow with her hands and nose.
When she felt the wildflowers on her face
She opened that eye
Excitedly she pealed open the other.
When she heard nothing
She was amazed
In the distance she could see waves crashing through the wildflowers
Once again her world was absent of light.
This time she held her breath.
She laid in those wildflowers
For a long time.
So long her fingers and toes sprouted roots pulling her deep inside the soil,
Grounding her.
Inspired by Wild Flower, this is Fiona's re-imagined version, 1 of 2.

Stick my phone into the wall--
hoping no one trips on the cord.
No mobile phones in this dark age
and computers haven't come of age.
My TV has cable but the picture's curved.
Static makes it look so old
and my frozen dinner's gotten cold!
I shut it off and think: at least
I've got a huge stereo
with a dual tape deck.
Listening to New Wave
is much better than televised dreck.
Maybe someday they'll make it digital
but it won't be quite the same.
I'm as happy as a person can reasonably be
in the year 1983.
A kind of fond, snarky memory of times past...

My thoughts.

They come and go.

They just exist.

They want to be heard.

They want to be written down.

My thoughts are coming like a wave
They either go lost in the sea
Or they want to be shown, be heard, be seen like a cloud in the sky.
High up and far away from the drama.

But all of these thoughts I have are just so confusing.

Are my thoughts enough?

Does anybody care about my thoughts and the way I think?
These are just my thoughts...

I hate lots of the things you do
I'd hate the absence of them more
Over my room your items are scattered
Strewn with pieces of you I adore

Cannot imagine not seeing your ***** clothes
Tangle knots with mine
I've had to endure it before
Do not think I could a second time

There are endearing similarities
The many small messes you make
Being your partner is kinda like being with my twin
At moments grows hard to take

We need no one else but each other
Phrase we tell ourselves on repeat
Our expressions beg to differ
Barely force eyes to meet

It is like we speak different languages
We try to communicate
Make me feel special after arguing
Always ten minutes too late

Thrill of happiness I get
Being together and touching your skin
Want you to know my love is just as strong
As silken spiderwebs of lies you spin

You show how you really feel
When blowing me off with a wave
You'll regret what you're tossing aside
The day I'm beneath the ground in my grave
Maybe when I am gone for good you'll be sorry
