It's been a month and a half
Since my eyes laid on you last
At first you're nothing much
No hard abs or glowy tan
But you grow on my vision
The more I stare
I wonder how you would look
Standing not as far as over there

As if there is none,
be it by chance
or something other.

A wondering lights up interiors;
Such abundance of articles
more-overs out of use.

No stand is clearer than
a subject nearing sight.
I am.

How can so many continue to believe
How can so many be so trusting
Trusting in our failing government
Trusting in the daily lies spread
What is it gonna take ?
It's so obvious it really is
It gets so frustrating
When will we all be done
What is it gonna take
I mean seriously can it get any worse
It's plain to see no one's caring
about our freedoms our rights our needs
It's all just a competition
So many of us poor barely scraping by
So many treated like crap
Can't we all say enough
It's our government
It's up to us to say enough
and if we don't like now
I'm sure it's gonna end
It won't be pretty it will be distruction
Utter pain and devastation

We are women!
We stand together
That all of humanity
May stand up too.

We love
We care for
We cradle
We teach and raise
Generations upon Generations
Each man and each women

Yes we stand up for all of Humanity
May man stand with us too!
For yes, are women!
We want peace.
We want kindness.
We want respect.
We value and want to be valued.
We want all to be free to live.
We want all to be free to love
In Peace.
In Harmony.
In Joy.
through the ages women took care of the ancient knowledge for health wellness birthing rearing children and loving each other through challenges then the roles of women were diminished, relinquishing it to powers that were hungry for not only the control over women but men too.  The human family became lost. Now many are waking up and calling for both men and women to stand together  and reclaim human, dignity, freedom, and the strength of family and the strength of community.

You are lucky
To have what
You don't deserve
Too slow to act
In a flick of time
You lose what you had
It's sad
But it's life
We judge with no facts
Agreeing with unsigned
Packs
I wonder what in this
Society we lack
Living in a dilemma
Life never fails to criticize
We are brought up on lies
Sometimes i wonder why
They lecture us when
We eat fries
You don't have to light the
Whole room to be bright
The firefly has it's own light
But has never lit up
The darkest night
Out of sight
Out of mind
When i get lost in my head
I close my eyes
I'm told all my wrongs
Are documented in a file
I've been lowkey for a while
Will i ever put on a suit and a tie
Send me a confidant
I need to express my pain
And the number of times i cry
I never tire looking up
In the sky
Just mesmerized by how birds
Spread their wings and glide
With a tap on the ground
It's lifted ready to fly
Breath and stay calm
It will all be alright...
I tell myself just to relax
In attempts to make my stand
On this world.

If you stand still long enough

New Year Resolution for 2019
Miranda Dec 2018
And in the morning,
When you pack your bags
And quietly leave the room.
And when the smell of coffee reminds you
Of the weekend before.
When you told me you loved me
And we laughed about everything
Under the night sky.
There we were
Hoping this weekend would never end.

As you grab the last of your things
Walking around the apartment
Trying not to wake me.
As you see me curled up with the blankets
With a few stay strands of my hair
Covering my face.

You leave me be
As you don’t want to see
What your leaving does to me.

You decided
I'm not what you want
Anymore.

When you leave me asleep in the bed
Not even giving me a kiss goodbye
As everything you said before
Was a just lie.

As I hear the door close
Which meant you were gone.
I feel a tear in my eye.
Not because of you leaving,
But because I still hope.
But that even when you leave,
I pray that you don't forget about me.

And I still hope you’ll come back.
Even if it’s just for one night.
Just a rough draft idea! Any feedback would be appreciated!
