either i have butter fingers
or happiness is coated in butter
because i can’t seem
to hold on to it
sad “happy” sad “happy”

Two gods wrestle
Their worshippers watch the quarrel
Each side thinking their god is moral
Until assorted arrangements that are floral
Are all the vehemently victimized poor hold
As loved ones experience death's portal

These gods aren't guys
That fight in the sky
But through you and I
So humans are fried
In our divine divide

Nature's calling
Sends us falling
Into a loose leaf belief
Bereaved coral reef
See we sink core deep
So we see more sleep
Knowing our side is right
We're not killing real people
If they want to have might
They should come to our steeple

Center attention.
There's where you stand.
Look no further or less.
Break and you'll find X.

Understand we have to cover where you stand
Otherwise you'll be dragged into foreign land.
There you see just one belief.
Or else you'll be seen as the enemy.

I guess our house divided helped me see,
No one is correct.
Not even me.
Avengers together, but we all fall alone.
Family drama is just another living issue

I was less myself,
wasn't more than myself,
beside myself,
soul looking at me,
like where'd I go wrong,
when did my heart ever turn to stone,
feelings like these to a tone,
when will the other side of me see
that life has grown,
when will the other side of me will see that
life's a fake,
depression was taking a break,
came back,
took what it could take,
love was at its high stakes,
Had more to appreciate,
after all that i've been through,
I'm so glad my heart didn't break.

Two sides
One Dark
One Light
Where there is one
Another resides
Perhaps not seen
But there
You know it
Because one cannot be without the other
Like you and me

White dressed girl, spinning in the room
Full of innocence, pure and true.
In the distance there’s someone else.
Dressed in black yet standing still,
Full of guilt, naughty and false.
What separates them is the gray line,
Thick yet so thin.
There on the white side,
She spins and sings with a smile.
While on the dark side,
She is standing still.
What the pure girl doesn’t know
The dark girl does know.
The pure girl was never pure,
But instead was evil galore,
Just like that depressing girl.

The side of myself that loves you,
Isn't strong enough
To admit it.
The side of myself that hates you,
Is scared of what's to come.

This is where it all began,
                     This will never go away.
The imprint sticks through,
                      for those who still care.
The reflection of the wrong sides,
                     which reminds the reason.
it was what it was ticking,
                     the weather of this season.

Not all thoughts are articulated
by endless deception.
But, through these ideations
of sincerity, comes a depression.
A wizened mind gives way to
a lack of rapport with the one who hears,
the listener.
A perfect mirror, the speaker is always near,
asking,

“What side are you on?
What side are you on?”

Vexed by confusion,
the poor culprit of deception
is nothing but a bellicose invention.
What can it do but release dreary,
thoughts and ideas? The fear of seeing clearly.
The one who listens, must witness obsession
if they want to conquer their impaired
personality that lacks confession,
as it tries to ask,

“Whose side are you on?
Whose side are you on?”
saying "it" in the third to last line was intentional *****

two sides
black and white
day and night

there's always the hidden third
but we rarely talk about him

he's quiet
soft
there to give us the truth
but what references does he have

what proof does he have

but what proof do we even have

we are always forced to follow one or the other
but when do we ever consider the third side

who is not the truth
but the realization that a lot of things are wrong
and we only point them out to each other when
it is relevant to the failure of others
