I guess I never noticed
The loneliness in her eyes
A burning blue fire
That burned her insides
Is there anything to save her?
Maybe,
But it's up to her to decide.
Does she want to live,
Or does she want to die?

Not suicidal. I promise. I just notice some things about other people. This poem is not about me.

The Crossroads

She stands at a cross roads, looking from left to right, trying to decide which path to take

She turns to the left, where she sees a dark and dismal sky, where the path breaks up into tiny shards of gravel

She then turns to the right, where she sees a pleasant blue sky marked with wispy white clouds, where the path transforms into even blocks of cobblestone

Could she, struck with life's hardships, caught in life's desolation, choose the path which will lead her home?

Her eyes drift to and fro, summing up both paths, attempting to decide on just one

Should she choose a path of dark or light, tragedy or happiness, cloudiness or sunshine?

Her mind confused, she kneels on the ground, folds her arms, and sends a message from her heart to the One who will guide her home.

At First Decide Upon Something Definite

Decide about the present in the present moment of time
Decide all that is present in the present moment of time.

Experience proves to be an asset when expectations are raised
Now is the moment in time when something substantial needs to be achieved within a stipulated period of time.
Substantial efforts need to be made when expectations from prior need to be surpassed
Hence priority comes first, better to do one thing at a time.

Decide doing one thing at a time
Be firm in your mind about the same, then proceed towards doing the same.

All the time there is some sort of a thing that always goes on in the mind
Ascertaining the future in the present
Think of the past in the present
The mind does everything, everything related to past, present and also with regards to the future.

It’s important to decide upon something definite before taking the first step towards doing the same.
Better decide first and be sure about the same
No point in deciding later with regards to what you want to do, since time has always remained important.
When you decide upon doing something in advance, it’s planning.
When you decide upon doing something at the spur of moment, then it’s because of an experience that you have on your side.
In any case it’s always better to decide first and then proceed towards doing what has been decided.

Crucial moments are part of everyone’s life,
if not a part of everyday life,
however, in the end these crucial moments enrich the experience of an individual.

So it’s always better to be a part of the game,
always participate,
learn from your own mistakes rather than doing the same routine thing daily,
the same mundane thing over and over again.

Better decide first,
be firm on the same and then proceed towards doing the same.
Definitely a moment in time will come when you will know exactly what needs to be done in order to achieve your aim.

A Refreshing Change

Let the leaf that is dry and old enough fall off on it's own
Leave it as it is in it's place
Over a period of time it will fall off on it's own.

Let the leaf fall and touch the ground where it will meet thick, lush green grass that covers the entire ground.

The season has changed,
so let the leaf move ahead along with the wind to reach a new destination
Not much is known about this new destination,
perhaps the only thing is it's new when compared to it's old destination.

Let the lead that has turned dry,
brown and old,
let it fall off on it's own.
Leave it as it is in it's place for the time being,
since a time will come when it will fall off on it's own.

Always it's better to leave the past far behind
Since if something belongs to the past,
it's always better to let it remain in the past to where it belongs and then move ahead along with the present moment in time.

Move ahead in life with the present in mind
Think of present at the present moment in time
Think of something new,
something different when in present.

Even if the need of hour is to make a small beginning,
even then there should be no reluctance of mind in doing the same.

Definitely the present will change for better when the past is left behind
A departure from the past will add a new meaning, life and substance to the present moment in time.
A change also takes place in the present when the present has got something new to add,
something new to offer,
something different to ascertain,
something better to be done with regards to the future.

In all the aspects of life
In the different walks and ways of life
In the highs and lows of life
In the ups and downs of life
As and when a change takes place in life
In fact, whenever a change takes place in life
Let the change bring in something new to life.
Something,
some sort of a thing,
something unexpected to life.
Still further even with all these alterations taking place the changes must be refereshing enough to add new zest and zeal to life.

Always be prepared for the uncertainty that belongs to future
Accept the changes that take place in present to decide what is in store with regards to the future
Not every change that takes place in the present is a welcome change
Definitely only when a positive attitude is maintained,
only then it can be a refreshing change.

Smile, it's important

Decide once and for all, all that’s going on in mind
Decide and then proceed
It's important
Also important is the fact that you make sure nothing else is going on at the back of mind
Once decided, time to move ahead with what to do next.

As simple as it seems what seems to be simple is not that simple
Life has never remained simple
Ups and downs
Highs and lows
Success and failure,
life consists of everything and all.

As simple as it seems what seems to be so simple is not that simple
Life has never remained simple
Remembering and recalling the past
Reconciling the present moment with past
Continuing with the present moment of time
Ascertaining the future,
life consists of everything and all.

Whatever goes on in mind at the present moment in time,
one thing has always remained for sure,
life remains unpredictable.

Uncertain and unpredictable are ways of life
Vagueness and ambiguity remains a part of life
In all the ways of life, remember one thing for sure
One thing that must remain the same, must not change
As and when, whenever you get a chance,
seize the right moment in time,
the best available opportunity in time and make use of it,
remember then, don’t forget to smile.

Live life to the best of your abilities
Live life to the fullest, until the last moment in time is over
Never leave the opportunity to smile in life
Life continues with the ups and downs, highs and lows
Never does it mean life is all about odds
The only thing it meant was to look at life with a positive approach.

Never give up
Smile
As and when you get a chance smile
It’s important since when you smile, life will smile back at you
The odds will remain, but the ways of dealing with them will become simpler.

Be positive in life,
A time will then come when something will fall in place and the rest will follow soon.

Have patience,
Be confident, have faith in yourself,
definitely, a moment in time will come when you will have a way of your own.
Thereafter you will realize that victory is not far away, it’s on the way.
A time will come when you will reap the benefits of all the efforts that you have made.
Until that moment in time life continues on its own,
so don't forget to smile as and when you get the right moment in time.

Retrorespective Perspective

Better to take a pause,
think again and then decide upon next
No point in doing something in haste
No point in doing the same thing again
Time to think again, think more,
think along the same.

Think, decide and tell what needs to be done next
Time to ascertain
Time to think in present about the present moment in time.

Time to think again
Think possibly about all that’s going on in mind
Time to look upon retrospectively in the present moment of time.

It’s time to decide
Time has always remained precious
Time is spent, utilized, and consumed
It’s all about time and more about time management.

Initially it takes time to understand and realize why so much of time is being spend in getting simple things done
Later it’s realized, it’s always better to get something done only once rather than repeating it twice or even thrice.

Over a period of time it’s realized that mistakes and experience are two different things, different from each other as chalk is from cheese.

As experience is gained from the mistakes that are made, then the same experience is utilized to avoid similar mistakes again in the future.

Definitely mistakes and experience are poles apart from each other.

Over a period of time it’s learnt and recognized,
it’s always better to test your skills, abilities and strength on your own
No point in waiting for that one final moment in time when each and everything and all will be put to test

It’s always better to represent yourself on your own
Be confident about yourself
Think of your own
Better to make the best use of the present moment in time in the present only
Better to think in the present about the present moment of time only.

It’s time to think and decide all that is going on in mind
Time to think retrospectively as to all that's possible in the present moment of time.

cold bitter sidewalk wind
duck into chinese place
find a place along the window
hot tea, wonton, fortune please
watching quick and furtive striders
sun rays make it through glass haze
warmth returns to my numb fingers
which pry apart the brittle cookie
the paper inside says “decide”

Paper-Plane

We know that life is 4 dimensional
there are the three common dimensions
and time

what happens, however,
when life feels more like
the square root of + (-E^4)
(E = existence)
in deed

what happens when you feel
(or fail to feel as I would have it)
as if two crucial dimensions
had vanished

what happens when you take away
time and depth

(+note: in the above figure, "E" is "-"
because, two see a two dimensional image
we must often view first the "negative")

I'm breaking new ground
this unknown is being discovered
by my own hand
perhaps as i win whatever
great award of science
for my endeavors
my apathy will be mistaken
for humility

when life has become two dimensional
it's not that you don't see dangers coming
but when they approach, you simply apply
false and forced perspectives
(you have that power)
the saw tooth from the pop-up
book of reality
looks more like a triangle
drawn upon the flattened page

whats more is that it's approach
is either instantaneous or
infinitely slowed as glass
(unbeknownst to many, a time defying liquid)

once we take away time, there is neither
enough duration to think or
little enough to care

upon the removal of depth
everything becomes continuous
a paper, a plane, a plain plain of plainness

without the solitary reference point with which
to mark the other removed

and likewise, without time, depth is stretched
into insignificance

thus, i have renamed the first two dimensions
formerly known as length and width--
for without the latter--
the former are beyond death,
they are simply not living

dimension one: will
dimension two: consciousness

we might see that dimensions
three and four
also have alternate identities
but they are more obvious and
needn't any recitation
emotion and experience
take these away
and nothing has definition
none whatsoever
all points are simply confined
to their own existence

therefore

everything becomes

imaginary

if life = -E^4
and the graph of life two dimensional is
the square root of "-E^4"
then 2DL= iE^2
imaginarey existence squared
