"comp" poems
*“If people bring so much courage
to this world the world has to ****
them to break them, so of course
it kills them. The world breaks every
one and afterward many are*
strong at the broken places."
A Farewell to Arms,
Ernest Hemingway
<>
struggling with so much,
then this scripture of writing sent
by some unfamiliar, a providential
provider; and I am realized, this man
is broken in ways you have no idea,
can~not comp~re~hend
understanding floods, healing
required, for I too have been killed,
my trust and beliefs, trashed,
too many fools who think that
moral equivalence is a thing,
that the unspeakable is justified,
hatred makes me so broke so low,
how,
justification is not justice,
nor an excuse to do whatever
cross the street, and believe,
that drivers will honor a red,
a stop sign, but plenty think
this don’t apply to me, not me
getting on the back of a line
is for fools, people who cannot answer
the arrogant question of the insistent
“Do You Know Who I am?”
I know who I am, yet the ponderance
of evidence says that is not enough,
I
am insufficient,
I am less
than human,
I am
undeserving,
because of my
ancestry
And I will spare you the precise definitions of these statements,
for it should be unnecessary, you should be nodding in agreement, clear eyed understanding, intuitive, in your own broken bones felt!
But,
my bones are broken, and the healing needs a source, a “see here”
directive, explain me how my insane madness is not a proper
responsa to the
weight of hate
my eyes see, seen,
and that my own
eyes
are not lying,
but believed.
but intuitively understood
that my broken bones can be
healed, each in their own way,
so I will retire, perhaps return
when, even if not fully recovered,
sufficient to care enough,
ready to be rebroken, again,
for this! this! is my
true poetic ancestry
thousands of years have not broken us,
and never will, for it is not fear that will
prevent our resurrection, for we immunized,
for what unimaginable have we not known, and yet recovered,
this,
I believe,
my healing will be quiet, solitary, removed
from the distractive noises of invective infecting,
but I will be present,
for my children, and my children’s children will
look to this ancestor and learn that his blood
and bones deeds them the self-healing properties
that always has and always will defeat those
who seek to destroy your future
1) the DNA of your ancestry
inherited inherent in your bone marrow
and bone tissue is continuously remodeled
through the concerted actions of bone marrow cells
2) Stem cells in your red bone marrow
(hematopoietic stem cells) create red and
white blood cells and platelets, all of which
are components of your whole blood.
so here is our truth:
when,
***The world breaks every
one and afterward many are
strong at the broken places!***
our whole blood will replenish us

The Stars will collide and the ashes will cover our grounds

let loose my soul so it might be free•but
save my remains before the wind comes to

The moon reflects my face
in the rear view mirror
as I drive forward,
passing strangers
late at night
Trees like weeds
they flutter, lean
street lights: stars
the radio keeps me comp'ny
as I slowly lose your voice
Submerging
in thinking;
drowning,
stars losing their twinkling
it's so dark down here
in my sea of dreams
Swimming underneath whales
with concrete bellies,
and lined, gray backs,
covered in minnows
as small as I.
It makes little sense
why I swim away from you
the stars no longer shine
down where I follow the line
of skinny, yellow fish.
Faster, faster
I dart to the grotto
of coral, reef, sand
It's my home for now
though it's fathoms away
from you.

Log in and lose all sense of what and who you truly are.
I see the ******** numbers and even more egotistical statements from people I would consider more typist than writers.
A child with the understanding how to play the game and cheat the system .
I see your trending yet again because your fake ID reposted your newest crap fest while others seem to avoid your work like ***** on the floor of a frat house party.
Ego you have my friend.
Talent for bullshitting well in check.
But as for the page your a child who stares at the ocean scared shitless from the shore .
It must be fantastic being the greatest swimmer never to set foot in the pool.
This write is dedicated to a certain poet who if I mentioned .
Well his ego would just tell him hey at least someone's paying attention.
Your trending yet again and at the end of the day .
When you step away from the comp your just a ******* with a overinflated ego and some fake *** numbers .
And if are paths ever cross you may ask.
Hey aren't you?
And my only reply will be .
Yes I will take fries with that.

wake.
to the car to work
traffic
lining up every day
wake.
to the comp to work
emails
incoming every day
wake.
again and again
wake.
will this ever end?
wake
I am just so tired
when will it end?

losing thoughts to the margins in
some great depression of creative
outlet. taking inked works from a
revered Shakespeare born of the
Moorish states, filling out cata-
combs of this one's entombed
thoughts. and pondering Paris
of some earlier century, how
those writers flocked together.
how this one loathes his current
centuries other writers.
and these, are we, birds of a feather?
flocking, so to be better caught
by twelve-gauge scatter shot?
perhaps we are of a generation
lost, with blinders grown thru years.
expats stranded in a sea of comp-
lacancy in isolation with warring
souls raising higher parapets for
safety? this one's soul may have
raised too high fortifications,
forcing attrition upon the inhab-
itants. this one's soul may have
slaughtered the others for fear
of a low-cat staring up to
the eyes of its King. and
lone heart-beat echoing off
solid stone walls built of mortar
mixed with sweat and tears from
desecrated - of the desolated - and
now forsaken culture only a
quarter-century out. this one's
dogma consisting of self-martying
psychopomps pre-proclaiming ..
'I went out myself into
an immortal body, and
now I am not what I was
before. Now born in mind.'
this one's canonized martyrs only
seeking migration and division.
seeking the Kepigori for hopes of
retrieving knowledge lost - placed
without qualm of forgetting - the
ancestors bore unto still setting
mounds of clay mixed blood. and
when finally set, when finally full-
formed, when finally upright and
springing forth the common know-
ledge which was taught once in
truth. and, now breaking in thought
while this one's hours rot, while this
one leaves an abrupt end.

Life gets boring
So there are adventures.
We’ve fought dragons with daggers,
and have cast spells of doom.
We’ve walked the darken halls of mansions
and faced the monsters of gloom.
Resurrected the dinosaurs
where life found a way.
And witnessed characters dying once
but coming back to slay.
There have been tears turned to amber.
And nine tails on a fox.
Time travel from the beginning
To end in a paradox.
Fell in love at first sight
Killed ourselves at last
The stories we’ve heard of
They become our past.
But I tell you this moment
I’m glad there’s no dragon
That travel doesn’t consist
Of riding in a wagon.
That the darkest hall I walk
Is the one leading to my room.
It’s nice to know there’s a comp
If I wanted to face DOOM.
There are no gigantic beasts
Eating all my friends
And while those foxes are pretty
Anime is where it ends.
We travel through time
Since it goes on by day.
And if you suicide for love
It wasn’t love anyway.
This world drones on
But I’m content with this
Leaving those times in books
For when I’m adventurous.

Slept back, idle, without any care,
never, I comp my hair, which is rare
Yawning, stretching, laying about,
pillows, night cloths, out no doubt.
As lazy holiday just going away by,
no endeavor to make good, a try
Shouted at house maid for food,
But the ****** dish is no good
Should possibly move a little bit,
but my structure frozen where I sit.
Tomorrow at work, no new friend;
For now I relax with an empty mind !

Yesterday I stole a ball
The carpet of my hall
My teacher marked me late
I read the book "Good Bait"
Johnny said I was mean
Pop, lock, drop, and lean
My notebook is red
My math teacher said
Peanut butter on a spoon
Movie in Comp about a loon
Gum that I will not share
Long hair that does care
My ring size is too big
Will I ever pass Trig?
One horn, multiple dents
Carnivals and circus tents
How do all these things relate?
I don't know but please don't hate
My mother said Halloween was over
I told her no.

I can't tell you how many times I have done this before
Sliced tomatoes with a dull santoku
My ankle bells jingle
My hips swivel
And the tip of my pinkie
Is gone
"Will this erase my fingerprint?"
I ask
"No. Only acid can do that."
Like from tomato juice
Like from chlorine in a pool
I am swimming in my own blood
Practicing flip turns
Watching it clot
And drying off
I turn a blue towel purple
It was just a tomato
It's not as bad as it looks
And it tastes even better
When I make panzanella

dance and dance away
enhance that beat

a pitch of high
dance dance that way
round the fire
a walking pulse
preparin' the flight
dance a rising sway
drums' echo rumble
****** and rattle

dance and dance away
close the night
enclose the dark
foster that tempo
dance your dancin' way
call on that rhythm
across a note of blue
comp in colour the chords
dance dance
maybe he'll stay
willing to dance

There was this annoying noise in my head,
It was the alarm, made me get off the bed,
A sight at the clock threatened me,
Being late that I didn’t want to be,
A sigh of relief as took my seat,
A race against time, now that I had beat,
A cup of latte, now that I need,
And power to my comp that I must feed.
Clanking and rattling that’s all I could hear,
It was my comp and I feared to go near,
I called for help and hoped it would be frisk,
To my horror all he found was ants in the hard disk.
I have a clean slate, because ants ate the hard ware,
Lost five years of hard work.
Ants in my hard disk, no data there,
Ants in my hard disk my computer is bare.

The more I do the less things ****
I do great and go unnoticed
Make one tiny mistake everyone knows
I pour my heart and soul in what I do
If its not enough eventually ill get fed up
Take myself where I can be appreciated
If its not with her or my friends
I always wonder where I can go and be
A place to call my own
A place that feels like home
I like to have fun blow off steam
Tired of feeling kept out
busting my *** to be in the same spot
It feels like I have nothing but working hard
Break through so my greatness will shine
Tired of being overlooked for something less
Underrated meant to be the best stuck with less

The following are three random poems I made up today
My Shirt
Red, black and grey
are the colors of my shirt today
It matches my shoes vans
A pair of blue jeans
in between
to represent my blues
Comp Book
I started with 100 sheets
now there are 78
free from the mesh of madness
hidden beneath the grates
Hats
I don't like to wear hats
well, I do like beanies
but this nonsense over fitted caps
is just an excuse for people to be meanies

I am a football fan
But only one game is grand
And that is the game that
The brumbies play
Yeah I am a mighty union fan
You see gregan had the power
To score in half an hour
He will provide a good score
He is a union man
You can never get me away from the union
You can never get me away from the union
You cab never get me away from the union
Till the day I die union will never die
Owen finegan and Andrew walker they fight and attack
The opposing players
They are union men
They will provide some punches and they will knock them down
They will knock them down
All over the ground
They are union men
You can never get me away from the union
You can never get me away from the union
You can never get me away
From the union
Till the day I die
The union will never die
You could cheer for the raiders at 1 but they never win a game
And sides like the Canberra cavalry from the
Base ball comp
Then I cheer for the swans
But at present are at the bottom
And at the moment it is mighty hard to like anything but being a union man
I know the brumbies are losing
But they are the best in Australia
We get 3 points for a penalty goal
And 5 for a try and 2 for conversion
I am a union man
You can't stop me from playing union
You can't stop me from playing union
You can't stop me from playing union
Till the day I die
Union play will never die
They just have fun

Make No Promises; Take No Vows
Mean what you say
Say what you mean
Leave room
for the failing
for forgiving
The comp for compassion
goes a long way
or so they say--
'cross the heavens even
burning dross all the way
We are not what we were
nor what we seem
Leave room for the failing
for what we will be
Post-Paradisal
bush-whack of living
For what lies between
Let your yes be yes
and your no---no, and
Know
anything beyond that....
falls short...
or for sure will be
of the failing

Eh?
(sonnet #MMMMMMMDCCLXVI)
So laugh at me, cuz now I've chance to thence
Immerse myself in poetry's detail
Oer coffee break, I've plumb forgot t'avail
Me thus. Three books, yes, printed pages dense
With antique lines, wait to be read is't, hence?
But I perused them on the night I'd hail
The chance to purchase cast-off books, and pale
As aught complaint th'auld poets stunk, where's sense?
Change is the order of the hour. We were
Supposed to drink joe in good comp'ny, to
Talk to a living soul, not dead. Bestir
Me to read lines and catch their spirit through
That seance was't? I'm all mixt up in poor
'Scuse cuz the coffee's mine, all mine anew.

'laugh with me'
i laughed along
i forgot my misery.

Life is a Cafeteria
Life is like a cafeteria because
you have to stand in line
when you’re hungry
Anatomy of Arrogance
A shivering ball of fear,
wrapped in a crust of pride
too thick for sharpest arrows,
huddles alone but well protected
hoping beyond all dread
that none will ever come to know
the terror behind the mask.
Modern Narcissis
Narcissus leaned forward
to better view his matchless beauty
and tumbled to watery doom.
Beloved America,
how far can we lean in self adoration
before our coasts tilt into the seas?
Combo
Come join our combo,
but just so you know,
we all comp for each other,
take a chorus now and then
and try to keep up with the changes.

Paper latterns light the gardens path.
To a splendid night and a summer bath.
Rose peddles trampled under her feet.
As her form fill's the darkness.
hiding in the shadows trying to catch a peek.
Of the beauthy who gives life with her
kiss.
Magic seems real on a night like this.
On a night like this the world stands still.
when feelings are spent.
And emotions serve there own will.
She tempts the angels and makes the old young.
Climbing the invisable ladder.
Rung by rung.
Green tea she sips while drifting down
a lonley night.
A painters brush draws a tear at her sight.
Golden hair cold blue eyes.
She breaks hearts with sugar coated lies.
Jasmine fills the air.
With love and memories to share.
nothing about her seems real.
She acts unfazed with mass appeal.
Often is her coldness mixed with rejection.
She surrounds herself with walls for
constant protection.
Living in a world of her own making.
Giving visions of passion for the dreamers taking.
No matter her ways still someone she does miss.
As the wind travles through the trees.
She reflects on a night like this.
She fills the emptyness with a secret innovation.
On a broken dream and a promised vacation.
Standing in the shadows soaking up her eternal bliss.
Romance and passion.
Come togather on a night like this.
this is a very old write of mine i found in one of many old comp books
just thought it sounded decent i belive i wrote this about five years ago when i was to scared to show a friend let alone strangers my work.
anyways alot has changed since
