Our love is like the puzzle pieces
We bought when we were dating,
The ones that came without
The guiding box-top picture.

Day after day you hand
Me pieces of emerald green
Or royal blue.  Some days they're
Orange with a streak of white.

For years now I've been
Lining up the edges,
Linking one piece into another,
But the image remains fragmented.

Now here I am at the end
Of my life, pushing the
Final piece into place.
With tears filling my eyes,

I behold a photograph of you and I
Sitting on our front porch.
Our old, wrinkled hands clasped
As we watch the sprinkler

Move back and forth,
Laughing as our grandchildren
Leap through the streams
That shimmer in the sunset.
Inspired by, and dedicated to my wife.

she praced around on graceless feet
wearing a crown made from
the shards of broken dreams
her eyes were vacant or
at least they seemed for there were
glittering tears falling down in streams

It takes patience to be kind,
For the world is cruel my dear,
And you've got to take your time,
Chances come, go, they're forever;

But when things boil over,
I hope you'll know that it's alright,
The end is not that far, not close either,
You just have to go on and fight;

Sure people will break your heart,
Stay strong for yourself don't fall apart,
For you're made to survive this life and the next,
You're a warrior, a goddess, your mother's daughter;

Don't let the others talk you down,
Make you doubt yourself and your crown,
For this life is yours to rule and own,
A cavalry at your disposal to claim the throne.

Upon deceit I've built a kingdom;
A mighty fortress declaring freedom.
She stands up tall; brave as can be
And gazes outward toward the sea.
But when one’s castle’s built on sand,
There is a chance it may not stand.
For secrets hide behind her doors
And crawl through cracks beneath her floors.
Until the light sheds on the lies,
The castle wears her sweet disguise
And secrets linger without a sound
Until the kingdom tumbles down.

She did it in the precious name of the king
who couldn't even bend past his bloated belly
she respectfully kissed his diamond ruby ring
and not because he could fly her to Paris or Deli
she urgently did it to **** the biting itch upon his back
using her ***** nails, with servants' muck at the back of her palm
for she saw the struggling king stiff stuck
believe it when she says she actually meant no harm
oblivious of the consequence of slave hands on royal skin
acting in the name of kindness to a caring crown
if only she'd known she was kicking a dragon's sheen
never could she at any moment wear this beautiful frown
for her next of keen mourn her feeble neck despondent in the noose
of a ravenous and thick expensive rope awaiting his use

The tryant rises over the city
The crowd's minds in wiped obedience
The free-people's prince flees swiftly
His savior anonymously leads him in silence

The elder, masked and cloaked, leads,
Thorns following around him,
the child Prince through the weeds
To hiding on the cliff's rim

Twelve years in the mountain
A youthful wolf looks over the river
Thinking he surely would've been slain
Had the king of thorns been any less swifter
I'm making a poem series, so if you enjoyed this, make sure you read the rest of the story!

Mom you've cared since i was seeded
When I flourish you'll be treated
With love, respect, and all good things
Because to me you are a queen
When things get rough just know this much
One day you'll be royal flushed

As you speak careful words they fan out
From your lips to soak adoring souls -
You paint their cages with a message of escape
And you reach between bars to warm the
Cold cheeks of the lowly.

As you search for the people behind
Translucent skin you spare a kiss -
Guiding them out, granting them
The freedom you pen in never-ending
Spirals on unsheathed arms.

It wasn't you who promised your crown.

We all grew to take more than we deserved.

Could you not feel pain barring on ones soul, could you indecisively open a grain of sanity with the courage to Lead life to freedom through a journey that could nourish the senses of reality given to a marvelous occupation.. this is what that is... that in which would deliver the relentless tyrant in ones self a mad man among eyes,
i am among whom who.... could not bare to see you stop.

Sand and stones between my bones.
Today the sun never shone.
Look how beautiful I am.

Chop, chop, chopped wood in the fireplace.
Don't get too close if you want to keep your face.
Be careful not to burn yourself.

It gives a certain warmth
And brings a certain want.
I would, yet I can't enjoy it by myself.

Royal blue like the winter hue.
My skin is merely bruised.
Can you still see how many times I've been hurt?

That winter depression.
Makes me want you as my new obsession.
Come in even if it's colder than outside.

Melt, melt me, I'm a letdown.
Having a meltdown.
I am melting under your fiery touch.

Snow flakes the skin.
I am in for a win.
What a special snowflake I am, wouldn't you say?

My heart is surrounded by splinters,
It shouldn't, yet it get's me through the winter.
Between my arms it's chiller, why don't you come hither?

Take a bite of me with your ice chipped teeth.
Swallow me up like a leech.
Red blood gauges from my blue veins.

Guess I'm not that royal anyway.
Hide it before you can complain.

Too late.
You already know the taste.
