They said
Demand an explanation for barns in the second person
I said
Let me show you where the hay is.

The big red barn
the color of my heart
when i look at you,
Baby.

I am just a country boy,
a Frenso FarmBoy- I am but a humble peasant
to yuor Highness.

But I love you, regardles of everything.
When I was younger I dreamt of
a cornfield to call my own.
Now, I only dreem
of your eyes.
a simple peom from my heart :) please leeve feedback and comments below! let me know if you like these autobigraphical peoms! XOXXO Crandall

Smiles paint our faces
As downhill we go
A golden crown resides
Atop our heads.

We are rulers of the realm.
Our happiness controls life
We dance across the meadow
Vibrant green grass stands tall

White petals with yellow cores
Live in patches, like cities in our kingdom.
I'm tackled to the floor,
We are gods to the bugs of the ground.

Rolling down the hill, faster and faster.
So happy. Happy.
Smiling cannot convey my true feeling.
My love defies a satisfied expression.

I take your hand in mine
You draw me near, not near enough.
My face seems to have forgotten a frown.
It knows not how to make that shape.

Laughs escape through our lips
And we start again.
Running together, together forevermore.
Dancing gracefully into the hands of the future.

On top of the world
Watch me as the sun shines
Rays surrounding my silhouette
Watch me as the sun shines
Fire coursing through my veins

Fire
Wisps of smoke trail from my skin
Memories long forgotten emerge
As I slip, sliding off my throne

The crown fell first.
Afterwards the scepter was taken
From my hands by the unfriendly wind

Don't watch me as I fall
My robe trailing behind me
I look like the condemned angel
Only I'm without wings

As I plummet faster and faster
I catch light
I know someone will be wishing on me
Don't watch me as I fall
Don't ask. This poem is open to interpretation, including to myself.

I know objects
Can't truly make people happy
But Darling,
I want to give you the world.
Hold your hand and say
"Baby, you can have whatever you'd like"
Whether it be your favorite lipstick,
Or the moon,
I will
Find my way to the nearest Sephora,
Buy you red velvet from Lime Crime,
And then build a rocket ship
So I can bring you back her cratered Majesty
And maybe,
Pick up a tiara on the way so that you Can be my Majesty, too.
See I know that you don't have to
Own the Moon,
Or wear a crown to be Royalty
So I
Will treat you like a Queen every day,
And will
Never let you forget the role you play in my mind
And My pulse
Every beat getting stronger as you step closer
Baby,
won't you let me give you the universe
A galaxy of beauty lying in your eyes alone
Teeth like stars lighting up the night sky as you begin to laugh.
I
Yearn to make you laugh
Quoting
Cheesy vines
And making
Cheesy puns.
I'm starting to feel like in stuck in the middle of Wisconsin,
But even the middle of nowhere sounds like a nice place to be as long as I'm with you.
As long as its just us two,
And the moon.
Yes I know you can't buy lime crime at Sephora, no I don't care that that one line is inaccurate.

Born of your flesh and blood
You seek the mate that makes you whole
When all along you stand strong ALONE
Many men have become your King but they never last
Many times you have hurt because they use you as there tool
Many time we have told you to be strong
That you did not need another to become QUEEN for you are already ONE.
BLOOD of my BLOOD. FLESH of my FLESH.
YOU stand ALONE but never ALONE.

MELANIN BEAUTY

She was adorable in her coffee tinted skin
Her beauty as rare as the clustering of dragonflies
Amazing to look upon like the gathering of butterflies
Through her eyes stars felt closer than ever
Her lips was as beautiful as the opening of petals

My heart paused when our eyes came in contact
I felt like i have seen the queen of all that is beautiful
The envy of every woman there is to be
She was thin tall and adorned in elegance
Endowed with charisma of an Ethiopian princess

Her smile was first born
Her beauty always suffocated the crowd
All i could see was the wonder of her skin
I have fallen under the spell of this black queen
She was a fragile treasure, the elixir of beauty

She sparkled like she was kissed by the morning sun
She was never satisfied with her perfection
Trying to fix what GOD has personally certified
Denting you to wear a skin that isn’t yours
Like sharp sand i watched her beauty sink rapidly

She was deep rooted in self-doubt of her skin pigment
Not knowing the magnificence of her existence
She never knew she was a gush of glamour
Glorious to behold and graced with melanin
Gradually she became high on inferiority complex
She became lost in a world she was created to own

Your beautiful brown body is a work of art
Dipped in black gold and coated with brown sugar
You define an indestructible uniqueness
Your black skin is a badge of superiority
Black is magical and above comparison
Black complexion is the new religion .
the uniqueness of your color is above definition

Veiled from the world the Queen did keep
A '*******' girl who cost her sleep
Though tethered down and kept from sight
Still she shone forth as purest light

A brazen heart (to match her hair)
Beat in the breast of 'maiden fair'
She fuelled her lusts for life with love
Of country, and of God above

She sought no spouse to guide, for she
Was wise enough for her country
As fire and ferver burned within
Ne'er a fool charmed his way in

Her sister, on her ravaged throne
Felt only fire for her betrothed
Yet failed to birth a princely son
And ruled and died in fear, undone

And thus, Bess ruled as Princes do
Absolute, and mightily too
And whether truth, or rumour stark
Purity did become her mark

For she who held her own did learn
By passion, one could easily burn
And thus she led, her heart beholden
To England; and their reign was golden
Fun little one based on the perspective of Elizabeth I given in a book I recently read :)

As time passes by
I keep falling for you harder
like the rain falling to the ground on monsoon
pouring its love all around
As I frantically try to reach back for a parachute
to slow down my fall
I realize that I don't have one,
And that I cannot stop falling for you.

I wonder if it is the divine right for a king not to apologize.
A king resting in his glory hole,
Savagely ripping apart his council,
Smashing fortifications to the ground in spite.
Some view his kingdom a paradise on the outside but within,
Bricks of hell layer one another in heaps of hate and misconception,
A queen bowing her head in dismay.
Subjects fall without ease,
Knights taking territory from every which way,
The wrath of this king spread over territory not his.
A reign that was not his own.
To the king, his divine right lay with God but to his queen,
His power lays within the dirt their subjects part each other from.
Something a little different.

I've fallen into that inner void
That you'd do your best to avoid
All I find is a Jester laughing like I said the joke
But looking at a replay of my life
The King lights his smoke

Thinking of his past Queens
Looking at all the inbetweens
The rights and wrongs
The places where feeling belongs

But this void is angry and seething
Its a Demon and its teething
With a enraged disgust and distrust
Its a beast that hates one of it's own
Listen you simply must

I've seen the real you and you're no Skipper
You're no Queen, you were the Ripper
You were the Jack of all trades, master of them all
But only the ones that guarantee your King's fall

You just simply do not exist
Please don't resist
Just ride your white cloud into hell
You to me are nothing, as I can tell

The King puts out his smoke
In the end you were the Joke
Honest thoughts.
