You don’t  think I care,
but I do.
You don’t think I’m there,
but I am
In the shadows, out of view,
but I’m there
My presence, not seen
Be still & you’ll feel me
My voice, carried by the wind
Listen & you’ll hear
Unnoticed, but ever-present;
forever encouraging, supporting,
loving you from afar
Let my Absence teach you what my presence did not
Let my laments teach you what my songs did not
Let my disloyalty teach you what my sincerity did not
Ornaments and lights decorate trees
Traditions that we've made this to be
Presents are generous, but to be alive

Is the gift that continues to give
Because your presence
Is a present

Focus energy not on tensions
Or frustrations, but realizing
Appreciations for each lesson
Blessing, and silver lining

For Christmas cheer, is to be kind
To unite love like peace signs
And as we celebrate his birthday
To keep the good faith in mind.
I wrote this poem in honor of Christmas, last year. It's my first Christmas poem that I can remember dedicating to the holiday. I had also written a song about Christmas, but I'm pretty sure this was my first poem about it. I hope you find something to like. ^^
The night is fruitful
and it stretches on forever
with no light or voice to vie
to me the darkness provides
to me it never lies
my mind becomes calm and agile
like a figure in the caricatures

so I diligently fantasize the time
who speaks to me through the ticking of the old clock
who paints the dusky room with ink that darken every second
who puts a tranquil aura on items that touches my skin
who proudly reveals its presence over every other elements
who is the now, the ever, and the everlasting end

Know this - I am.
Know this - I can.
Know this - I will
and know this - I will, with you.
And yes, that's a promise,
about which I am serious.
You can be sure of my presence,
confident of my grace.
Come and together let's change this place for the better.
I serve a God of promise.
I need to write it down
to solidify the facts
him and I have never been
and will never be
each others future

we were each others present
for a while
and oh how your smile
could light up my day
we were good at the now
but never knew what tomorrow
might bring

As his presence fades
our present ceases to exist
but I have to let that go
because we have no tomorrow
all we had was each other
no goals, no plans
eventually the present must become the past
and I must move on
