The sun has yet
To prove it's purpose
When it hardly compares
To the warmth of your smile.
But who am I
To interpret such heat?
I've nothing but ice
In my veins.
Maryrose Alarcos Jan 2015
I lay flat on the bed
Millions of thoughts
Running endlessly without fail
On my slightly clouded mind
Still, I remain unfazed
Unmoved by the situation
I endured life's pain
My heart that was once a glowing bright red
Is now burned by flames of hurtful lies
And crushed by a boulder of empty promises
Pain has made me this way
The old me was long gone
And is replaced by the me today
With walls built up to resist his sweet yet venomous words
A heart wrapped up in blizzards of ice that refuse to heat down with his touch
And a locked up soul that will never open up to him or anyone anymore
Pain has made me this way
And I think I'll stay this way forever.
i think this is ******... sorry guys

Now for those that don't know Mr. Freeze is my favorite villain in batman his icy persona always appealed to me in ways Two Face and Clay Face couldn't hope to achieve.

Is it possible for me to posess one of his most famous features in life's grand quest,
the heart of ice.
if I had it that would be nice
it wouldn't sting at all of someone stabbed me in the back
or if someone played me I'd shrug it off and laugh.
And if someone broke my heart I wouldn't fall apart I'd simply move on to the next one, over I wouldn't have to start.

But his heart of ice came at a horrible price
his body decayed in search of a cure for his wife.
well I'm single right now so that wouldn't matter to me
in fact I'd probably not get annoyed by certain members of my family.

So all I'm saying is a change would be nice,
if I had Mr. Freezes Heart Of Ice.
Him:
Do you want to share my ice cream
play footsie?
Inch by inch
I’ll climb up
You eat

Her:
I want to go horseback riding
By candlelight
With a bottle of wine
squeezing with my thighs
I want a stallion

It creeps into our minds and compels us to turn and walk away, even if that means letting go of the things we yearn for the most
Somehow, it manages to whisper lies that we deem of more than the pure truth
The things that we have perfected no longer embrace value, for our words cannot escape from our locked lips and our bodies become more frozen than ice
Opportunities become grains of sand that slip through our fingers
We endeavor to perceive what is in the vast and mysterious unknown
Our views are distorted, and we believe that we are only fools for dreaming of something so great and unfathomable, even when we have prepared for this our entire lives
That something is our future, but there is one thing that possesses the power to stifle us
Fear.

when winter arrives
with fingers of ice
that creep across
the window pane

i recall him in
my solitude
is he warm now
in another's embrace?

too easy do I recollect
every facet of his face
the jaw i traced
with trembling hands
eyes of emerald
flecked with gold
arms encircled
'round my waist

mouth that plundered
kisses bold
fingers fine
that intertwined
my own hands
and passion wild
velvet tongue
his saving grace

poet's words enamoured hearts
noble brow for kisses chaste
soul that claimed mine
as its own
smile like sunburst
warmed his face

laugh that charmed
a bashful child
mind all beauty
to behold

but winter dwells within his heart
there alone, it's ever cold
The leaves of the last remaining sentries,
Continue their hopeless rebellion,
Buffeted by falling ice and gusts.
Bright green teardrops fight against the dominating grey and white,
A splash of colour lines the sides of the road.

A boy's feet slip, but he remains upright,
Continuing on along the treacherous path.
Where is he going?
He walks with purpose towards that which he knows will **** him,
His face gathers cuts from the winds serrated breath,
His hands start to bleed from every time fell.
But still he continues, unafraid, undeterred,
Certain in his undying thirst to walk,
He gathers pace, filled with strength,
His rebellion now begins to approach,
No question, his choice is foolhardy and pointless,
There is no chance of victory against such an opponent
Yet he fights through the crowds, running in the opposite direction,
And dives head first into his life's end.
But he survives.
Through some miracle of luck or chance,
He reaches the final shore,
Surrounded by green in a grey world,
Crushed but still breathing,
Though bleeding, still strong,
He takes the final step.
Frozen in glacial ice
You shine in the starlight
In silence
With the warmth of the sun
You flow
To your freedom
Leaving the moon and the dark night
behind you

They mourn and grieve
Finding you not
The following night

You come and shower
Your love
Scattering your misty eyes
From above the clouds
Circling the mountain
A mystic river

Heat-
The very contrast to my wintry, iced fingertips.
Warmth of the soul, of the heart,
But froze so long, the heart can only be thawed so much-
The flesh remains gelid, cold to the touch.
Associated with hostility and apathy, but the misconception continues.
A warmth within struggling to surface,
Never to be viewed or felt.
Only a desire,
Unable to be attained(obtained).
Gelid flesh-
Frigid, Frosty.
Melts, but freezes over.
A gelid fire unable to be only one.
Unable to thaw and prosper,
To spark
To burn
To warm the deep opaque darkness.
Sharp.Frozen.Bright.
No matter the warmth-
Iced fingertips chilled to the bone.
