I forgive you, you weren’t there.
I adore you, in my head.
I’m hiding the truth,
You won’t ever see;
I cared, now I know

If I could
Runaway
I wouldn't have to deal
With feeling hurt
Everyday
If I could
Runaway
I wouldn't have to
Hide myself
In their dismay
But all I do
Is
Run, run, run
from the things I fear
Will come my way
Whenever I
Runaway

Who art thou?
I am me of course.
But what does that mean?
I don't know.
Facets or Facade?
I don't want to know.

Should I run and hide in fright?
Or perhaps be filled with delight
for I do not know
how much darkness is within.

The sight of you makes me feel at home
I love how the whisper of your voice in me ear
& The feeling your fingers on my cheeks as they roam
Eliminates all my innate fear, don't need to shed a tear
But I'm still shedding tears because you don't love me
Despite being intimate, we're not intertwined
None of your friends even know I exist
You hide me, for such a reason you resist to tell me
Even though my patience is past due
I stay because I'm in love with you

No need to knock
I don't mind
But I request you not to
carry the lantern inside

For I am afraid of the light
and this is the only place left to hide

My sleeves unfolded
Do you mind?
To conceal the cuts on my skin
and the stench of necrosis alkaline

Yes I am afraid of the light
and this is the only place left to hide

If you seek welcome
in my mind
your heart must bleed darkness
and restless should be your eyes

Are you afraid of the light?
Come, friend - this is our place to hide
I may not be able to show you the light.
But I won't turn you down when you need a place to hide.
You do not strive for greatness
You strive for perfection

But perfect
Isn’t perfect enough

You don’t need a break and are not allowed mistakes
For you are strong enough

Smile
Say goodmorning
No matter the lie

Don’t cry
Sit straight
Don’t yell
No rough music
Be a good girl

For we only want the best for you

•~•

I mustn’t settle for greatness
I must strive for perfection

But don’t stop there
No matter how delusional it sounds

Breaks and mistakes are not tolerated
They think I’m strong enough

Smile
Say goodmorning
No matter the lie

Don’t cry
Sit straight
Don’t yell
No rough music
Be a good girl

Put yourself in the mold your parents made for you

walk into the cafe
know eyeliner and glasses
hide what needs to be hid
accept the compliments
tell a stranger your issues
talk about good vibes
drink some coffee
be an hour late
get a free drink
cast a sickly glow
buy some tea
burn your tongue
realize everyone in this cafe
is as ****** up as you

Hide everything.
Words, Thoughts.
Feelings, Cuts.
Good thoughts are spoken.
Bad thoughts are thought.
Letters written,
Emotions bestowed.
Never show,
Never tell.
Hide my poetry,
No one needs to know how I feel.
I'm writing a small poem every day about how I feel or the world around me, This is #16

My bed
My closet
I can't hide myself
I ran away
From the other side of myself
It's the worst side of me
I hate it
That side wants to ******
That side wants to hurt
Sometimes my heart, wants to be that side
I've hurt my best friend
I mean, it's not my friend anymore
I want to **** that side
But than I'll **** my good side too
I don't want that to happen
I have to deal with it
Keep going
