The heaven is far,
Yet the earth is naught.
Standing at the edge of the world
To witness the heaven and earth;
The earth is an immovable bed,
Yet heaven is a boundless net.
Alas, where my path goes,
Heaven's gaze is there.
Where my foot tread,
Earth is there.
I am simply a fish caught in a net...

Shower in my blood

I feel your heat

my simmer

We are far

far from love

But I’m falling

at landing

will there be a pillow?

Crocodiles ****

but you can torture

you have more power

over me than you realize

Power struggle

You always win

because I ******* let you

But I don’t want to let you, anymore

because I’m a ******* shark

I’ll bite your ***** off

and leave your timber.

Death seems far away
Too distant for eyes to see
Taste it on our tongues
It always seems far away until it doesn't

delusional sweet,
deliciously scattered
among that fine gold

sun moon and stars
effaced by celestial grace
beholden to you

from a separate world
is that hair full
of golden locks

the soft light of that
angelic smile shifting
earth into some celestial isle

adrift i amble on forlorn
far from the graces of my sweet
and my harp knows no sound but pain

and so heaven sighs
its sad hymn
to see you so far away

so assuredly
my head full of dreams
of you so far away

The agony of knowing
Things have been broken
Yet you stayed silent;
Little words left unspoken
Chained Apr 2020
You killed your soul, so long ago
And decency right after that
You've been driven by your ego
Faking smiles to collect hate.

You think you’ve got your holy grail
So white, so clean, untouched by dirt
Who you kidding with fairy tale?
Can’t please both worlds and still on Earth.

Will you be one? Will become one?
You, plastic men, nature’s asking
Will you offer your plastic heart?
To be cut off by Holly king?

You’ve chosen the ugly stuff
With fancy names, which might vary
You left classic, beauty and life
To be modern, contemporary.

You are *****, blind, unholy
You lack the shame your fathers had.
Even if death hugs my body
I’ll never blame that times were bad.

Distances
by Michael R. Burch

Moonbeams on water —
the reflected light
of a halcyon star
now drowning in night ...
So your memories are.

Footprints on beaches
now flooding with water;
the small, broken ribcage
of some primitive slaughter ...
So near, yet so far.

I wish this world we both stand on wasn't yours, but only mine
you took so much from me but we still have to share the things I love the most
The moon in the sky I ponder at is also yours to look at when you please
The air that fills my lungs and allows me to breathe is also yours to inhale
The same water that flows from my faucets is connected to yours allowing you to drink
The earth i stand on is also yours to walk
The sun that basks me in its light and warmth is also yours to enjoy and savor
so far away...but never far enough
