How long is one day?
Some say it's a day
others say it's a day
with a night but one
is yet to figure it out.

Every day the sun sets
precisely at the end.
Only to rise new again
at the end of the night!
A day is never enough
to count a day.

Faces nearly touching
Bodies too close

Cheeks redden
Heart races

Butterflies dance
Mind scrambled

Now lips are touching
Bodies intertwined
To my "friend"

As I sit here drunk
On a Thursday evening
I can’t help but think
How you got away
I’m so sorry
I wasn’t good enough

I just wanna think about you-
What we’ve been through
And why it didn’t work
How my flaws pushed you away
No matter how hard I tried
I was never enough

I’m sorry, Im sorry
I’m so ******* sorry
I rea-ly tried
i’m sorry, Im sorry
I’m so ******* sorry
I wasn’t enough.
i’m sorry, Im sorry
Im so ******* sorry
So. *******. Sor-ry

[I lay in my bed for hours at a time
With nothing but my
cell phone and a cigarette
Wanting to call you, to call you
I know I should, I really should
But I can’t bring myself to
Dial that number I knew oh so well

Thanks to YOU, I’m so sad
thinking of all the things I gave you
I’m sitting here at 4 AM
you’re tugging at my heartstrings
Listening to Real Friends
Just like we did together
In my bed, tangled endlessly ]

[loud and angry, no guitar] You are a toxin, you are a poison
You were selfish and uncaring
And I fell for all of it
Every hot and sweaty minute of it
Im tired of this, I’m tired of you
[soft] I love you

i’m sorry, Im sorry
I’m so ******* sorry
I Rea-ly tried.
I’m sorry, i’m sorry
I’m so ******* sorry.
I’m a *******
I’m sorry, Im sorry
I’m so ******* sorry
I’m sorry, Im sorry
I’m so ******* sorry
I’m sorry, Im sorry
Im so ******* sorry
I’m so ******* sorry.
This song is about not being enough for the one you love.

I wrote this as a sing, but I have no musical talents, so here's the lyrics as a poem. enjoy
The Girl I Saw Today
Was unsure
Was okay with being unsure
Was unsure about being okay with being unsure
Was in love with tactileness
Wanting to touch everything around her instead of feeling it

The Girl I Saw Today
Was lovely with expansive overwhelming experience
Had her doubts thrown out her head as she tipped it backward
Her brow furrowed oblivious to any love

The Girl I Saw Today
Hadn’t broken any walls like it was supposed to
Didn’t suddenly hit a switch
Or change from black to white

The Girl I Saw Today
quite quietly felt an air of glimmering comfort pick her up
Throw her forward casually
Knocking her slightly off balance
But blowing her exactly into position
To another step of the waltz
in the Rond de Jambe of life

Would you like it if I cried?
Would that make it more real to you?
Would you like it if I died?
Would that make my feelings true?

Would you make me go and hide?
Would that finally impress you?
Would you eat up all my pride?
Would that satisfy you?

That's how you'd like it.
That's how you'd like it, isn't it?

That's how I'd like it.

“you were old enough to understand”
I was eleven years old.
I was old enough to understand
6th grade.
not how to live without a mother.

-you still seem to blame us for your mistakes

watch the water crash,
the wave slowly crawling up to the tips of your toes,
begging for it just stop,
slow down,

wanting to turn around,
run away from the drips of crystal
but you're froze.

Muscles fight your thoughts,
a civil war within your shaking body,
grasped by the deep tremors.

The pain is just temporary,
but there's nothing more scary.

Water rises higher and higher,
your desperate thoughts turn to
screams.

why even try,
nothing can stop the persistent tide.

you just have to watch,
as it consumes you whole,
poisoning you from the bottom
slowing rising all the way to the shadows in your head.

You did all you could,
besides run.

which you've refused to do.

I always leave hoping someone will run after me. I’m not good at goodbyes and I hate letting go.
It’s been that way for years.
For a while, my demons left me alone and I met a few angels along the way.
The peace of having a hand to hold kept my sanity in tact.
I slept fine underneath the blankets of affection and dreamt of dreams that I knew would come true.

For a while I believed that I was happy.
I have never needed to be saved.
I can do that myself.

I just want to be loved.

Stars are only clearest in the dark night
But that one star, she dared to be bright
She dared to be bright, when they said it wasn't right
They said it wasn't right to be bright except in the night

She twinkled just like any little star
Though she was different with every little scar
Her scares made her a different kind of star
But that wasn't enough, she just had to raise the bar

So when day came, when the star hid
She shone forth without being timid

sometimes
before i sleep
i wish that i'd dream of you
because
in dreams
is the only place i get to see you again.
in my dreams you're touching my face
and asking me if i wanna try again with you...
and i almost do.
