To judge another is really not your place
You never know how it feels unless you live inside their space
But maybe your just stupid, ignorant, or dumb
Please enlighten me tell me which one
Bria Grimm Dec 2015
You were the last act,
Now trailing in the wings
You're a carcass
Confined in my hot car

You are all the pain
I now choose to ignore

All you need,
Yeah,
All you need,
Take a look inside yourself
Strip away the seems.

You are a black cloth
Who wants to engross my light
You're just a dog
Weeping in the night.

You only stuck with me
Because you had no others.

All you need,
Yeah,
All you need,
Take a look inside yourself
Strip away the seems.

You're all wrong, but it's alright.
You're all wrong, but I'm alright.
Inspired, of course, but the lovely Radiohead's track "All I Need".
This is "our song" rewritten and now given true meaning. Enjoy.
Ambiguous Frizz Nov 2015
My gaze is a reflection of the horizon:
Ever unending,
Obscure,
Teeming with anticipation.
This taste of bitter sweet tang
Which we all hoped for to end
But never wished to pass
Reminds me that we are free
Uncontrollable
Fragile.
Yet we pretend we are otherwise
For that we feel stronger.
Neglecting our flaws
Insisting a blanket of perfection.
But you are you
I am me
We are we
And your edges create your wholeness.
Do not be scared, child
Because we all are.
Have courage and be proud.
That’s how you wield your dagger.
Wee hours before end

It is easier to dislike,
to hate,
to hide,
than it is to realize
YOU are the reason
that curve,
crooked tooth,
or scar,
are deemed flaws.

Accept your responsibility
as a creative being.
Adapt your perception
to one of appreciation.

That curve...
is from giving life.
That crooked tooth...
helps you whistle.
That scar...
tells a story.

Love your flaws,
they make you, you.
Release some guffaws,
as perception you redo!

I keep looking at myself
And it’s so hard to see who I am
Who will I be?
All I know is that I don't know me
Nobody knows me
Let alone me
What have I become to be?

My future dreams are shrouded in mystery
They come and go
Day by day, they run and blow
I am afraid of the days ahead of me
I don't see any future for me
I have been searching around
For the image that best fits me
Alas, nothing it seems
I'm a chameleon
Living in a dream with transient dreams

I've dreamt too much, yet lost too much
I know I am awake, but my mind is at stake
My focus is fading
Chaotically beyond my reach

My mind seems lost
And my body feels without a surface
Floating around in distant space
As I float
Waiting hopelessly for nothing
Colorless and empty without a face
There's nothing worst than feeling lost in life on so many levels. It's always important to remember that it takes time to discover our true selves and that there's no shame in feeling lost from time to time.

Kenshō May 2015
The ebony shade had cast a dark distance;
The depth of night would swallow echos whole,
Leaving no trail and no solemn mark.

But, a million delusions would rampant rage,
Ripping and tearing at an illusory cage.
One fine mark, between light and dark..

Clarity would tease its way through the shaded groves
And the branches would create a labyrinth,
Showing the light where to go.

To my heart and the center of the circle.
Where, on the hill, the sun rises purple.
And the lonely chant drifts off like smoke..

Do you know what its like
to have all these things
beauty
life
bursting at the seems
creativity is its mask
you hide it well
but soon enough the water rises
and the tide will swell
it will all spill over
out an onto them
people watching
family
friends
let it cover them like blankets as they sit
to be inspired by the giving in your gift
You
I am,
a sword in the hands of a Spartan,
the will in the hearts of a Titan,
the rock David used to defeat Goliath the giant,
the joyful tear that drops from the Mother's eyes at the first
sight of the new born child,
then I become the sniffle that breaks the silence
My soul lives in the heat of the Earth's core so it can't be
burnt by its violence,
freedom screams thy name with no strings attached
however I like the two-faced sounds of the violins.

I am,
the Autumn leaf that didn't fall in the fall when the weather
was in the minus,
the first light of the day that graces the skins of the early
risers,
the main course, the dessert, the appetiser,
the money spent by a miser,
the Earth on which living beings live on,
the air that fills thy lungs,
the fire that keeps us warm
the energy that you give off that makes me who I have become.

I am,
the water that quenches thy thirst,
a favourite rappers best verse,
an influential scientist's most educated guess,
a Grandchild's first step,
Romeo and Juliet's last breath,
Love,
I am you

The scariest thing is,
we're ready to evolve.

Imagine how many of our horrors we could solve.

Even darker still,
they don't want us to unite.

But after all, what's been solved with all these wars we fight

And money is of course...
the most important thing of all.

Yet funny as it sounds...it really means nothing at all

We're brothers and we're sisters,
under a common sun.

These lines we've scrawled on maps of ours...shattered instead of one.

That's the truest problem,
the final shackle yet to break.

The futures beams with brightness...but we've a final leap to take.

We must release the past,
We'll need both hands to lunge.

Balancing precipitously before the plunge,

Our consciousness transcending,
silence ringing in our ears.

The internal glow of love without the salty taste of tears.

We're worthy and we're ready,
and some of us awake.

Enlightenment expanding, like a ripple on a lake.
