I dream a world where hunger-
A forgotten feeling guessed.
Where insides never rumble,
All the frigid bodies dressed.
I dream a world with Love
Tattooed across our open eyes.
With fingers locking one another
Until we’ve reached the skies.
When money keeps us warm,
As it lights the fire place.
And mouths in key of Kumbaya
While it burns without a trace.
With Hate removed from language
As we teach the boys and girls
That every color of the rainbow shines-
Of such a dream, my world.

For every smile
There are fears
For every "I'm okay"
She hides a thousand tears

On the outside she's fine
But the whole thing is a lie
Inside she's broken
She's beaten and hoping
No one sees past her cover story

Her breaking point gets closer
With every smile she fakes
Everyday of charades
But even though she's worn thin
She still holds it in

No one sees her reality
No one sees past her cover story
Wrote this about 2 years ago. That's how I felt then.

The sounds of the city hold more weight at night
It’s all I can focus on when there isn’t any light.
Almost from the Stars, a brisk breeze blows through the trees.
The year has grown old, and the weather back to a cold freeze.
I look up from the park bench and see a dark abyss,
but I listen, and see something of the city is amiss.

When distracted by daylight I feel less alone
but in the spotlight of nightfall, I’m all on my own.
My thoughts grow louder as my sight fades black
I recall my less lonely times in days passed.
But on my own its less phony, knowing who myself is in a sense
I was alone yet not lonely, in my youthful bliss innocence.
Similar theme as "Spring is Over", with a darker touch.

Hello? Yes, hello...
You must have built up so much courage,
But I'm inclined to say no.
Because although,
Many years have passed...
I'm still trying to rebuild the girl you destroyed and burned to ash

Hello, can you hear me?
Oh now you want to reconcile after all the pain you caused me...
So I've heard, you've been talking,
Going around telling everyone
How sorry you've been feeling...

There's such a difference, between us...
And a million miles.

Hello from the other side
It must have really hurt your pride
To have sat there, waiting.. for me to come around
After all the humiliating words you said to the crowd

Hello from the outside
I learned to walk away and smile
You have written letters and knocked on my door
Begging forgiveness but I must confess I feel nothing for you anymore....

Hello, I'll stop you there
Where's the girlfriend that you had back then
As you would run your fingers through my hair
I hope, she saw right through you
And that she left you just as broken as what you deserved coming to you

I'd tell you something, that I know now
But you're just not worth the time.

Hello from the other side
It must have really hurt your pride
To have sat there, waiting.. for me to come around
After all the humiliating words you said to the crowd

Hello from the outside
I learned to walk away and smile
You have written letters and knocked on my door
Begging forgiveness but I must confess I feel nothing for you anymore....
Love the original song. But I'm a huge fan of writing on behalf of the other side so here's my take on it.
This can't keep going.
The tears won't stop flowing.
The self-loathing is growing.
The façade has slipped, and the real me is showing.

A year
in which
each day
brings one
tenth inch.
First the
window sills
are covered
then door
jambs. Our
lips are
sealed then
our eyes
shut. Sleep
like this
we've never
known. Will
Spring return?
Unknown. We
care not.

Behind the walls are where my secrets lie
Where my thoughts take refuge from being seen
Where my emotions peer from behind the veil in hopes of being displayed upon an immobile face
The walls were built as a sense of security, to keep the outside from coming in
Few, successfully, have knocked down a wall or two, but never all
Because behind the walls is where my true self is concealed
And I refuse her access into the real world
A world where she can never be accepted
Reflecting the sun
our eyes
a blindness is amplified

We deny what's beneath

This skin can be shattered

it must

it must or it will last

On the verge of crying
On the verge of dying
But its okay
I'll just smile it off anyway

A smile is my natural mask
