A Way To Cope

A hidden world, like a heart's inner word
it cannot be seen, nor can it be heard
everyday of your life, it exists
you try to resist, but it persists

Just as thoughts control one's mind
so too, the will power where one can find
a way to cope, or at least to unwind
from troubles and fears that do so bind

Fear restricts freedom, your mind to explore
it is forcing your happiness into a detour
left is desire to find this calm, and be content
better than suffering, with fear to vent

There is no escape, you feel like you're bait
only time now stands, between you and your fate
no respite, whatever you might endeavor to do
knowing those worries, nevertheless, will continue

It plagues your mind, and plagues your soul
hearing inner voices saying, "I told you so"
so once again, withdrawing from that chase
retreating yourself, to your secret hiding place

That place of comfort, and place of security
a location guaranteeing you, your obscurity
time has taught you, you have fine tuned
this is your way, to heal your own wound

Overcoming fear is the only way
it requires patience to wait that day
thinking you can rely, to yourself do you obey
but with time, once again you do go astray

To regain control, of your inner world of fears
you need a friend, with whom to share those tears
someone who has been tested, someone to confide
allowing you to open up, and to no longer hide

A friend who listens, allowing you to mend
on a special someone, whom you've come to depend
that beautiful soul, she alone with her tears
knows that secret, to remove those fears

Your friend for the duration, till the very end
she is not into gossip, nor does she pretend
a ***** soul mate, destroying your world of fears
giving you a listening ear, and her heart that cares
A short poem to let you know how your fear will disappear

Whispers of Love, they come in the still of the night
carried on the cool breeze, their being ever so light
promises of love echo, as birds flying high above sing
where hearts bound as one, will forever lovingly cling

Whispers of Love, they come from those giving hearts
softly floating from body and soul, waiting to impart
a heart once sad, elevated, with depression to depart
life's ultimate meaning, a long awaited love to start

Whispers of Love, they really come from G-d above
we are only messengers, giving each other His love
unique contentment, found in the fidelity of the dove
a unity of which devotion and trust are really made of

Whispers of Love, emanating from a heart wishing to share
a man and woman carefully choose a partner in whom to care
whether for good or bad, better or worse, together to the end
a world of love to bestow, on the wife in whom you can depend

Those Whispers of Love, are really desires from way down inside
earnestly hoping for that one soul alive, in whom you can confide
so when you start to hear those soft whispers, remember to smile
because your love is now to begin, as you walk her down the aisle
This is a short poem which whispers messages of love

How to come to terms with the pain inside
when hurt goes deep, when hurt spreads wide
and where to turn, in whom to confide
this was all that remained, for me to decide

A decision I made, of which I took in stride
though standing there alone, silently, I cried
knocking on her door, that cold winter night
as soon as I saw her, could not tell if it was right

That night was a test, trying to put my pain aside
accepting deep in my heart, it might forever reside
but the power of these feelings, inside of me took hold
consumed by a single desire, with her alone to unfold

Eye to eye we did meet, although our words were few
telling her of my sorrow, her reaction I then knew
those tears in her eyes, hurt me most of all
regret for having once left her, how I felt so small

Taking her hand in mine, never again to let go
kissing her tenderly, irrepressible tears did flow
my imprudent heart, would no longer do her wrong
whispering to her my love, forever my only song
I believe Love Is The Greatest of Medicines!
This is a short poem about love, mistakes, and a happy ending. Sometimes life looks bleak. There really seems to be no more tomorrow, being unable to find any consolation to your current situation. Then there is still hope. There can still be a "coming to terms" within yourself. And in the end, a happy reconciliation.

You may not have someone to cuddle with
You may not have someone to give you sweet kisses
You may not have someone you can call yours
But you have someone you can confide with
But you have someone who will help you through anything
But you have someone who will love you no matter what
And I'm **** glad that's me

I need someone. I go to the one I'm supposed to confide in.
But the one you're supposed to confide may not comfort you because you don't believe what they're saying to you.
'Babe, you're gorgeous'
Then tell me why my stomach is bulging. Tell me why my stretch marks are screaming at me. Tell me why I feel the need to get rid of everything.
When I don't believe you, don't get mad.
Try and see it from my point of view.
Am I now not supposed to ever come to you when I'm feeling down, or have a problem, or a good rant?
Am I supposed to bottle up my problems because you feel negative?
Let them slowly **** me, but keep my mouth shut and keep giving you smiles so you believe I'm okay.
When I die, at least I can say 'At least I didn't tell him my problems because now he won't know I've been rotting away for months'.
You can be happy until you're staring at my body in a hospital or morgue.
You can be happy until I'm more broken than I am now.
You can be happy not knowing I'm not okay.

You can be happy while I'm dying.

you raised me from hell
an angel by my side
there, even when you fell
a soul in which to confide
you knew me well
my thoughts, i could not hide
secrets you would never tell
the ocean of my tide

does it make you primed
does it make you cry
does it make you feel inside
and the corpses rise

do you want to believe
cant you see the tide
filled with doubts seed
does it make you lie

does it make you cringe
can you ever confide
is it time to infringe
whats truth and a lie

for I don't know
what reality is
what to believe
time and space it self
if nothing else

does it make you primed
did I make you bleed
does it make you feel inside
do you want to beilve
cant you see the tide
don't cover your eyes

Grass is Greener*

Someone with one foot in, one foot out,
These days what relationships are about.
Find something meaningful, magical and rare,
Stick with that person, don't go anywhere.
The skies the same color wherever you go,
Fall for one person, dance to and fro.
Make it count, you only get one life,
Don't fill it with heartache, difficult love, and strife.
See happiness in one person and be true,
Stay together, do the work, see it through.
A lover, a best friend, someone in to confide,
The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Listening ears don't come easy
Most come with mouths harbouring wagging tongues
Pouncing on the chance to retell your story
Exploiting your need to empty acrid lungs

Listening ears, they're indeed very rare
Unidentifiable no matter how well you know
Lurking behind a mask of concern and care
Sweet words employed so your cards you'd show

Listening ears could be just a myth
An idiom to quench the thirst to confide
Listening ears sometimes come with fangs for teeth
Hungering and lusting for your trust and pride

Listening ear, oh why you come with a mouth so foul
Why the cunning trickery and unscrupulous deceit
Kindness as bait, when in fact you prowl
Many none the wiser until they are bit

Listening ear, in you I gave my trust
I bared my innermost and gave my all
Hoped that you'd soothe my ailing crust
Instead you lifted me high only to watch me fall
The covenant of secret-keeping is not for everyone.

Be careful whom you trust
Be careful who hears your words
Be careful to whom you confide
Often enough these are people who hide

Their masks are bright and painted
The claws dipping in blood and tainted
They feed on your every word
What you confide is like gold

Unbeknownst to you, they lie in quiet wait
Waiting and watching when you'll trip over your fate
Then gleefully will issue that malicious smile
I've got you trapped now, where will you fly.

From the heart of a wounded, I write to you
Friend, fear the one who says he's true
Test and try every one you meet
Open not your hearts door to everyone you greet!
Just feeling a little low today!
