Even if I waited, as I would,
On the harbor of the sea from which you've drifted,
You are the Captain of your driftwood.
I am a Lighthouse.
Standing on its own, but beckoning a safe return.
Maxim Keyfman Jun 2018
I am the captain in my mind
I am the captain of the world
I'm the captain of everything
I am the captain of this ring

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

I am the captain of my friends
I'm the captain of words
I'm the captain of darkness
I'm the captain of the stars

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

I'm captain
captain
of the everything

Standing in the doorway
she saw the boot clad feet
moving away
it took all of her courage
to not let her tears
cross the threshold of her amber eyes
she knew he won't stop
as his love for motherland
knows no boundaries
she knew this too
that she has to be a better
person for him
so in his heart he'd know
that he has someone to return to
always ...
waiting for him in the door way
who's love for him too
knows no boundaries
he was
a mast
his cries
of antecedence
when it
tore rings
in these
statuary dramas
and weren't
discursive though
his mindset
left his
quarters skeptical
there yet
darkness pervaded
him aghast
crimes again
A screen of darkness lurks in the heart

You
You are the captain of my lifeboat.
You are what keeps me afloat.
Even if im William Bligh, you will raise me high.
That one friend you really need.

I don't need a geographer
To take me round the world
I don't need a compass
To direct me south west east north
I don't need a sailor
To sail me in the dark light seas
I don't need a pilot
To fly me all way above the earth
Let me whisper the truth in your  ears
My lady is the world
Inside her is the map
She takes me round the world
She magenetizes me to the paths
She sails my heart through the storms
She flies my mind out of the earth
And she whispers the truth in my ears
You must travel round me my Love

He was kind–
Just like you.
When you looked into his eyes
You just knew.
He always put others
Above himself.
Lots of things about him
Are just like yourself.
He was good–
I wouldn’t kid.
He would’ve died for his crew,
And he did.
You remind me of him;
You’re both kind-hearted men.
When I look in your eyes
It’s like he’s looking back into mine.
I’m reminded of him
Every time you say a word.
You sound just like him–
Every adjective and verb.
Yes, you remind me of him.
That’s the best compliment I could give.
Captain, you remind me of my Captain.

when you feel lonely
when you are far away from your family
when you feel sad
when you are depressed
when you feel there is no hope
when you lost all of your hoard

but  never ever doubt your worth
keep sailing captain its just a storm you are passing through.

Gone away to jump through hoops set up by another collective mindsets' ideals.

The thing about a broken chain is in the missing links it attempts to steal.

So here we are all bound together in a gear motor with loose bearings,
and yet somewhere in the heated friction we find a new drive worth endearing.
Meta cogs and fallen gods can't save us from  bad steering.

There was a time when we were strangers;
ships that passed in the cover of night.
We sailed parallel those lonely waters
not knowing that soon we'd be in sight.

There was a time when we were friends;
you wished only to reach the shore,
but my compass was spinning, our journey just beginning
and so I took you aboard.

There was a time when we were lovers,
but our ship soon started to leak.
We battened the hatches, bailing her out,
but hopes were battered and meek.

An unspoken pact and a final kiss,
letting you drift from my fingertips.
I readied the very last lifeboat,
but the captain goes down with the ship.

Strangers become lovers and lovers become strangers
through sailing the seas of time,
but this mariners tragedy's worth the memories
of when I called you mine.
