Once

Someone said,
never burn a bridge,

But

I say few bridges are
beyond repair
are meant
to be burnt,
to be swallowed,
by liberating fire, and
to be watched turning to ashes..

For

there are always,
few other ways,
to cross the waterways,

Or

There is another river,
to be crossed over,
by a bridge,
which is under repair,

And

Reinforce that other bridge,
Address that ridge,
Work on that bridge,
which abridges
The more important path
of
eternal union
Few old dilapidated bonds serve no purpose.. reviewed by putting the pieces differently and changing the own perpective.
Sometimes such bonds may be ignored to address other important bonds.
Or simply to liberate...

Standing on a bridge
Two doors by me, both are grey
Though dull, they are true.

I walk to one door
Inside is me, uncaring
Caged by depression

Walk to the other
Inside is me, too caring
Shaking, so anxious

Back on the bridge now
Torn by my cage and trembles
My mind split, twin hells
Being depressed is one thing, but depressed AND anxious? The worst kind of hell to be in...

CDK : Your Love Bridges the hole in my heart,
The one left vacuous by abandonment.
Connecting synapses long since forgot,
Filling spaces with passion , not sought.
AB : Healing cartilage of my inner thoughts,
Are the things that bind while working as one.
If you feel great depression in your soul,
I'll be there to be the armor of the absolute one.

I had dreams of creating another human with you,
in a silence that i can't hide anymore.

There was no doubt in my mind that my emotions
would eventually get the best of me,
just to see it walk out the door.

On the city bridge sidewalk
one summer night,
I contemplated
the second half of my life
among the lights
reflected upon the river.

I came to the realization
that no one will remember me.
My readers will soon forget,
as will my family.
That's why I need you,
to remember why I smile
and how I think.

Perhaps a young man with ambition
will inquire about me one day.
If that happens, pour him a drink.
Tell him I loved the sentiment
only the written word can deliver,
but I never loved words as much
as I loved you.
Living one's truth.

my bridge is falling down
it is falling down
where have i gone
i am gone
the bridge is gone
i am down
the wall has gone up
it is high up
the bridge is down
where is the bridge
there is a wall
where is my soul
there is no bridge
it has fallen down
the wall is up
i have gone
the bridge is down
do you see the wall
where is my soul?
London Bridge is falling down
falling down, falling down
London, Bridge is falling down
My fair lady

Terrorists are on the march
Taking lives upon the arch
The British show they're full of starch
My fair lady

Do not hide or they have won
no my son, no my son
We'll beat them like we beat the ***
My fair lady

We are made of stronger stuff
we are tough, we are tough
Teresa May we've had enough
My fair lady

London Bridge is standing tall
It won't fall, It won't fall
Band together, show them all
My fair lady

THE WORLD TODAY IS SHATTERED AND TORN
DEATH IS ALL AROUND US TERRORISM IS BORN
WE MUST FIGHT THIS SCOURGE UNTIL WE WIN
DEDICATION TO OUR TASK IS WHERE LIFE WILL BEGIN

THE PEOPLE AROUND US MUST BE PROTECTED
FROM THIS SLOW MOVING CREEPING DISEASE
COUNTRIES ALL BAND TOGETHER AND FIGHT THIS FOE
LIKE A COOL CALM AND RELENTLESS BREEZE

SWEEPING ACROSS DESERTS AND OUR FALLEN CITIES
BRINGING WITH THEM A UNITED AND STRONG VOICE
WE MUST DESTROY THE DEMON WE KNOW AS TERROR
FOR MANKIND'S FUTURE THERE IS NO CHOICE
MANCHESTER AND NOW LONDON WE MUST FIGHT TERRORISM AND BE STRONG AND UNITED IN THIS TASK

Many sing of Shakespeare or of Keats.
I look to a Scottish lad for my treats.
He was of Irish descent,
and but for friends he would have lived in a tent.

From weaver he rose to a poet of renown,
but his contemporaries treated him as a clown.
Employed to give recitations of his masterpieces,
such as the famous 'Tay Bridge Disaster' he was a poet
of an entirely different species.

Spurning fashionable poetic metaphor and scans,
his simple language amused his many fans.
Alas he died in poverty. Yes he was skint,
but unlike many others of his time,
his poetry's still in print.
If you think this is bad, you should try some of his stuff!

i passed a bridge today.

there was a lake below, green and sparkling and tempting; promising peace and solitude.

the bridge was red and long, and i was stomping my feet;
trying so hard
*not to jump.
