One two three hundred of Iceland's sailors.
Leaning on the finance from our big servant

Departure had little fan-fare
But what did they care

A summer’s Blinding heat
A ship loaded packed with wheat

As Night’s grasp grew.
Our maps battery did too.

Leaving tonight.
I kissed my wife.

Across the sky ten times.
The sun blazed our horizon’s on the same side.

Food getting lighter, our bellies yearning for dinner
Mutiny, mutiny, mutiny.
I wasn’t going to differ.

Two days later. Our top man, who saved the evenings with good chatter.
Gave our crew the word.
Land **, you ***** rappers.

Looking across the sea, putting our withering hands above our knees.
My eyes glistened, had we come to Griffen.

Our final steps, until our land, was pushing forward and backward.
Onboard the land, our sea legs, outstretched our hands.

Aliens, and sailors, leaving together.
What are they saying
New food to chew.

Gave the crew a push to rearrange our mast
Setting sail back to our past.

The cheers were loud, and we are all proud.
As each one of us was the sailor that lead a mutiny crowd.

All the creatures down below
Say goodbye, and up I go

Iridescent waves reflect the sun
And greet me happily, as if for fun

Higher than the birds, up I fly
"Welcome to the ocean in the sky"

Where the horizons gently touch
The worlds of land and air collide

And everything in between
The ocean in the sky

up in the white snow
all is beautiful and calm
now for adventure
I wrote this 10 years ago when I lived in the mountains near Sequoia National Park.

Woodstock ‘69

At first they said we couldn’t;
And then they found they couldn’t stop us now.
We came together as one people.
The smoke we blew, flew up and made the clouds.

They said it wouldn’t happen,
But the happening is louder than one sound.
With peace and love we could be happy;
Try as they might to bring us down.

There stands a sea of people.
The band on stage, the force behind the hand.
We come in peace, so peaceful.
We crash wherever, sleeping on the land.

The voices spread like a virus.
Chinese whispers write a novel of romance.
They couldn’t understand what lives inside us.
Now they see, we only came to sing and dance.

Love is all you need, to truly love your life, man!
The concert is a sell-out.
The tickets all say free; it’s no more plans.
Just flowing with the motion, taking all we have.
The rain came down and some said, that was the end of that.

Up rose a half a million peace signs.
The food is free; the peace is in your hands.
This thing that they called Woodstock,
Grew bigger than you…and I’m a hippy man.

Since I didn’t get you a Christmas card
And you said I haven’t wrote you a poem in a while
I decided to put a little something together
And I hope it makes you smile

This time of the year is all about happiness and cheer
It’s about family, friends, and being for grateful for what you hold deer

Which is why l am so blessed to be able to celebrate our life together
I am so grateful that we make it a point to appreciate the outdoors in every type of weather

I am so grateful that with you I can be myself with all my different moods
I am grateful that even if you don’t know what to do, you usually try to cheer me up with your awesome dance moves

I am grateful that I end each of my days with your snuggly snugs
And that you were considerate enough to get me some custom ear plugs

I appreciate that I have you by side for all of life’s ups and downs
Especially since I know that sometimes I am not the easiest person to be around

I love that we have already named our future cat
And that we both get happy when we listen to purple hat

Thank you Teddy for everything that you do
And I promise I will continue to work on being the best version of myself for you

When I think about us, I am so proud of how we’ve grown
And I can’t wait to experience the future with all of its unknowns

I can’t wait until we move into our home with style
And for the day when we get to walk down the aisle

I can’t wait for putting the kids to bed
And ending the night with a beer and a glass of red

I can’t wait to continue to grow and adventure with you
I can’t wait to accomplish our goals as individuals and also as a pair of two

So with all that being said I love you with all my heart
And I look forward to many more date nights ending with you losing at darts

So I want to suggest that we raise our glasses and cheer
To adventure, to us, to love, to growth, to the future, and to the New Year

I had no knowledge from where it came
I had no forewarning of this tale to tell
But the stone lay shimmering across my path
Lying in tall grass parted for my way

A walk I took to clear my head
To breathe in fresh air and dim the pain in my head
Shallow sunlight streaked across the morning sky
Crickets, chirping birds, and civilization all creeping at that hour

Past the deserted park and over gently-sloped hill
Right ‘round the corner, across the sunken ditches
I walked to walk and walked to blank my brain

Suddenly, Sky's eye rose slightly higher
Gave way to royal goitered rays slicing the air
I saw it, laying there
I saw it! The stone called me by name!

I was blinded, emboldened
Drawn to quaking power
My feet surged forward
My hands outstretched

God I am among men! Emperor I am among Kings!
This stone I have grabbed and this stone which is my own
Is the stone by which the world will fall
Fall to my influence, my conquest
My desires

Gravity brought me back to Earth
The sound of broken silica quietly folded into the morning buzz
Hiding in plain sight, making itself unknown in the sunlight
The rock was slipped from my hands and gone from my life

Back over sunken ditches, left to turn
Slinking down the hill, back through silent playground
I returned again to my former life
Serendipity no longer my name

I'm stuck behind a wall
With myself I'm in a constant brawl
Beaten and battered I can barely crawl
Unfortunately i can't stand tall
Everytime I stand I fall
Everytime I risk it all
I'm still stuck behind this **** wall

This wall I can reach through
But Everytime I do
Same ol same ol happens, nothin new
It says "who are you?"
And throws me away like a horseshoe
I just can't through

I just need to get to the other side
Doesn't matter if I died
Or how many times I cried.
How many times I've lied
Or how many times i need to hide.
I need to get to the other side.

Not being there is killing me
I need to be set free
I need to find a key
Maybe if I'm lucky
Maybe just maybe
I get my chance to flee
But in the meantime, it's killing me.

I get to the wall and stand
Suddenly, a hand
Grabbing on to my arm band
Bringing me to an unfamiliar land
This not what I had planned

I stumble into this new place
Seemingly without a trace
There's a figure, looking at her face
All my emotions get displaced
And my sad thoughts erased
My mind's now floating in space
Happier than anyone in the human race

Im sitting on the ground awestruck
I must have used all my luck
Cuz any other outcome would ****

I admire her beauty and my heart melts
But then she knelt
And picked me up by my belt

I'm standing now, I looked into her eyes and grinned
The world around me had dimmed
And there was no more wind
I thought i had sinned

But suddenly she said "hehe"
That filled me with such glee
My mind had been set free
For the world to see
My smile may be ******
But we must agree
Without my baby
I would still be,
Behind the wall, searching for some imaginary key

You have to let me go.
Set me free.
Let me go and I will come back.
I will tell you all the incredible things that they have told me.
I will let you watch the beautiful sights through my eyes as if you were there.
And I will let you taste the culture and richness of my travels by kissing you.

Hopes hang high, fatigue fails and flickers.
An adventure awaits.
Dawn does disappear; duly, daylight's discovered.
