We have known each other since age five
Together in the school, till we left at age fifteen, after class 10th

In my mind and heart, I still hold you all the same, irrespective of the fact that most of us are parents to fifteen year olds

All these years gone by, I remembered so many of you, not knowing where you would be, until we had our get together in December 2015

Happy to see you all and glad that we have been going strong in all these years, supporting, encouraging and trying to reach out when needed and meeting as and when possible

Side by side

Festive lights glow through the night

No flapping around
High fives the clouds
Nautical miles it scales
Many aboard, feel safe
In the bluest of blue skies, it peaks

It’s the wisdom of the sky
Even when placed high it never fails to humbly look down

There is much happening everywhere

The character assassinated
Fallen prey to a grapevine
Forgot to verify the roots
The treatment so brute
Trying to inject poison into the sacred vine
The venom, had traces of malice
Righteously soon was found an antidote

Grey velvet carpet
Neon white and yellow lights, fogged mirrors
Slow and heavy, loads snarl
Crimson red beeps light in the dark
Stop the sign, the green a distant dream
Far and outstretched the limbs of illogicality

The words trickle down
Line after line, on the screen
Go invisible on the stream

Sometimes, in the early hours of December
It drizzles, just a little bit
The dew remembers
And does not complain
As it knows how moody is the rain
The dew quietly goes down the green grass
Into the soft brown mud, its resting place
Early next morning
It glistens and gives out a smile

Met living beings, the strangest kind

Why did it leave its mother’s side

Strayed away far, far, faraway from home

Scared, it panicked and strayed in the alleys

Didn’t know where and what place it was in

Tired and hungry and scared it went berserk

Trying to find its home in every green place

Couldn’t find mama and papa nor her

brother anywhere

Instead it met living beings of strangest kind

It cried as it realised the concrete jungle

Wasn’t as green as its home

The  jungle

which has the most sparkling stream

Lost its way and now disturbed

Ran in every direction, couldn’t find home

Tired and hungry and scared

It didn’t know, where it was

The strange living beings equally scared of

it, got it tranquillised

Shocked and tired

Finally, it went into a tranquil sleep

Far far faraway from  home

Never ever to see her family, in this life

The she bison, all of four

Now, forever sleeps

In the concrete jungle

The energy of red and happiness of yellow combined
Light orange spilled on the pale blue sky

Tender green leaves, on brown twigs
Like  
Pretty fingers of a danseuse, striking a pose

Barely could stand

Life slowed down
And the process has led to
Fast escape, to avoid contact
