You can't compete where
you don't compare.
One of the MANY reasons why I hate society - people pining people against each other for their own amusement. Creating unnecessary drama and blowing something completely out of proportion. Something that gets worse every **** day.
But also, this is relevant to people - be it friends or family, who see you as competition for no reason at all. They do one thing, you do another. And when you're the best at what you DO, that person will do the same thing as you for attention...
Personally speaking, I don't see people as competition. I just do what I want to do. Since when is that a bad thing?

Anyway, thank you so much for 85 followers! ^.^
Expect MORE Lantern poems from me. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
You guys are so amazing, I swear!

This day and age, our surface matters.
And when I wonder why the rich
end their lives, I know that
wealth, fame and status
are grands cape of
illusion
This poem was influenced by not only Kate *****'s death but many of the celebrities who have committed suicide over the years. There are many suicides that have hurt me over the years, one that's still a raw wound is the death of Robin Williams. I still can't believe he's actually gone.
Just because they made it in life - they drive fancy cars, have big houses, clothes, jewels everything ordinary people desire, doesn't mean that they themselves are happy. Sometimes their own inner demons get the better of them. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I only ever want stability, financially, mentally, emotionally, physically. Fame I see can be a double edged sword. It had both made and killed people.
It's sad...

I'm close to 100 for my lesson learned collection! YES! ^.^

No matter how bad your situation may seem,
bear in mind that there's someone in
a worse position that you are.
ALWAYS. Someone doesnt have a home or food or water.

Be back soon!

Sometimes in life, you can end up doing
all the right things but for the
wrong person
Or people. Definitely people. I've done things I should and shouldnt have for the wrong crowd. With that in mind, I'm being super careful.

In a world purely about survival,
the best revenge I can have is
to live well and succeed
Harsh world but to get back at everyone who has done me wrong, I will live and succeed.

Be back soon!

Loyalty, a quality that is not
used enough in this day
and age.
People are so **** eager to throw others under the bus when the tough gets going.
They also keep secrets from you. Well, thankfully, I have a small niche of friends I KNOW I can trust.
Oh well, c'est la vie!

Be back soon!

You shouldn't feel the need to apologise
for burning so brightly.
When you get your success, don't apologise.
There will ALWAYS be people who will make you feel guilty or expect you to do things for them.
They would want to ride on your coattails and have a piece of the action.
It's cool to do things for them, just don't overdo it.
And most importantly, relish the ride!

Adorn your essence and legacy
with good deeds. Not your
outer shell.
It's the soul that counts, never vanity.

Be back soon!

I will succeed. I will succeed.
Give me time, that's all
I need.
A personal mantra of mine...

Just as art is music for the eyes,
food is music for the tongue,
body and soul!
Nothing lifts me up like a lazy day in with good food!

is only half-lies
Need I say more...?

Good things fall apart which
makes room for the
better.
Something I've learned about relationships - platonic and romantic.
I've had alot of fallouts with 'good' people only to be paired with FAR better ones.
These things do take time. For a long time, I was paranoid about who I can/can't trust (tbh, I still am. It's not something you quickly get over) but hey, I've made better friends in a long run and they sure as hell aren't toxic!

Be back soon!
(A goal of mine is to get my Lessons Learned collection up to 100 at least!)
