Careful
Careful
With what you say

Careful
With what you do

Careful
With what you think

All your life
You have to be so very careful

You must be careful what You write
Certain people may see it

And what will they think of you now?

Daisy Moor
Whilst looking far o'r
long time spreading moor
Cloaked in daisies white

There shall likely be
Bloss'ming cherry tree
Grasping at your sight

Brushing silently by
As daisies qui'tly sigh
As wind moves in flight

Long time you sought
And hard you fought
Not reaching low boughs height

Till setting down
For sun is drowned
Settled for the night

Just before you drift away
Something beckons you to stay
A calling in the night

Yellow and white flow'r
Both of no great pow'r
Standing to no great height

Forbidden by blistering sun
They Bloom when day is done
Sending petal into flight

Finally draws your eye
From boughs never nye
Form'ly insignif'gant beauty in sight

First blooms Flow'r of moon
Eve'ning Primrose thereafter soon
The second of yellow the first of white

Nightingale's voice haiku
How very lovely
Is the nightingale's singing
Yet swans have no voice

Unusual beauty haiku
So beautiful
A swan, born of jay and finch
How could this happen

Sparrow (my favourite bird)
Sleek is a sparrow
Lithe and narrow
Beautiful in its own tiny way

Beautiful
Do not call me beautiful
I will not believe you
I've gone through too much
All those days I rue

I will not believe you
After looking in mirrors
I have come to a conclusion
That leaves many in tears

The angle I see myself
Is different than your own
Don't tell me I'm beautiful
Too much I have grown

Do not call me beautiful
I won't believe you
I've gone through too much
All those days I rue
For all the girls out there who feel like they're too ugly to live. You ARE beautiful. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Notice
Have you ever realised
How much you notice
When you really start to look.
When you really open your eyes.

You notice the girl
Who wears short sleeves
Exposing her cuts and scars
To the world

You notice the boy
Who is late for school every morning
And hardly eats anything
During the day

You notice the girl
Who always wears long sleeves
Who you hear rumours about
Who holds a handful of pills

You notice the boy
Who talks too loudly
And laughs too often
Yet always looks sad when he is alone

You open your eyes to yourself
You realise that this happy lie
The life you've been led to believe
Is really a cruel and sorrowful place

Silence
I stand
In the middle
Of a crowded gym
Noise everywhere

All I ever want is to be alone
Alone
Alone
Alone
But there is nowhere to be alone

So I suffer in silence

Later it is lunch
I sit at my table surrounded by friends
They speak of people
In ways that aren't good
But I am scared of being different

So I suffer in silence

After school I come home
To a house full of people
And all I want is some time to myself
Without being yelled at or scolded

So I suffer in silence

Real(ity)
What is real.
Some of us wonder.
The ones who sit.
In the darkness.

Waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.

Reality.
Swirls through our heads.
Nearly lost.
What is real.

Waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.

For enlightenment about
What.
Is.
Real.

Creeping
Creeping
Crawling
Squirming
Scrawling
Clear and sticky thread

Might he crawl
Upon your wall
At midnight covered
In specks of
Crimson red

Seen and you
Might **** it too
This dreadful pest
Ends many lives
And won’t stop till it’s fed

Many limbs
With which it climbs
With jaws sharp
And poison great
No cure, it is said

Reading this poem you may
Be likely to think and say
A frightening, deadly spider
But no! It is a caterpillar
On which you should not tread
I sit
I wait
Watching the
Food on my plate
Willing myself
Not to eat

Temptation
takes a win
All I want
Is to be thin
But I can't control
These hunger pangs

Hunger
A spark to a flame
A seed to a flower
All thinks grow
As they do, they devour

A child devours knowledge
As a plant devours light
As a flame devours wood
And all put up a fight

A beautiful hunger
It rages and spreads
Then suddenly stops
All but dead

As a flame dies out
And a flower dies
A child loses interest
The whole world cries

For it has lost
A mind so bright
A mind so brilliant

So full of light

Paper thin
The walls around my mind
Are Japanese screens
With intricate designs
Of memory
Printed on them
Easy to break
But easy to repair

The walls around my heart
Are made of obsidian
They protect a delicate city
Untouched, as of yet, by human hands
Hard to break
When they do
How much damage will be done?

Walls
Walls
Built around hearts
Are smooth and pale
Yet hard and thick

Life
Like scarlet vines
Scars on pale walls
Makes its way into the tiny cracks

Widening them
Until the break
Walls crumbling
Into a thousand tiny pieces

For walls are never meant
To withstand as much
As life has to offer
The pressure and strain

Soul
My dear
Save your beautiful soul
At least till tomorrow
When all will be clear

My dear
Tomorrow you can look
Past the heartbreak and sadness
And the pains that sear

My dear
You deserve to live
Beautiful soul
You have nothing to fear

My dear
Please hang on
Through this one night
Hang on for one more year

Flaws
Thank you
I'll say
For pointing out my flaws

Its not as though
Every day
I look in the mirror and see them

It's not as though
In every way
I wish they didn't exist

It's not as though
I'm not okay
That fine is not what it seems

It's not as though
People will think what they may
And I'll ignore it for the rest of my life
