Normal?
What does it mean to be normal?

What is normal?
Normal to you, may not be normal to me.

From the life of the simple,
Formal, may not be normal.

From the views of the formal,
Simple may be looked down upon,
Frowned upon.

Judging one another based on normality,
A life created on formalities,
Complications, Discrimination.
All because of our definition of normal?

Definition of
normal-
           1.  conforming to a standard; usual,          typical, or expected.

"Usual?", "Expected?", "Typical?".
Hypocritical!

Normal?
Does it even exist?
Why do we persist- to have our definitions of what normal is?
And what it isn't?

Normal-
**What is it?
Everyone is different. That Is the beauty of life. Though the beliefs of normality in some people lead to discrimination,  bullying, war etc.
Light blue swirls,
In an ocean deep.

We laugh,
We desire,
We weep.

Shards of grass, emerald green,
Seeping through a mirage of brown.

We dare,
We smile,
We frown.

A sky of vivid blue,
Breaking through the clouds of grey.

We hope,
We bicker,
We prey.

Amongst all of the above--
The nature
          of
**Love
Change is changing - the changes that we made.
No time for abiding by Human Rights,
When it means someone isn't getting paid.
Very short poem based on the deviousness of the hierarchy in Leadership and Governments.

Rockie
I'm here
Watching you fix your tie
With the grace of a clumsy seal
Who got drunk
On the verge of tomorrow
And the brink of today

I'm here
Watching you stride out
With the hopefulness of a child at Christmas
Who won't go to sleep
For Santa will arrive
At midnight

I'm here
Watching you speak to the crowd
With the confidence of a frightened duckling
Who were recently hatched
Out of an egg
And into the light
I am watching,
watching here
alone tonight,
watching as
The clouds float
by, and the night
goes whispering
past.

Watching you, asleep tonight.
I write this in a room of sleepers, and I cannot help but wonder, what they dream, this fine tonight.

Rockie
Planes crashing
Towers exploding
News covering
Tears forming
Men falling
Videos created
Uprise roaring
The whole world
Watches
Waits
In baited breath
Death all around
It started with a hijacking
Or maybe a bit before
But we are resilient
Brave
*We shall NOT be brought down screaming
I am currently studying a poem based of off 9/11 and formed this in my head while reading it. Although it doesn't quite capture the true emotion by this particular event, I hope it gets that across.
I watch myself
watch myself
watching their dance,
my action is actioned
by panel and plan

Significant thought
to trivial task,
I find myself missing
that which I've hatched

Impromptu I can do,
in scrutinies stare,
replayed ad infinitum
pretend I don't care

When waiting has waited
and I dare to break free,
will the watcher be waiting
or will I be free?
1000 nights of you
500 days without you
It only took one day to fall in love with you.
Im glad I share it with you.
I love you.
When were your lyrics written into mine
And why...
Do they sound so good?

Like rain pattering off rooftops,
Or the powerful silence when the sun rises and you hear faintly
Birds singing.

You match me so well
That I finally realized
My souls song was never complete
Before you.

Our songwriter
Finally had made their masterpiece
And our notes will dance together
Making perfect harmony.

Our song will play on
For eternity
Until our hearts
Just decide to stop beating.
Love is beautiful. I could imagine our song forever.
How do you explain
to people
who ask "what's wrong"
when really
it's nothing,
but your own mind
that's the problem?
