You make my heart soar,
You make me feel sublime.
Marte Lindholm Oct 2016
Up I fly
Tears are streaming
I scowl down
On them I am leaving
The ones I trusted
That let me down
Finally it happens
I am past them
I soar
I fly
I am alone
But at the same time not

I look up to the mountains
where does my help come from?

sliding rocks, slithering snakes
Life's patches, wailing winds
thorns in my flesh
cliffs taunt my feet
Serpent hisses all the while

all I see is steep punishment
all I feel is lactic burn
the air thin
I have no fleshly kin
"carry me Eagle, fly me high!" I yearned
but Eagle responds echoeingly
"your footprints carried you all the way,
but through the Way you will have learned"

I look up to the sky
His words  lifted me
I look up to the sky
where does my help come from?

Eagle, how high now am thee?
gone is the Serpent
Eagle's cross shaped shadow sweeps over me
bright light above me
"well  done  my  faithful  servant"
said the Source where help cometh from

I soar on wings like Eagle,
lactic burn leaves my soul
I run and don't grow weary

I saw where help came from.

How could you ever love me to death?
What a morbid thought to think!

But if you ever attempt such a thing,
I'll love you back for being so crazy
because I'm kinda crazy,
and somewhere along all of that crazy,
well,
Perhaps I might die.

And even then,
I'll cry in my eternal sleep
Knowing one day you'll fall in love again
While I still love you
as the sky soars above you.
Nick Moser May 2016
If you see me fall, do not save me.

For I am learning to grow my wings again.

Because flying solo is the only thing I've ever experienced.

But if I see you fall, I will save you.

For you are hiding your wings from the world again.

But my world has never marveled at anything greater than your beauty.

You are a beautiful angel.
Flying ever so high.
And you don't want to soar too close to the ground,
For soon you will have to fly away,

Just like all the other angels.

And it's a miserable reality that I am here on the ground.
Way down here at the bottom.

And all I want is to be desperately saved.

Constant contemplation
Blind imagination
I've ben trying to make a transformation
Life only leading to frustration
Fighting threw felt pointless
The pain looking forward... Endless
Truly I thought
My gut all tied in knot
Truth was spoken
No longer will it be broken
A path to truth it seems
Push away the bad dreams
Next to be is free
I can live life being me
Wow what a concept
From what my mind had kept
Now my dreams come true
Mind free to do what it use to
No more torture
I can't wait for the future
Build a home
Travel to Rome
My mind can soar
Let out a roar
Finally me cause I can
Does it ever feel to be a new man

It's true what they say.
A gift is a curse.
A curse is a gift.
That curse is hers.
And her? That's me.
I'm her. 'That' She.
That girl, who's gifted.
Whose curse, has lifted,
her higher and higher
To the point I'm at now.
You look up and you say 'wow'
I'm flying here, upside down.
I don't think I'll ever ground.
What feels so wrong,
it feels so right.
I'll never leave this cloudy sight.
Not any day.
Not any night.
Try all you want.
Use all your might.
I'll stay right here.
I'm meant for this.
My heart is home.
My head's in bliss.
I've got a voice.
I'll yell it out.
You'll recognize it, in a crowd.
I'm all alone.
But I've got you all.
More than half of you hate me,
but I can't fall.
I'm here for the duration.
I'm a fixture, now.
Get used to me.
I'm never coming down

How sad it is that “all good things must come to an end”,
the idea that moments happen and then cease to exist is difficult to comprehend.
So go outdoors and watch the sunset, go to the beach and watch the tide recede,
sit down with your favourite book and begin to re-read,
take these evanescent moments and turn them to wonderful memories,
with a heart full of belief and reverie.
All safe in the knowledge that the circle of life will return once more,
in future fleeting moments, when we need it most; and knowing once again you will soar.
