No-one knows how fragile you are until you dance in the rain.

Eternity promised me a moment,
             but forgot the time..

I was just a passing thought,

                                                forgotten...

her teeth chattered
as the frigid wind
surrounded her.
he traced her wrists,
then held her hands.
her teeth fell silent
as his eyes met hers.
in that moment,
she knew he would stay
even during the winter.
#escapril day 21!

When the sky changes its colors
Red, rose, orange, yellow inclining light to dark blue
It covers all our busy life and sends a sign
Introducing a slide to another world

Reserved only
Once a day

So at every time
Until the last day of my life
I will just let myself plunge
When encountering this sight
Amanda Kay Burke Apr 2020
Every time I attempt to change
Find myself somehow stuck
A period of indecision
Or pit of endless bad luck

Temptation is a persistent *******
Keeping on a high ledge
Put a stick in my moving spokes
Taking away the edge

Medicine will not let me run too far
Invading corners of my mind
Coerced into staying here
Relief I only briefly find

I saw a future temporarily
Moment quickly burned out
Was making steady progress
Turned around and went a different route
About relapsing

I accept
Your judgement of me
As true
In your view
And
Let it wash over
As a spring drizzle

For you, me
And all creation
Thoughts, views, emotions
Are just that

A drizzle
Star dust
Fleeting fragrance
Light feather
Seeking and living
Unbeknownst
To even ourselves
In the sweet embrace
Of love
Krishnapriya Apr 2020
I seek
Purity
Simplicity
Of my heart
My very Being

She smiles at me
As flowers
Calls me
With bird song
Cries with me
As raindrops
Hides from me
As rainbows

"I am as you
Everywhere
And always,"
She whispers
In love, as love
Forever

Pure
Simple
Still
Being

Do we need to label?
Our Love?
As
Pure-sinful
Attachment-Detachment
True-impermanent

Do we need to label?
Our life?
As
worthless-glorious
success-failure

Do we need to label ourselves?
As
brilliant-mediocre
skillful-simple
Saint-Sinner

Do we need more labels?
More boxes?
More theories and analysis?

Or
Do we need
this moment
A hand to hold
A song to sing
A bird to watch
A smile
A breath

Love in our life
Gratitude for all blessings
A knowing
That we are held
In the embrace of eternity

A child of sweetness
All is well
In the magical plan
Of the universe
In tender love
sitting across from me
was you and your big smile,
the way your eyes would squint as we were
laughing about the different oreo flavors
watching you pull out packs and packs of them
eagerly from your backpack
dunking it in a purple shake -- the sweet taste
of ube and the little pearls sitting at the bottom,
our table filled and soon our stomachs,
the steam of freshly cooked rice and the sizzle of pork sisig,
the clanking of the utensils and the sound of the conversations
you started,

i can hear it all in my head.

a scene that almost played out but didn't,
a moment i wish took place,
excitement was now a shade of dark blue
and the plans we've made turned into dust.

i wish i've known what was going on inside your head
and here I am talking to you in mine
whispering for you to come home
but you are.
a humble, humorous, sweet and thoughtful young man. a year hasn't even gone by and you were one of the many blessings i received in 2019. i keep thinking about how i should've messaged you that day and how i should've told you i cared. until we meet again, J.
