People dazing off in despair
You can feel tiredness in the air
You just want to go back to bed
So you put down your head
You just want to get some good sleep
Lying there in a disheveled heap.

Then it comes to the test
You don't know what's on it
But you'll do your best

You stayed up late last night
Trying to do all your homework right
Now you're just sitting in first hour
Wishing that you were in the shower.

You want to sleep but you want an A
Your sleepy self will have to conquer the day.
This whole process isn't a blast,
But these last few years of Hugh School are your last.
Hailey Hernandez Nov 2014
It's either
you stay up until 2 am
allowing your mind to twist and turn
allowing the loneliness,
the darkness
to take over

Or you lay down at 7 pm
and you sleep
for hours continuously
until you wake up
at 2 am
only to drown in your own sorrow
again

And I can't figure out which is worse
So I'll just sleep.

Never had i though happiness
Was the medicine i needed all along
Never had i though that
Listening to your voice would be my song
Never did i think i would
Lay and cry staying here for hours
I just wanted to be the guy
That goes to work bringing back bacon and flowers
Never did i once consider the word love
Could be something far more then great
Its a bruning feeling of all this emotions
Even just a little bit of hate
This thoughts are beyond
what i could of ever faced
Howevere it truns out
My mind and person well be amazed
Eleanor Rigby Nov 2014
No one can tell
The hour
Or the day
You will never see them
Again.

So love them,
Just love them
While you have the time.

The setting was a back country road
The script was minimal
Descriptions mostly
It was us two
Acting mostly with our eyes and smiles
Actors don't know how to act with their eyes
Anymore
The natural light of the sun
Illuminated you in the most majestic
of ways
The whole day was magic hour
And few get to act with their muse
Waiting for the hour
I look in expectation
For when you arrive.

Today I was excited and optimistic
Not knowing what lay ahead
But that faded in the heat of the sun

I was then left with that all to familiar
Empty, soul wrenching feeling
I am alone, coming up to the lonely hour
Eleanor Rigby Sep 2014
In two hours
I will be happy
For an hour.
But in three
I will get back
To being
Unhappy.
