We Just Need One More
To Be Inches From Immortality

I plug in the
vacuum cleaner
to **** it up
and see
if it disappears
into a bag
that holds
everything
that is black
and blue.

Times that i spent , lies that I've heard,
ain't nothing like this,
purpose in mind , got it from the dirt,
don't know if  I'll have kids,
walking with you, all the way home,
I'm just trying to make it,
lines are being crossed , time is wasting,
got a feel for it,
I just don't need your assist , blocking out my happiness,
cause I'm just saying that your feelings are solid , precipice,
lies , lies , lies,
lies , lies , lies,
I can't help knowing that fact , but the time flies by.

don't need your assist,
really ! this is it?
are we really in the end times or is this it,
where'd your father go?
did your pride take off?
all the friends you know are fake,
gotta shake it off,
serve nothing interracial,
date your own race,
get on your own two feet and get back in the race.

You said we'd be
All the things we could've been
I said we could've been
All the things we should be
But in the end...
You were not mine to have
And I wasn't yours to hold
   So this our beginning
A friendship hurting both
To poetry I give my words I couldn't say

I want to hold your hand and never let go
I want to kiss and cuddle and talk
I want to make dinner with you even though I don’t know how to cook
I want to hold you in your worst and in your best
I want to dance through the night in your arms even though I’m scared to dance
I want you to kiss the back of my hands and catch the tears on my cheeks
I want all those late night talks and all the ‘I Love You’s
I want to argue with you about who hangs up first on the phone
I want to count the stars with you and form our own constellations

I want to know all of this
about us
Petrichor Jun 2018
You never held my hand too tight,
and i always wondered if it were
to not hurt me.

silly me,
why hold onto someone tight,
when you know you're going to let them
go.
If you say you loved me why'd you let go?

Like black and white keys on a piano
They fit like hand to glove
Darkness strengthens the light
And the light contrasts the dark
To play a song on the ivory key only...would be unlikely
To only play your song on the ebony key may start to sound out of tune
Therefore play your life song on both the ebony and the ivory keys
And you shall find a melody
Your life song of harmony
For there is darkness in the light
It makes the light shine brighter
And there is always a light in the dark

i was holding the rifle
the way i was holding your hands ,

and they were still hot —

so hot that
now
we are calloused ,
-
love beat me
and then i beat you —

our
hands were burned together .
.
but you smiled ,
                           and
i was the one who cried
                                         instead.

one day, someone will kiss
my scars .

someone should kiss yours, too.

the recoil will always sting ,
and i will always
bruise.

BIG ******* S/O TO MY EX!! he’s been so ******* kind to me and deserves so much in life. It ***** that I can’t give it to him but he’s one of the kindest people I know. I was snooping through my friends blog and I found her poetry, and got The title from a line I read in one of them. I love that friend too!
