I wish I could fly

Up to the sky

So that when I cry

My tears and my pain

Will blend with the rain

Then no one will know

I’m dying so slow

I’ll lie on a cloud

And fade away.
Kain O' Stella Nov 2014
People suspended in time
moment passing by
life before our eyes
but disguised in our minds
as memories fade and die
one breath away from death
in every step but the rest
that we leave behind

this life is short
and grows shorter
with time
The curse of the Night Walker
Ones who sought the traces of darkness
Of world and of soul
We see through the shades
We know the blindness
Some may be born
Some may be dragged
We know this darkness
Better than most

Daylight ignores us
Cruelty cages us
Even if we break free
It never changes

Day Walkers say they feel
Sorrow and doubt
When the Night Walker fades
When most never knew what made us
They pay a few kind words
Then walk

Day Walkers find it easy
To move away from darkness
Thinking candle light is enough
To light the path
When their flame is easy to extinguish

Flowers pelt the fallen's final rest
When petals wither
Never do Day Walkers
Have the burden of the souls
Which still linger
When the Day Walkers are blind
To the flickers of light the soul that still remain

The curse of the Night Walker
Is that we know too well
The sight of a lingering soul
Bound to a world
Where daylight seeks to hide us
Rather than shelter us

The curse of the Night Walker
Is that we hear
The shadows that continue to scream
To the horrors they felt
When they cast the form in which they became

The blessing of the Night Walker
Is that we also see
The distant stars in the sky
In which few of us see
As the destiny of the Night Walker
So we may guide others to the light
you were a storm--
whirling and whistling and...
well, everything and anything
all at once

and I was caught unprepared.

though they feared your wrath
panicking and praying and...
perhaps, everything and anything
all at once

but I paid them no mind.

violently tearing that dotted line separating
making believe and messing up and
maybe, everything and anything
all at once

or what I thought I feared.

when the winds have faded
when the waters have evaporated
when the smoke clouds have cleared
all at once
I realize finally that

the calm and the quiet and the peace and
well, all of it
was what I truly feared

hush, little baby
dont fade away
i will be back
again someday

hush, little baby
dont you cry
i will be here
when you fall
before you fly

please, little baby
dont fade away
i still love you
forever and always

She's painted the most beautiful portraits of life.
Where a bird's song is the only drug,
Dry leaves crunching the only violence.
Love is the only wildfire,
And she is the spark.
The only problem is:
I'm not in that portrait.

But it was not always that way.
I accompanied her in that portrait,
the Robin to her Batman,
the yin to her yang,
the boom to her bang.
I was painted over and replaced.

Because after all,
all paint fades.
Hi all, I really liked this poem although it isn't long.
Please leave feedback to help further pieces or tell me areas of strength.
Thanks for reading!

Pain
    Might lessen
         Over
              time

But
       The memories
            Never
                 Fade

~

Leaves are turning
slow but sure
losing their grip
all their chapters closing

Can’t help feeling
this was how
we faded too

But
there is always spring

The evidence
of the end
isn’t always true

I'm afraid I'll end up living a small life,
in a small place,
and my small dreams
are just what remain.
That when I'm decaying somewhere
far underground and returning
to where I began
All I'll be is a small memory
in just another brain.
The words I've scribbled (or typed)
will all be long gone.
the people I made smile
will be all far away.
I'm afraid of when
my small spirit starts to fade.
I am just sad and hopeless. -.-
