Holding onto my wine glass tight
He was dancing with her tonight
His gaze locked onto mine
But in his arms was another shine
My thoughts cursed him of his arrogance
Such a user of beauty and innocence
"That's it!! I can't take this any longer"
For what I thought of my love being stronger
It was nothing then a lustful devil in disguise
Coordinating thoughts, playing his game wise
As I turned to go, he grabbed me by my waist
And on the dance floor showed his delicate taste
I was his that's what he whispered in my ears
Leaning over to brush off my tears
Held me tight as if I was running away
I still remember his words until today
He fulfilled his promises and made me his
We are blessed with two beautiful kids
As I wait his flight arrival at this airport
Smiling away, remembering those days we fought
Everytime letting me win with the charms he bought
We got tied into a knot on this very day
Time just few and its our twentieth anniversary today...

If you are with him
And you make him glad
Then never let go
Of what I never had.

Sometimes you just miss her, don’t you?
not the way you normally miss someone,
No.

But in the way that the sky misses the sun,
when she leaves for the night.
when all light is gone,
and all that’s left is darkness once again.

She fell into your arms, didn’t she?
like water down the drain,
she washed away the mess and left greatness,
clear as day.

So, you held on to her, didn’t you?
like a father does a son,
but conflict rose, and thorns grew,
stealing away the petals,
as they fell to the ground.

You couldn’t hold onto her, could you?
not in the way a blacksmith can’t hold a flame,
but in the way the stars can’t hold onto the night,
coz someday, she will come back again.

tear upon the climbing highs,
rip-- bring up the 'cending lows.

this is living in your fears.

drinking through the breaking points,
a mind full of troubled pints,
there's a story within this glass,
a tale within her eyes.

hear the tale of broken glass,
beautiful in the moonlight,
like crackling indifference 'gainst
hope's warm embers of light.

claim the territory of her pain,
a force like soul-fallen rain
all in vain-- all in vain.

as she is...
she once was...

so shall she be.

so there is hope!
as once she was--

no! you cannot see?
the tale within her eyes?
the story within the glass?

so shall the rain fall,
pins and needles
pins and needles.

so shall the numbness grow.
novicane and empty bottles,
moonlight. tears.

all in vain: novicane.
all in vain: careful rain.

was she? the glass of my life?
shall she be? a tale of shattered moonshine?
am I the story, beautiful in fractured embers:
crackling indifference to hope?

so shall she be, it seems.
so shall I be in dreams:
again, under tearing seams.
broken. moonlit glassing gleams.

pain.
rain.

pins and needles.

to me love is like a rose garden
you walk down each row
admiring the individuality of each
every rose is beautiful
like love
they say not to pick the roses
what is everyone picked them
meant to be admired not touched
i am guilty of picking the roses
they sit in a vase in my room
i seem to pick the roses that remind me much of myself
usually delicate and light
not classic
yellow
light pink
you used to give me light pink
you knew who i was
delegate
not fulled bloomed
but exotic and beautiful
love is a rose garden
i want my own.

You tell me you don't want a relationship
I'm okay with that
If you don't want a relationship why do you treat me as if we're dating?
You tell me you love me
You tell me good morning, good night
We talk on the phone for hours on a daily basis
You get jealous if another guy flirts with me
You want to meet my parents
But when I ask why you're acting like this you just change the subject
You are giving me mixed signals
Messing with my emotions
You had a dream we were dating and you said you liked it
But you don't want a relationship
What are we doing anymore?
Maybe you're scared I'll hurt you like the other girls?
Maybe I'm just overthinking?
I can't handle these mixed signals...

He
He comes out only when he's waiting for you. He has many admirers, but you're the one he chose. You are his brightest star, and the reason why he shines so brightly. When you left, however, he split in two and hasn’t been the same since then. The sky remains in perpetual darkness; only your return can make him whole again.

You had fallen so deep in love with her that she could see right through you, why did you close the doors on love? The moment you left she missed your presence. It was then she knew that she had fallen for you. Your love was intoxicating and lethal. You ignited a spark within her and now the flames burn.

There´s a man in my life
who with one glance
becomes commander of my will
and master of my thoughts.
My heart yearns his care,
my curves crave his hands.

However an endless void
rips trough my dream:

He doesn’t love me.

I go to him whenever he calls;
no matter the time, even when night falls.
After untangling sheets, we embrace into each other
staring into each other's eyes
until we drift into our own minds.

But he doesn't want me.

We wake up next to each other.
His smile is my warm morning sun
Yet when I manage to break his spell
and make my mind my own again
he can't wait to try to lure me back in.

Yet he says wants to be alone.

He calls and worries,
making sure I'm shielded from harm.
He couldn't stand if fatality struck,
and can't wait for me to be back
in the safety of his blessed arms;

But he wants to not care.

His eyes are yelling with his stare
that his soul is in line with mine,
that his thoughts belong to me.
When he holds me, he doesn’t let go.
With every kiss, we are nowhere and everywhere.
I am his and he is mine.

However, an endless void
rips trough my dream:

He doesn’t know he loves me.

You are a diamond
Shiny and bright
So appealing and desirable
So easy to adore.

You are a diamond
Superficial and cruel
So awful and wicked
So easy to loathe.

You are a diamond
Unfeeling and vain
So hard and slicing
So easy to die for.

You are a diamond
Sharp and poison
So black widow
So easy to fall for.

You are diamond
Colder than purest ice
You are a diamond
So evil and so nice.

You are a diamond
So many faces
Always working your angles
Acting transparent.

You are a diamond
So many colors
Always talking cuts
Acting strong.

You are a diamond
So many victims
Always roaming round
Acting perfect.

You are a diamond
So indifferent
Always in a bubble
Acting obnoxious.

You are a diamond
Enemy allied
You are a diamond
Always on the mind.

You are a diamond
Inescapably bound and tied
You are a diamond
Forever yet never just mine.

You are a diamond-
My diamond now.

Secretly bending glimpses,
When pine and survey align
In tortuous accord –
Reflections of you,
Are not enough
Drew Barrie;
To insulate my heart
From the cleft between us.
Perennials, the color of
Periwinkle,
The smell of rain
And crayons
Return you to me,
Lend presence, vestiges,
Invoke
The gift of you,
Fortify my resolve
To one day reunite.

Numbness and ache,
Lavish tears set
Against the
Unimpeachable light,
Held in the glint in your eyes
Unequivocally green,
Each blink evokes allure,
Found in
A blushing smile -
Little one,
I observe in quiet
Adoration, amid
Our segregation,
Ardor undiminished,
Prayers give permanence
Uttered in a pause
Each
Breath drawn;
Ephemeral visions, alive,
Ballads and rhyme
Memories aflame, occupy
A sacred canopy,
Internal; profoundly
Savored
Never to erase.

Searching for treasure,
Collecting prized sand
And stone,
Your pockets, heavy
With plunder.

Somber tones fill
Gaps in our history,
Find new contrast,
Certain hues
Oscillating shades of gray
Stirring cues
Dearth of winter blue.
Trees bare, secluded,
Known in the bones,
This crisp boreal air —
February.
Moisture absent,
Like a father's words
Laconic;
Your irreducible gaze,
In the
Opaque imagination.

Oddly arid season,
Aloof precipitation,
The will of the wind
Indefatigable,
Sonnets of euphony, leave me
Undone,
Permit me to grieve,
Another year - gone.
Nervous Squirrels, sedentary
And quiet,
As if to mourn with me,
I miss my daughter.

The spring equinox,
Poised pavilion blended
Unfolds in bloom,
Elucidating
The approaching day
Of your birth.

Stunning you were,
Your prominent
Entry into creation,
Tiny noises,
Nestled and snug.
Reach
My effusive heart.
You are here,
Equipped with an
Absorbing mind
Wrapped,
Perfectly
Designed, in a petite
Fashioned frame.

Emotions, elastic -
Diffuse and Compress,
In distance friction
Attenuates,
Time and eternity
Extend to the periphery,
Agony
Absorbed into Zoe.
Grace and peace wash
Ashore, rinsing
Poetry pure;
Cleansing, with surprise
And vigor
Recall the loftiest
Of tokens.

I too
Encountered
An esteemed rock,
Smooth and orbed,
Summoning
Long thoughts,
My citadel made
Of three,
Uniquely ensconced
Inside -
Priceless gems,
Sustain me.

Enclaves of privilege
Gratified each vacant
Mirror,
Until notes and
Words gather to form
Your story,
Emergent,
The world shifts,
Altered anew.
Resurrection,
Simile to
Our reconciliation
Visceral and singular,
Exuberant teardrops
Flood, fall deeply
Approximating mercy,
Severe, sudden as
The April freshet.

In the lavender garden.

Is it written on my face?
The pain I feel inside
Tonight, my heart is joyless
I can feel the broken pieces
As they throb inside my chest
This loveless life I lead

I am a poet working overtime
Like the misery inside of me
Like the lunacy that calls to me
To the angel who stalks my every dream
Please take the time to rescue me

For my shredded soul is fading
Darkness overtaking
The burden of my sorrow
No clear skies tomorrow

Angel can you hear me?
I'm sinking deeper in dismay
Eyes becoming jaded
I'm growing tired of fighting

Hold me in your arms
Show me that there's more to life
More than endless heartache
Embrace me with your ethereal flesh
And know I'll feel the same

For this soul is yours to take
What's left of me
This empty tank
This broken tragedy

And when I fall into your arms
Legs too tired to stand
Know my love is true
And help me to move forward
