Trauma
Toni Jun 2020
I know
There’s no demon
In the tub
But I’ll still
Pull back
the Curtain
Therapy has been a very scary, but very real growing process. Learning to love and trust myself. Learning that my childhood trauma is not my fault.

No man’s land
Toni Feb 2020
I often dream of a place
Far from home
Deep in the woods
I’m sure you know.
Away from the people
The buildings
The noise
Where the witches dance
And the fae rejoice
In their absence.
I can’t keep the woods out of my head, I just want to dance under the moon and laze away my days in grassy knolls.

Where is she?
Toni Feb 2020
The sweet crush of grass
Coupled with
The crunch of autumn leaves
And snow beneath my boots
My ears crave Earth
Sometimes, I yearn for the soft greens of spring, but there’s also the harsh yellows of summer, and the bursting red of autumn, and the subtle, bright whites of Winter. It turns out, I just miss being close to Earth.

My lover is my muse
Toni Feb 2020
His skin glows with warmth

The sun trapped just beneath the surface

His eyes ablaze with love

His stride filled with purpose.
I’m very blessed to be in such a happy, healthy relationship now. Nearly 2 years. ♥️

Cold Showers
Toni Jun 2019
I know I should be sad at the thought of what we had being washed away,
But a clean slate doesn’t sound too bad
And I brought my umbrella anyway.

What do you say?
This year has been very transitional, and mindfulness has been a constant theme.

Here and Now
Toni Feb 2019
If you dwell
On the things you
WISH
You were doing

The things you
ARE
Doing
Will never be
Enough.
It’s time to romanticize your own life. Everything you do, from your morning stretch to your brew of tea is exciting.

Barefoot Witch
Toni Jan 2019
We were born to make merry,

Build towering bonfires,

Blow smoke rings with pipes,

Weave crowns of wild flowers.
It was tough to pick a title for this one, I had so many in mind.
I often write about being lost in the wonders of Mother Nature, I wish I could indulge this more.

Here to Stay
Toni Jan 2019
There’s nothing quite like

Strong arms that shield you

And pull you in tight

To make it feel true.
It’s been a long time, but these feelings are so familiar.

Merry Wanderer
Toni Jan 2019
A sea of lush trees and mountains sprout out from her eyes and tickle the fringes of her lashes.

Each golden curl to every fiery, auburn swirl of hair snaps with electricity, like firecrackers bursting against a dawn smeared sky.

Long, aristocratic fingers with smooth palms that she weaves through the air, accentuating her every word.

She walks, breathes, and laughs Magick.

I’d follow her over every fallen log in our overgrown fantasies. I’d swing over every stream, swim up every waterfall, and dance on our bare feet until our toes were full of twigs and stones.

I’d skip with her through the cosmos, my shining ray of sunlight.
Honestly, she’s one of the most ambitious, honest, genuine people on this plane of existence. I’d stay up until the wee hours of the morning with her, giggling, reading, playing Animal Crossing. She’s been my best friend for nearly 16 years and I love her with all my being.

Children of Danu
Toni Dec 2018
The cobbled stones, awash by moon
The drunken laddies that sip and swoon.
To gaze upon the midnight beaut
Would parish ones will to that of Newts.

Thus lady’s hair does fall much like
A waterfall of pure moonlight.
With eyes of jewel and crystal light
Sets ones soul ablaze and heart, bright.

With opulent lips, does she possess
Such voice of tinkling bells distress.
With wisps of silver at loves cheeks
Gold flecks do twinkle at brows peek.

To tame such beauty is hopeless venture
Too many a drunk lad, sweet and tender.
To gaze upon midnights supple dream
Is to be more than merely heard, but seen.
I’ve been reading so much about the Fae, their feet keep tapping their way through my head!

Warm milk
Toni Dec 2018
Soft, knit sweaters
And piping-hot tea
Make for very toasty weathers
And cozy times for me.
It’s time to be snug as a bug, my friends. ❄️

Origami Girl
Toni Dec 2018
I’m folded up
Paper thin
So pretty to see
But delicate, frail
Until you fold me up
Into what you want me to be
Again, and again
I wrote this piece a little while ago while I was feeling a bit cornered and indecisive. It is also the piece I submitted for my request to join, and I’m glad I get to be a part of this community now. Thank you for having me!
