"Savoured"
zody rose wang Jan 2014
The tragic sky,
Continues to intrude my every move.
Enveloping me in despair,
Luring me into darkness.
The gloomy buildings,
Stare me into terrible fright,
Judging me with furious anger.
The entire town is built upon claustrophobia,
Suffocating passersby.

yearn
zody rose wang Jan 2016
if there is ever a parallel universe,
i want to exist in serenity with you,
there and forever.
complete utopia,
devoid of all negativity,
my lust for you expands eternally.
i would sacrifice my cohesion,
my solidity,
my utter being,
to simply exist within your comfort.

First Tattoo

Ink, encrypted into my skin.
The skin of life, the feel of permanence.
A subtle radiance of black art speaks to me,
comforts me,
while nestles into the truth of my existence.
Life,
speaking to me,
through a tiny script delicately carved,
into the time-lapse of light.

DISSOLVING
zody rose wang Mar 2016
the floor is icier than the last time i crumbled down here. i'm enclosed within the walls of eerie silence, blackness all around me, enveloping my terror, releasing my pain. tears seem to find their own way down to the floor, first dancing with delight, then solidifying and morphing into dark crystals. what is more comforting than the fetal position? the escape that has been written repeatedly into my screenplay of a life.

we live in flames
zody rose wang Jan 2016
don’t be thrown into society’s wildfire,
along with the scrubs of existence,
that are deemed unworthy.
don’t be holding onto the ash of the past,
the scent of burnt reluctance signifies an end.
run from the smoke,
into the blistering sun,
into the pouring rain.
leave the toxins behind,
because the fire rages on,
unaffected by your escape.

ghost

stagnant, i look to the nightlife for temporary comfort,
gazing into the pseudo love,
into the vacant souls.
empty, i search for a piece of myself in passersby,
learning from their motions,
i steal fragments of truth.
lustful, i plead for the chance to unveil myself,
to present my skin, to be adored aggressively.
but i am floating,
my veins grey,
my eyes opaque,
my blood frozen.

FROM ME TO YOU
zody rose wang Mar 2016
i'm floating in surrealism,
satisfaction engulfing my bay of love.
my limbs are listening to me quietly,
contently,
liberated.
i speak my affection for you through delicious movement.
i simply flow like water,
you simply shine like the sun.

adored by you
zody rose wang Jan 2016
a synthetic wave of feelings,
you appear out of nowhere,
like a hologram.
i reach out to be adored by you,
but the virtual illusion creates a
retrospective,
a nostalgic thought,
perhaps a ponder.

WINTER
zody rose wang Mar 2016
i’m sitting in class, listening to the conventions of everyday noises, straining my neck to get in touch with the balance within that vanishes so easily. the snow is melting in my hair; the subtle coldness calms me, making it easier for the fantasia to settle. the thought of him continues to rush through me, and the euphoria tastes wonderful. he rests comfortably upon the greyness of my tired soul, so close and yet so far, but i guess that’s the allure of everlasting lust.

THE MOON
zody rose wang Aug 2016
please tell the moon that i miss her soft shadows.
please tell her that i am dying to bathe in her subtle rays.
please tell her to continue her resting patience -
that i would begin to admire her again,
when i am better, stronger, filled with determination.
please do not disrupt her beauty.
please cherish her,
     for me.

HUSHED
zody rose wang Apr 2016
we're sitting timidly across from each other,
the lights dimmed,
the energy lamenting.
i have nothing to say,
but i have so much love to give.
show me your velvet lust,
let me pour my silky sentiment all over you.
i'm waiting patiently,
for the appearance of total bliss,
but this attraction seems endless, baby,
like a vessel to the night sky.

speak,
my loves,
of your fury and disappointment.
chant,
my sweets,
a relatable rhetoric that touches deep.
sing,
dear warriors,
a tune that cries for safety
of the oppressed
of us
of the world around us.
fight,
in companionship.
as one.
for there is strength in numbers.
for there is power in truth.
i don't think i can ever forget yesterday.

you're outside screaming in the rain.
what a sweet display of annoying dissonance.

another day
zody rose wang Mar 2016
how can i taste you,
when the lingering lust clouds my vision,
blinding my ignorant emotions,
poisoning my tempered touch?
how can i have you,
when we are divided by the invisible line of national border,
swimming in helpless sentiment?
i dream of you
of memories yet to exist,
of kisses yet to transpire.
i hope you dream of me,
of my dissipated thoughts,
of my paralyzing vanity,
of my flourishing greed.

we have our alone time together,
the moon accompanies our tired smiles.
i sigh,
with the exhaustion of wanting you,
and you hear me through the phone.
i crave for your gentle caresses at work,
lust for your fiery passion before bed.
the essence of you is fused into my blood,
warm and tasteful.

Your tidal wave of tears crashed gently onto your lap,
Your breaths hazy, face swollen, and hands shaking violently.
I observed you with extreme pain,
Yet helpless.
Forgive my careless mistake,
For I did not understand the situation,
Clearly and thoroughly.
Forgive my rude negligence,
When you blatantly screamed for my aid with your longing eyes.
I stood there watching,
Watching you.
Your every muffled sob into your creased shirt,
Every lousy movement,
Along with your messy lemon blonde hair.
How could I use deception against you,
And comfort you with hurtful lies,
When you were more vulnerable than ever?
How could I assure you without knowing how
To persuade myself?
