"pegasus" poems
Today I feel light and free As my hair is caressed by the breeze Bright, beautiful, magical Today has promised and will fulfil Today, I rise in glory Like a Phoenix reborn from ashes Beautifully clothed in red satin sashes Glorious like Pegasus on Mount Olympus Today I rise, I soar in splendour As the day keeps unveiling all her grandeur Let the chains of yesterday break away! Today is here, I will not cling to yesterday!

TODAY
Alien among aliens, Fanning delicate fins to promenade A prim coquette and starchy cavalier Trimmed and tined in ossein finery, Sipping shrimp cocktails, dancing demure Circles before blushing coral courts, Holding hinds in groves of turtle grass Until the paisley bodies Bump bellies, and she imbues his pocket With inklings marooned in dreaming Pegasus.

I'm a little unicorn, Short and cute. Here in my magic horn, And here is my hoof. I like to drink my chocolate milk, And chew on silk. I **** evil wizards, And chase the lizards. Because I'm magic, Isn't my story tragic? I was left behind from the ark, And almost killed by a shark, (My evil nemesis) Until I met the pegasus, And flew back to modern day life, Only to see my cousins killed with knives, Oh what a world it is! How long was I gone? Can I forgive? ... No. **** EVERYONE WILL MY MAGIC HORN OF JUSTICE!"**

ride on pegasus
The Pegasus of white. Has undying beauty. With wings of flight, It is born free. With a origin unknown, Ethereal unseen. Under the waterfalls stones. With a powerful leap, The Pegasus flies. Soaring high above. It's roaring heights. None can tame thy beautiful, Thy precious winged creature. It will live on, In our hearts forever.

I took a slice of the moon and brought it to my lips ever so carefully Head heavy with thought, soul dripping with poetry The heart’s different phases of color painted upon every wall in my home Ever changing, raw art of emotion For a moment as I glance out the window, the breeze combing through my hair and the fresh smell of the night meeting my nose I begin to imagine stars dancing up in the vast sky, twirling around and breaking apart, some fading out to let the others shine Shooting across the sky to emphasize their passion of the night Crickets watching and singing their songs to one another, a language only they share Humans wishing upon the stars from their homes, secrets floating around within their minds, never to be uttered I smile and place the slice of the moon in my mouth as if it’s a sacred fruit I close my eyes.. and lo and behold! It’s so powerful, I am unsure if I am merely dreaming this magic So many stars and even angels, all dancing together as if in an orchestrated play I dance with them, twirling around graciously in sequences that were prior unbeknownst to me I laugh in such a beautiful and unearthly manner, my voice light and airy like the angels A large crowd of stars group together to form the constellation of a Pegasus, twinkling and sparkling ever so bright with a certain sense of mystery I waste no time to hop on and am carried across this seemingly never ending canvass Until I am slowly brought down to a cloud Softer than a feather, softer than the fur of a kitten Similar to the first embrace of a mother, invoking a deep sensation of deja vu I sigh with comfort and from there I soon fall, as the stars abruptly yet softly alert me with kind smiles that it is time to go The sun is rising, a single tear slips from my eye as I awaken Already grieving and wishing to return But maybe tonight, I’ll find another slice of the wondrous moon And live it all again, as a true child of the sky and the heavens

“Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light. I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.” I don the belt of old Orion and sit atop the great winged Pegasus. I steal riches from cunning Copernicus and sing ballads to the lonely new moon. Look there - my bride! Oh fair Andromeda; She bears our band fashioned from Saturn’s rings. Her dress woven from strands of silk stardust, we read our vows to the watching planets and kiss under the sun’s jealous blaze. Starstruck, we ride, comets trailing in our wake.

Starstruck (Inspired by The Old Astronomer by Sarah Williams)
Neurons  passing  the Cosmic Sting , Structure  Cerebral Station  in space .... Each of her rhythmic string symphonies love ballet ,   Heart stops bleeding hearing the tune........ Distance force brain  sent neurotransmitters , Thus fading away all their emotions . Sweet memories lost in camouflage . Separated bodies failed to collide into one soul ... Love beyond time,  her dopamine creates bond to reactive , And his burning soul reenergized,  formed into pure gold, shaped into a  ring  , with a pink diamond as her passion holding in the middle. The beams of light,  shines through her eyes showing right direction , Her every breathe flowing his pegasus through galaxies from several  light years , reaching the ultimate destiny,  the heart of his lost soulmate......

Rhyme, the rack of finest wits, That expresseth but by fits True conceit, Spoiling senses of their treasure, Cozening judgment with a measure, But false weight; Wresting words from their true calling, Propping verse for fear of falling To the ground; Jointing syllabes, drowning letters, Fast'ning vowels as with fetters They were bound! Soon as lazy thou wert known, All good poetry hence was flown, And art banish'd. For a thousand years together All Parnassus' green did wither, And wit vanish'd. Pegasus did fly away, At the wells no Muse did stay, But bewail'd So to see the fountain dry, And Apollo's music die, All light failed! Starveling rhymes did fill the stage; Not a poet in an age Worth crowning; Not a work deserving bays, Not a line deserving praise, Pallas frowning; Greek was free from rhyme's infection, Happy Greek by this protection Was not spoiled. Whilst the Latin, queen of tongues, Is not yet free from rhyme's wrongs, But rests foiled. Scarce the hill again doth flourish, Scarce the world a wit doth nourish To restore Phœbus to his crown again, And the Muses to their brain, As before. ****** languages that want Words and sweetness, and be scant Of true measure, Tyrant rhyme hath so abused, That they long since have refused Other cæsure. He that first invented thee, May his joints tormented be, Cramp'd forever. Still may syllabes jar with time, Still may reason war with rhyme, Resting never. May his sense when it would meet The cold tumor in his feet, Grow unsounder; And his title be long fool, That in rearing such a school Was the founder.

Dead of night just as rehearsed so many times o'er England's green fields D Company, show no fear A band of brothers flying high Families waiting, home fires burning Hoping to see their brave men once more Gliders silent, Deadstick begins Pegasus and the Sword await their fates Take bridge and beach at any cost Enemy waiting, will not go gently They must be ours Must be taken Battle hard, blood is spilt Both sides lose good friends, brothers Success is ours but at a price But we all know freedom is The most precious thing we have Pegasus Bridge, Sword Beach, just 2 of many places etched on our memories today It all began here, liberation 70 years ago this very night Brave young men Strong and true We give our thanks, god bless them all

PEGASUS AND THE SWORD
Someday I'll show you, I'll prove I'm not just some useless ****** who needs to borrow your car, mom. Someday you'll see I'm not just a brainless pothead gettin stoned in the backyard I'll take these working arms And buy my own **** car And some drugs on the side Smoke *** in my own ride Trip out in my own backyard Just wait and see I'll go far I know you're confused and I know you don't see But I figured out which lock goes to which key. I know you're worried But, baby, there's no danger I figured out the universe, So life is now a treasure I want you to stop worrying that I'm smoking cigarettes I think those things are nasty If you don't know that yet Just stop worrying, stop spazzing I promise I'll keep the noise down And soon I'll find my own place That I can be loud in Don't you worry my dear, My mind is clear, my thoughts are holy This smoke helps my depression, Helps spark my inspiration So don't worry, ma'am I'll stop livin' in your basement And I promise I'll share my riches When I stop trippin', starin' at the wall Cause that's all I'm doin' There ain't no harm at all Everything is just as it should be I'm happy I'm finally free, Only light around me So don't worry mom, and I'm sorry I keep you up So late at night

Dear Pegasus,
"Hey good lookin' can I buy you a drink?" A Shakespearean muse cannot alas venture forth upon the fragrance of allure *** Are you high?" Love is my intoxication and thus I've become an 18th century daffodil who shall remain chaste and true "Dude! You got to hear this whack chick over here. Offer her a drink" "Hey gorgeous... let me buy you a round! What are you drinking?" I drink from the wine of discretion and allow its strength to escort me on as a golden fleece protecting virtue, honor and consequence "HOLY **** Dude! You weren't kidding. This chick is out there!" "Hey Aphrodite... but why are you out alone with all your friends? Where's Zeus or whoever? He rides the wings of Pegasus looking for our land of plenty while his heart resides next to mine in a dance of promise and expectation "Well if it was me I'd be right here because I'd never leave you alone" The heart cannot be bound by another; it must be allowed to roam free in the wilds testing it's will and only then can one know if love is fleeting or everlasting **** babe, whatever you're on I want a case...." Search your heart for your true self; it is not an acquisition but a dormant flower waiting for you to shed your false notions of manhood and prideful restraint "Ohhh kaaayyy." Good luck with that sweetie... I think my friends are leaving." The hard part is to say it with a straight face....

A Woman's Guide to Rejecting a Lounge Lizard
Listen to your secret rainbows, No time for needless angst and woe, There's a small Pegasus on your shoulder this day, You've got to make the most of every day, Listen to the rainbow in our hearts, Even though we're together but apart, Love comes in different shapes and sizes, Any day in our lives can bring us surprises, No time for needless angst and woe, Listen to your secret rainbows!

SECRET RAINBOWS
Out on the path, I wait for her my friend who’s just for me. We play and sing and laugh a lot, though no-one else can see. You call her imaginary, but she’s real and best of all, she’s made a solemn promise to be here when I call. My mum says she’s not really there, though the truth is mum don’t know the fun me and my friend have had or the places that we go. We get lost in the forest and fly up to the stars, then sit upon the rooftops throwing jelly beans at cars. We’ve dug up buried treasure and stared Blackbeard in the face. And we’ve ridden Pegasus to see the earth from space. If you think I may be fibbing, I’ll tell you it’s no lie - to say we’ve seen most everything, my secret friend and I. But now the time is ticking, she’s never usually late. But here I am still waiting sitting by the gate. I feel the world revolving as seasons come and go. I never thought she wouldn’t come, but perhaps I finally know. That secret friends are mortal and don’t last forever, but I’m quite sure I won’t forget the times we spent together. I think I hear the clock indoors chiming half past four. The day has almost passed without her, I’m not so little anymore. But, just as I turn to go inside, I hear the squeaking gate “I’m so sorry,” my friend cries “I didn’t mean to be this late”! The world turns again to greet the moon and my friend and I shall roam, weaving in and out of dreams making memories our own. So, grown-ups if you’re finding, modern life hard to survive, wait a while, by the gate you never know who may arrive. Though you may not have seen them for about a hundred years, secret friends remain with us and help allay our fears that we all grow old and crinkly and forget how to dance and laugh just have a little patience and pause there on the path.

*Their voices echo along the threads of time I read their works on tattered pages They say their words did but rhyme Their's were for inspiration, not wages They told stories like real witnesses Of agonizing times and sicknesses The soldiers of their sweet narrations They say rode on horses of generations Triumphant over the trend, glorious Shooting arrows past lineages, like warriors They fought against pride and Prejudice Across boundaries, winged like Pegasus They flew to bring merit of words and lines And stood the test of time like wild pines   They used sharp words instead of swords Only received rejection ,sometimes nods Walked long distances, endured perspiration Sleepless ,so to cultivate some inspiration They were young but with mature souls Their relentless effort vividly like Moles Burrowed through even hardened hearts And with needles of kindness stitched cuts Finely weaved justice on paper like Mats And spread it for the world, across all parts When speech was hated and persecuted They stood strong and instead recruited The course of changes threatened to slay Erosion corroded letters worse than clay Their beautiful hearts where kindness lay Were battered and butchered causing hope to decay A season came when all was but a lost cause And were tales of how once upon a time it was Yet again like a phoenix someday they rose From the ashes of history, how? Nobody knows They were stronger and mightier than mortals And travelled through un fathomed portals They built a very powerful mental kingdom Above the prestigious tower of wisdom Where they reigned like the fires on doom at Mordor Freed so many prisoners of their situations Across the entire universe and her nations Gave them keys so they unlock more doors Stanzas crawled like maggots across all avenues With mixed feelings the world received the news Though were skewed to embracing the return Because for once they saw a flame of peace burn Their tears were wiped by every piece they read Poets let them realize war wasn't only in their head Reason flowed like waters in fountains and streams Readers believed once again in their dreams And like poetry and poets they didn't sit back and cry Every poem they read, sad or not told them to get up and try And when they finally got victory over their inner strife Not even once did they forget poems changed their life*

Most people grow gardens with flowers and peas. But I am not most people. My garden is rather unique. Come quickly outside if you dare take a peek. Follow me out the door but don't be too hasty I will return you here looking awfully pasty. Into the woods we go with a feeling of unease remind yourself you may turn 'round if you please. You wear an expression of bravery plastered to  your face I'll warn you that is entirely out of place. My garden lies far, far away The entrance: this long narrow path Upon return I suggest a nice lukewarm bath. We march on silently Straight to my clearing Where all that dwells is hardly endearing. We arrive at gates I push them wide open and glance at your face, the expression most potent. You stare out at my garden Your weary eyes cautious Searching for normality with obvious malice. There is nothing of that sort to be found here. So sorry to disappoint you, my dear. From the unicorn pasture to the golden archer near the tentacle bed and the swooping vulture Round the corner lives my large pet dino being lead by a petite albino by the pond grows my crop of egg head while nearby lies a heard of enormous sized rhino Your gaze falls on my pink sparkly pegasus being rode by a tiara topped princess on a field of grass that is blood-red bordering a lake worthy of the great greek god Isis. As I watch your face change with shock and a pinch of delight I see you won't put up a fight You'll help me grow and raise my unparalleled garden You might even defend it and be my trusty warden. All that matters is that my garden is safe. And to be honest, I couldn't be happier.

again and again the morning comes undone and we march - stuff-lunged into crunch and mule love blunder-bused  and lump-kin but for always a short ton of long grief tweaking the snip of a dead sow's ear to reap a jewel from a dead mind. but here i love you like a war in Spain spiking the Punch and Judy/ a fugue grief on a tide of dark joy slavering at the haunches of a Pegasus. Blindfolded.

Pegasus Clouds
Come, take my hand and quickly! We'll sail the seven seas We'll find buried treasure Enjoy merry weather And do all of the things that we please Come, follow me quietly! We'll sneak up on the cave of a troll We'll steal his good ale Fill his shoe with a snail Don't get caught, or he'll eat you up whole! Come, run now, beside me! I'll show you where Pegasus fly We'll go and won't stop 'Til the gold mountaintop At the spot that just touches the sky Come, sit here before me... But, don't move much, for not to disrupt it See, between you and I A tiny village doth lie Only look, for 'twill break if you touch it Come, think closely on all I have shown you May you forever never forget While in one place, you're a giant In another, you could be a shy ant And who we are now is anyone's bet
