"partnerships" poems
Be kind to yourself, as you are with others You have these grand expectations of yourself and at times, those around you It's good to have goals and a hunger for betterment, but you must also be vigilant to keep them realistic Because, while you are indeed fierce & strong-willed, you are also soft & at times fragile You are human. But that doesn't mean you are without superpowers Your sensitivity is your greatest gift, but without care, can also be your greatest downfall You must learn to master your craft. This means to be patient with yourself as you would with others, to show compassion as you would with others, to show love, grace, & humility, to yourself This in practice, is to truly understand, & epitomise, that self-care is not selfish That it is okay to say no, or to ask for help, or to be truly vulnerable To acknowledge that fear is the root cause of bitterness & resentment To embrace the lows, for making the highs even sweeter To let the good wash over you the same as the bad, & embrace the micro changes, as the meta stays the same To believe you are worthy, of a great love, the same as you believe another's worthy of yours To embody the idiom that one can only truly love another, after they learn to love themself, & thus allowing the hard-earned victory of grounded, stable communion To know the difference between support & advice, love & lust, friendships & partnerships To have faith that you will find your way, because you will; because you live your life with generosity & authenticity This is my vision for you, that you will make this your reality.

twisted bicycles and empty pop cans line the longest street in the world- making my way ever closer to the frozen city I catch a glimpse of the relics of yesterday- paper bags and frost covered couches- chilled passengers seeking the brief warmth of the morning commute- sunlight and frost dance together and create crisp partnerships forever more- the bus driver has no trust in cats- the great dane out with it's friend sparks memories of my past- bitten in the face yet still loving dogs with such grace- the frozen city awakes as the relics of last night claim their place-

The Relics of Last Night
Our Love together's awesome in its power, All obstacles must bend before it's might. Our peaceful joy fills our hearts hour by hour, And solves all our misgivings ere they strike. My Love for you's reflected back to me, Your mirror shines heart's brightness to my eyes. We gaze and feed each other's deepest need, Falling in Love more deeply every time. So let the world assault us with its worst, Our partnerships impervious to strife. Together we surrender all that hurts, And in return we radiate Love's light. So come with me my darling butterfly, Let both of us serenely flutter by.

Our Love
Everyone, To begin. We have no choices, Depending on gurgled voices Recognized in utero. Trust radar's not activated, Despite the life experiences Of our carriers. White collars Dig for gold Wearing masks and gloves; So we rely on eyes Despite the hunger Behind the disguise. We are tied to swivel chairs In block buildings And asked to trust As they notice the dirt Beneath our nails Ripe-red for pulling. They want the correct answer, Not the right one. Love partnerships Are unstable vessels At  best. We secure trust In disposable Jilted pirate chests Waiting for discovery In teary depths. We find refuge In our children, Though we notice Eyes roll and shift As we age and drift. In whom do we trust? In the unborn Who will Live by our words, And define the world We leave in trust.

In Whom Do We Trust
lost in a liquor haze lies like a one night stand mutual attraction of mundane ideals forbidden words whispered in defiance of social, cultural, family expectations beneficial partnerships lacking soul money, money, money, money sensual *** without a second thought bodies viewed as replaceable objects experiments of genders one or two big and small, thin and wide lips to lips to lips bravado or a bet, charisma another one added to the tally or the feeling of falling and knowing there is a net of giving ones whole being without a second thought living for another, living like each ay could be its last time spent apart seems like millennia that fabled, sought after kiss - transcending time the fabled sought after touch - one that reaches the core a thousand diamonds could not rival the beauty the brilliance, the acceptance of flaws and all emotions not meant for this lifetime alone but to traverse the ages, written about talked about, wished upon, searched after understanding these four letters for all their worth can we? can we imagine love?

Social Engaged Poetry
We grew the earth, grew it around us and grew into it. We grew into pairs of shoes after pairs of shoes and we grew into our names. We learnt to tie the laces of our shoes and to tie our tongues around our names, and the names of other things, other people, and around other people's tongues. We planted our cultures, cultivated them, and they blossomed into traditions and stereotypes and generalisations and rituals. We broke in our shoes, broke the ice, broke our voices, broke promises. We broke glasses, hearts and bones. We built hierarchies, looked up, looked down, bowed down. We broke down into dictatorships and demonstration. We found solutions like democracy and diplomas and delegated. We fixed fountains and freight trains and falling trees in the forest and faucets that leaked. We formed partnerships, made promises, pledged to parties for both politics and both parents. We made marriage and then we annulled, we divorced. We fabricated the faiths that we fed on. We invented stopwatches, reality television, pedicures, lampshades, philosophy, greenhouses, dictionaries, exclusivity, feng shui, hand-holding, ****** medication, street art, lawsuits, lingerie, car boot sales, snow days, karaoke, comics, psychics, boarding schools, toast, baseball, psychiatry, bird-watching, plaid, research, stag nights, slasher movies, salads, and interventions. We wanted and we wished and we waited and we wanted for more. We were growing faster than we invented. We were outgrowing ourselves and our earth and our shoes and our names. We forgot what we had found and fixed and formed. We broke down and went broke. We are waiting to invent a new way we can fix ourselves.

If Earth could speak Would it believe The relationship with the human race is Parasitism If Earth could speak Would it say It is suffering Dying If Earth could speak Would it ask For help Are humans a burden to the Earth Or is the Earth a burden to humans Destruction is needed for creation Or is there something much bigger at play? Bigger than sea, space, and partnerships The earth speaks The universe speaks Human consciousness Be kind to Earth But never undermine existence

Sea, Space , and Partnerships
So many relationships like bad business partnerships: green bottles falling from walls; messages stuck in bottles rotating in great gyres; swallows never at home North or South. (Anti-Confessional? — It’s a fashionable trend just now and yet what is it not to confess, when we claim authorship?) Suburbia’s flat evenness suffocates (but I’ve repeated this so many times and I’m still here!). We need to find the cracks in which to grow, in which to place, our errant thoughts like rude whispers in a darkened room, and nobody about to hear you anyway! We express ourselves well in silence but me, I gyrate, not quite on one side or the other, a kind of even fullness, or, that’s what I like to think, let’s get this straight: I’m an uncouth wind against plains that offer no obstacles. Better to wear me that way — it saves the snap under pressure.

Balance is a key word for you. You give back what you've been given-- In relationships, that is. You're a doer, creative and driven. You lack passion, some people think. But that is truly not the case. A compromise between passion And intellect must be in place. You really need other people; Your need to be liked must be fulfilled. Though reluctant to face confrontation, Sometimes you can be strong-willed. You probably like to entertain. Your grace and charm can make you flirty. You want to make your surroundings pleasant Without getting your hands very ***** To achieve peace and harmony You will go to amazing lengths. Being an expert communicator Is considered one of your strengths. Regarding physical exercise, You could have a lazy streak. You need motivation since The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. If you lack comfy surroundings, You can easily be depressed. Your stamina runs in cycles. Be aware when you need rest. Partnerships are important to you. Just keep your head out of the clouds. You relish being around other people, But not necessarily crowds. Diplomacy helps you succeed As long as your wit and charm aren't obsessive. When your wiles are ineffective, Watch that you don't become aggressive. If you try to please others too hard, You lose your individuality. It's crucial for you that others can see Your kindness, fairness, and impartiality. When you know it's time to move on, You can do it with no hesitation. Being knocked off balance can cause you Emotional and mental frustration. Your love of beauty in all forms Is on an intellectual level. You--with your social grace-- Could even charm the pants off the Devil. - by Bob B

What is that doing here? It reminds me to remember a particular fear How peculiarly sincere But I have enough of that So take it all the way back It never fails to stick if and when I wander near I've said it before Both coming in and walking out the door My vocal cords ring sore You feed me Okay's Say, "to hell with past days" No more tears moped up off a shared floor I've heard many things So many things said many ways by many human beings It's gone beyond repeating Lost my sense of real What's a partnerships appeal? Even good beginnings befall painful endings Keep the goodby Trade it for another "never again" lie And a slice of American pie Words hold little truth Slippery, not unlike a noose That no one this time will be able to untie ©2025

~•§•~ Why Render the Memory? ~•§•~
Keep what you have sweet and keep surprises afloat treat each day as a new day and do not rock the boat. Give respect and you will receive it back and ten times over at least Keep laughter at the top of the tree and each meal as your wedding feast. Pay each other compliments like never before Cuddling does the magic trick Learn to ignore the snoring, the moaning and everything else that makes you sick. Partnerships should be blessed each day like baking him his favourite cake it is like taking the rough with the smooth knowing how to give and to take. These are the first steps to everlasting love follow them and you cant possibly go wrong just simple steps to keep what you have alive of course "Everlasting Love" is my favourite song.
