Temptation red as Carmine

Tears as thick as cerulean

And here lies I shedding to your core

Vivid gradients expressing

What I need is more.

Such a strange contravene

What dwells inside never dares to be seen

Mellow yellow daydreams remind me of the laughter

But vivid gradients expressing

What I yearn for is thereafter.

Melancholy rests on mahogany busts

And just like brights, present turns to rust

How a beating flame disintegrates from the folds of my clutch

Vivid gradients fade

And submit to touch.

I hope you use to feel,
I hope you use to feel like I did.
But you never did,
Cause the things that I surpassed were surreal, too vivid.

Sketches and the drawings I would do would look just like you now.
Ripping pages had to do with rage, I couldn’t stop thinking of you now, now.
I just knew that my dreams weren't real when I would dream of you now ,now.
You had better things to do than to be friends with me , but I loved you now, now.

I hope you use to feel,
I hope you use to feel clarity.
But you said need,
Cause the things you use to have then , now you don't need,
Which was my love.

That night you first kissed me
Was scared to say how much you meant
I had never met a guy as special as you
Eight years ago I already knew you'd leave a dent

Guilty of letting myself fall too hard
Filled with determined hope
Had never experienced real bliss before
Happy ending dangling from a reachable rope

Was young, silly enough to believe
A little attention made me pretty special
Eyes held promise and longing
No longer alone, with the devil

Together drowned in forever feelings
Underneath bright hallway lights
Vivid memory impossible to undo
I will not forget that exhilarating night
I wonder if he remembers...

This is a true, but amusing tale,
Hope your laughter does not fail,
'Tis a saga of a cockatoo,
Of life, he held a jaundiced view,
At the going down of the sun,
Cocky embellished his own fun,
And at the rising of each dawn,
Cocky's catharsis our ears did adorn,
The parrot kept talking, none listened to he,
Cocky had such a vivid vocabulary,
All starting with "F...ing C...'s"!
We heard his morning matins, you see,
His vespers were hard to believe,
'Twas sociolinguistic acquisition, prithee,
His jaded look at society,
Swearing is cathartic, but so lazy......
A true tale of a feathered friend, somewhere in middle suburbia, in Oz.

Your love
Sparse summer rain
Pouring warm
Cold
Drip drop
On my umbrella
Plop in mud
Splashing
The leaves
The blooms
Vividly colored

Rain
falling
in the stream
The savage winds
blow

                    One
                      thousand
                        leaves sail down
                         red, green, yellow
                     lost

The
willow
shakes and weeps
heads bowed strokes stream
sad

                               Light
                               it rises
                                It flies by

A change from my usual poems in terms of format!
While looking for books on Japanese poetry, I found this website https://penandthepad.com/write-lantern-poem-4928414.html
Introducing me to the Lantern poem! While haikus use the syllable structure of five-seven-five syllables in a total of three lines. The Lantern poem uses five lines with a syllable structure of one, two, three, four and one syllables per line. Of course, it's called the 'Lantern' poem because it's meant to be shaped as a hanging lantern! I can't believe I didn't know about this, it's absolutely wonderful! I'm so gonna write more of these on my page! It was really refreshing to do! ^.^
I feel so inspired!

Be back soon!

Beauty

We admire beauty as we revere art;
We seek beautiful things to adorn our homes.
We crave to have an attraction on our arms,
So we can show our success to those who have none.

We want to love beauty;
We want a beautiful love.
We search for something purely pretty enough,
That it makes all else look so dull.

Her face lights up a room every time she smiles;
Her beauty is blinding and my feelings I cannot hide.
Her mind is an ***** that needs stimulation;
Her hair an extension of that undeniable attraction.
Her beauty is on show and it leads her forward;
Wolves whistle when she walks on by
And my thoughts are never spoken and never heard.

I want to see a world that is more spectacular;
More vivid to my eyes.
I want to find a beauty within the vernacular,
So even I can write something beautiful and make myself smile.

I see a beautiful truth inside of your heart;
I hope it wants to leap out and grab hold of my life.
I tell myself it could, to accept the fact that we are forever apart,
Because the thought of never holding you,
Is a tragedy inside my mind.

Gusts of your breath like a breeze
Fanned against my lips with each exhale
Your soft lips, grazing the chapped surface
Shivers danced down my spine
In a waltz so furious, my body in frenzy
Revelling to the beats of our hearts
Excitement almost dizzying
Feeling your gentle fingertips graze my cheeks
As you cupped my face, softly
Your eyelashes fluttered
Against my flushed cheeks
As a butterfly would against flowers
The creases of your Cupid’s bow
Finally pressed against my own
Our noses touching, sliding against each other
Lips now melding like seeping honey
Through a kiss so vivid
A kiss that only happened in my daydreams
for all of you who longs for a kiss in your fantasies

My vision has been contorted.
All colors no longer blend
but rather stand out and by
themselves. All lives and
positions seem different from
the angles they are presented in .
