How I'd like to
catch your nightmares
with my bare hands
and put them away
out of your reach.

How I'd love to
take away your insecurities
and replace them
with the wonderful thoughts
I have about you.

How I desire to
rip out your frustrations
and make you smile endlessly
maybe then you will see
how beautiful you are.
I'll still be the one who's ready to listen to your rants every single day and I'd love to love you unconditionally.

Language isn't a barrier if you take the time to learn
Food isn't too bad unless you try it once
And people are all different no matter where you go
I've only been to Japan
And the United States
But just seeing these two
Just hearing about prejudice
makes my stomach curl

I wish we could see more.

What if I hadn't answered that
  Wrong number.
Heard your voice calling on
   The other end.
Two people a worlds apart,
But a once in a life time

                                 Error.

I said wrong number,
   But my heart was wrapped
Around your voice that captured
In the moment between me

   Putting the phone down

                                  and redialing my destiny.

I paused and I said,
     "Hi,

  Awkward silences lasts a lifetime,

Till you answered me,
"I said I heard you on the other end
and I just wanted to
know who's voice could capture me

with so few words..

She said my name is,
and I said my name was,
we giggled and I wondered how far

could a destiny have called from.

And we realised that even though
our voices had connected

that we were just five floors apart
for us to for so long ourselves
five years never meeting eyes,
            voices, not even a glance.

But I'd now found you,
       we rushed from our doorways,

down the stairways..

We reached the floors we were meant to
        reach, but you weren't there,
I wasn't with within your reach.

We stared out the opposite windows,
and found we were further apart than
we'd thought I saw you, seeing me.
            Waving at each other.

We didn't run we walked,
          down each flight of stairs.

Waiting so long for each other we walked
miles in tandem till we reached the
                                                            sidewalk.

What are the odds to meet this near
  on a crossing of life.
We waited a moment till red turned green.
That was our moment
to collapse in to each other,

and it seemed like we kissed for our last two lifetimes.

The best sight at a sunset is you,
I'll never let the sun drop below us.

I'll hold up the day just to see you.
      Because observing your beauty is
the rising and falling of my life.

Your on the first rays of daylight
and I'd  never let it set on

you & me...
Sometimes I see you
You're everywhere
Sometimes you're nowhere
Not even in my dreams

Maybe I just miss us
The old us
What we used to be
What we had

What we can't repeat
What we can't exchange
What we had was great
I treasure it here again

Maybe you'll never know this
Maybe you'll never notice
Everything that we had
Even the first kiss
If there was a way
Would you still love me?
Would you still care?
At the end of the day?

I ask myself a lot
If what we felt was real
Keeps playing in my thoughts
Though our fates are sealed

It is the end of the road
But I appreciate the journey
Even if it's hard to let go
Us is my favourite memory

Do not ask me to recite poetry,
nay, not with grape in my veins--

Do not ask me to proofread truth
as the rocks
or the water I drink in my cupped hands

I am a father of simple
child of no one
brother of singing voice
son of music

I am but acids
tripping on acid

i am but time
tripping on seconds

I am but stone
with electric current
reciting current events
eventually distinguished

but not for me
not for these
atoms,
or time
not mine

this is the curse of poets
the curse of 23 followers
and counting

the liars of open scheme
and dying rhyme

i am the last scream
that bathes in obscene
and truthful
meaning
