We wake up and plan
to smile at strangers,
and hold the door open,
and say no to anger.

But then there's traffic,
and road rage and red lights,
and cut-offs and cuss-outs,
daydreaming of fights.

Our destination is reached,
and our hands are in fists,
we stomp down the halls,
and crash by accident.

Coffee spills, papers scatter,
faces red, eye contact made,
thoughts are racing, anger raising,
a small flame ignites great hate.

We watch the scene
play in our head,
like directing a movie
and take one is red.

It's yelling and screaming,
insulting and punching,
automatic desire,
but solving nothing.

Aren't we lucky
we aren't bound by our thoughts?
We might be tempted,
but slaves we are not.

Aren't we lucky
if take one leads to
mistakes or trouble
we can choose a take two?

Reaching for you
when you're high above the sky
Searching for you
in this vast horizon
Even if it's just a 0.0000001% chance,
I won't give up on you.

Why do my words matter,
to you at all?

Why do you love my face?

Because you don't see me,
anymore,

Not even in my state of loving grace,

Why wear my hair that way-
or this?

No way we can return to pure love bliss?

Why wear my lipgloss,
when I ain't gonna get a kiss?

Not the way I wanna,
get-
get one real...
oh so soft and wet,
oh yeah,
yeah you bet,

Emmm,
soooo soft and ****,
purrr purrr purr,
touch me
want me,
an take me in a blur,

Take me back-
to the way we were,

We can get lost on high delight,
hold me baby-
hold me nice an tight,
stay with me for at least tonight,

I am just a girl,
underneath this exterior,
after all.

the wet coconut leaves
glistened in the moonlight
Telling stories of the life
I once lived
the sea calls me
To the deep
The wind sings me to sleep
only to dance under the moonlight in blissful dreams


i dove in the glistening ocean
alive at night
breath in deep, the salty air
oh what precious  delight

down to where the clams open
and glowing fishes live
i find my home now
i finish my trip

The nightmare of falling
to an endless void
Risking everything to land on nothing
Reaching out my hand to hold onto darkness
But instead of pulling me out,
It pulls me deeper within
I close my eyes I see pitch black
I open them I see no difference
All that is gone and all that is dark
Nothing comes close to true peace but this
Fear shrouds like a warm blanket thru the cold void
And my body continue to fall
And my spirit ascends to paradise

She had high voltage in her lips
Shot me in my chest
lost my breath
Going into cardiac arrest

My thoughts are a hurricane
At the maelstrom lies my heart
Although I know no one is listening
I nervously rehearse for when you're around

On the way down screaming
If I could just get more time we'll be alright
There's tonight, and I know it's not much
But it's better than nothing

We're running on fumes and we'll make it through the night
It's not a perfect love, but it's better than dreaming
As Shakespeare said "Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs."

Wrote poetry and decided to turn it into music.
