If you want to keep
yourself safe and content then
never let them in

There are some homes,
Which feels more at home than our home.
People, there are rude but true.
It feels safe to be there rather than roam.
They understand because they themselves have gone through.
But they actually value you for being you.
That's the real home where you find your true construe.

looking out my window doesn’t scare me anymore

it’s just people
it’s just the earth

i’m already one with whatever lingers in that darkness
looking outside feels like warmth
The world in a place
Never dreamt of, for itself, nor its inhabitants

Everyone is going through something
That nobody should

Ripping at the seams
Much to accommodate, distressed

Some on the edge, the going is tough
Losing to stress

For some there is everyone
The fabric of love, three-plied strong

If possible be there for someone
A blanket stitch at the seams, saves fine

There is much to explore in the world we inhabit
We need our world, and the love it needs
Let’s give what we can, and receive the same

I feel so safe in his arms that even if the world crumbled in pieces, i would be the only survivor.

RED
Red like the regret,
lying around as ashes
from the blaze of the
fire that caught up
in your lies, deceit.

Red as the sky bleeds
her despair raw,
as the wound deepens,
into her veins.

Red like the memories,
spilled like the blood
of the innocent.

Red as the regret
consumes the sanity
away from the sane.

The rawness of this world
Is often overwhelming
That’s why easier to find an escape
Rather then live in the moment

We are safe in our hiding place
But from there
we can only
watch life slip away

There is a fragility in staring into a mirror.
In knowing that though the glass is unmarked,
The reflection is shattered.
Old traumas make new days hard sometimes.

I won't forget the day you told me you'd never leave this town.

Stuck in a bubble so small that you forget to look around and see the possibilities.

You left yourself behind while you were chasing so something better.

Never get in line to take another chance together.

Just stick with what you knew and another safe endeavor.

And I let you down....

Because I was meant for bigger things
More than just a diamond ring
And waking up beside you for another day of ordinary.

I was meant for something else
At least I had to save myself
From waking up beside you for another day of ordinary life...
A verse and the chorus of an in-progress song I'm working on.
