They watch my lavish fall
Hungrily
Lips gnashing together
Grinding teeth in anticipation
Its the only sound I hear
As I slip through the abyss

I blame them
partly
With their eyes scanning upwards
Fixated on the throne
Waiting for the day
They’ll look down on the rest of us

Now today has arrived
And they marvel in what I’ve become
What I've lost
Who am I now
Surely not this creature
Cracked mask on a sunken ship

Blood streams from my temples
Tormenting thoughts cannot be contained
In the mere encompass of my mind
They hug the curve of my cheekbones
And slip on my lower lip

Inviting me to speak them
Inviting me to scream them

All while the parasite keeps digging
Tunnelling deeper and deeper
Up the underbelly of my wrist

They call me a sinner,
           all because of,
                   the sin inside of you
                           that still thrives in you,
                                  as I strive,
                                          to emerge, from
                                                 the ashes from hell
you left me to burn in.

The sun went down for years and never rose again.

Each day I was swallowed whole by black holes and consumed by empty space taking too much room in my heart.

Have you ever felt this way? Like the world is falling apart?

Instead lives colliding, it’s earthquakes.

Yesterday, my soul was screaming for me wake up. “Wake up!” She said “wake up!”

Today I awoke to the sun rise. I felt heat on my face and for once, it wasn’t icy cold. Today I heard my soul speak.

She said thank you.

“Thank you!”
This poem was the result of some late nights thoughts. I have been on a healing journey for a couple of months now. I hope this poem helps you heal too.

To some you’re the sign of a tiresome commute
To some you don’t even exist
To me you rise and fill me with wonder
Until tomorrow, you will be missed
Good morning

Her heart painted waves
Deeper than her rising flames

Staring into the abyss,
I saw the demon,
that tormented me on many sleepless nights.
Now it's staring right at me,
what it wants? I not know,
the plethora of thoughts,
running down my mind.
For the time has come to,
dive deep into it.
The uncertainty frightens me,
it cripples me.
But, I know,
when, I will emerge at the other end,
I will be a changed man.
For now I have to,
dive deep down into the chasm.
a poem to conquer my demons.
Thank you for reading.

Drain the venom with your pen
write it out,
until it wraps around you.

Stem the bloodflow
use it as a tourniquet
spit out the poison onto paper.

This world was made to devour
unhinging its jaw,
seeking to binge on us.

Do not be afraid
be forewarned;
take off the head of the hydra
and be resolved to continue with the cause.

When the sun sets, he lays to rest.
When she rises, his soul is reborn.

A brown leaf ripens in the Son
A decision made for everyone
On a hill marked with blood
and watched with a Father's eyes

A blind man sees walking trees
and the covenant crown lies at His feet
I will rise in Him
while the willow whispers
strengths untold
and the honey flows
in lands of old
I will rise in Him

Silver streams ran down her face
but behold amazing grace
A few more days
A little longer we wait
till we will rise in Him

A golden goblet is stained
and she thirsts as the deer
she climbs up like a bear
and is watched with a Father's eyes
Until we rise in Him.

Broken Pieces Apr 2020
A small little girl had her life taken away from her,
Wishing things would go back to how they were.
But no matter what she was surrounded by the ashes,
She felt so alone and had many gashes.
The reality that once seemed good,
Turned out she misunderstood.
Just when she thought she was broken beyond repair,
She rose up from the ashes right then and there.
I will no longer only make splashes,
Because I'm the one who rose up from the ashes.
