Her name was Tori

She ran like a cheetah
Spots speckled her body
Her hair blew in the wind
Soft laughter escaped her
She ran for enjoyment

T was for talent
She could do anything
O was for odd
She was her own person
R was for radiant
She emitted an aura
I was for intelligence
She had a mind of everything

She fit her name like a glove
Silent awe in her wake
No one could stop her
Something always burned within
She never stopped running
I met a girl named Tori. I will never forget her.

If we give into others fears,
where just a reflection
                            of there worth.

Always look inward,
              you'll find that mirror
              reflecting the true you.

And remember there's is broken for a reason.

in this two words ,
i remembered you

in this two words ,
i remembered our love

in this two words ,
that meant a millions more

in this two words ,
we ended a fight

in this two words ,
the kisses was our stars

in this two words ,
the hugs was our world

in this two words -
i see ;
the sun .
i erased. then i'll see the sun. i'll remember the arguments, the tears, the kisses, the embraces. i'll remember how beautiful we are, how beautiful our love is.

Bridge Building
We dug in the mud we used sticks
When we found bits of wreckage I was happy
When I heard the soldiers talk of ghosts I was in disbelief
When I realized I was here by fate I was fine
When I knew my Goddess guided me I was chilled
When my Hello Kitty tumbler fell I knew
When we knew this was the spot I cried
When we found a bit of bone I was elated
When I knew we had succeeded I was a girl
When I knew the big wigs had failed I smirked
When I hear it’s true what we found I’ll believe
When I hear that we found Lt Stone I’ll drink
When I drink in memory of Stone I’ll invite him
When I drink with Stone I’ll invite Kurosawa
When we all drink together we will all smile
And say how silly mad bad sad war is
But how cool aeroplanes are
Then we will all be fine
And laugh and enjoy our destiny
For we have all lived
And walked this green land
And flown in its blue skies

Tonight, a memory came
I tried to recall
But, suddenly, you start to fade
Has it really been that long?
Your laugh is distant
If I could, would I try to remember in an instant?
The answer is unclear
Where have you gone in my head,
my dear?
Is this what letting go feels like?
I still remember my feelings,
but they're faint
akin to old paint peeling
in the attic of my body
forgotten, rusted and creating a new setting
Taking down the pictures,
setting up new fixtures for someone new to visit
I don't know how to say this
But, tonight, a memory came
I tried to recall
but came only a blurry face
and no will to remember at all.

Reposting this with a few edits, because the words ring truer to how I feel now :)

you're on the tip of my tongue
not quite fully formed
a word
the one i find so easy to forget

you trip me up
every time
start with a 'g'
three syllables

i've got you...almost
g-r-a-t-i-t-u-d-e
ah, that's right
rhymes with attitude

i'm so thankful i remembered you at last

quite a melancholy song this is
the life that we live
but our saviors are
others

nostalgia comes stronger
with someone else
looking at the stars
wondering afar

the broken moments are those
i remember
the street lamp that flickered
i remember

we sense emotions and
there's no limit
to how much we share
and what's in it

the more times you shatter
the better you rise
when you finally fall
well, everyone dies

we're stuck in a cycle
but our energy stays
a childlike hope
the endless days

it's late right now
through my window a wonder
of stars i see
i'll sit and ponder

i think i feel the emotion
of every person
and it hurts but it feels
incredible

it feels. it feels.
we need to feel
where else would we be
without a heart to steal

no one so sad as
the person who doesn't know
how to be happy
how to glow

a stream of consciousness
is the best form i write
i'll share my love
and with that, goodnight
i finished watching The End of the F***ing World on Netflix and I used the last sentence of season one to inspire this poem. Or, as I like to call it, a stream of consciousness.
I think about the things I've done,
The words I've said,
The lies I've told.
Truths I've held,
Loves I've lost.

Looking back at all that's happened,
Late night talks,
Tears I've shed
Hours I've lost,
Minutes I've spared.

Smiles from the lives I've made happier,
Moments I'll never forget
Friends I'll never let go,
Feelings I've had.

I...I...I...

Always will be I...
