You are a virus
There is no cure
The only way to get rid of you
Is with lots of rest and patience.

i got something you aren't ready
to hear just yet.
it comes in ash and that's the only way
i know how to present it.
my hands stay covered in midnight
and you sleep through dawn.
you sleep and sleep while
              i lose track of time.
has it been four hours now
or eight?
this lost longing. this familiar ache.
                                      selective amnesia? yeah.
yeah, that sounds about right.
don't call it a "game,"
call it
            "waiting patiently until
the roof caves in. until we become
something not you, not even i
                                 can recognize."
i can't stop thinking about that time a few weeks ago when i said i missed you and you told me that "sometimes i feel the same."

Tell Dr Blood it's Mrs Bloomsbury;
He always sees me right away;
He's such a wonderful doctor - so much
Better than that Doctor Day.

What the devil are you incinerating,
I consider your tone a right cheek,
I've not bothered you for ages; I've
Not phoned for at least … a week.

But this is an emergency;
Yes of course it's serious,
I'm sweating, shivering, sneezing
And feel quite delirious.

I'm running a terrible temperature,
I'm covered all over in spots,
My body aches from head to toe,
My muscles all ******* in knots.

My heart's got the palpitations,
Though I've still got a pulse - it's quite weak;
My poor throat's ever so red and sore,
It's increasingly hard ... to ... speak,

My eyes are all glazed and weepy,
My ears are infected and blocked,
I think there's a chill in my kidneys
And my joints have all stiffened and locked.

My stools - are alarmingly liquid,
My water's grey, misty and strong,
I'm suffering pins and needles, in fact ...
I don't think I've got very long.

He can see me on Thursday morning,
An appointment for half-past-ten,
But that’s no good at all to me ...
I'll be better again - by then!

I play hide & seek with my daughter,
It's my turn to seek her this time,
Sankshaya, my girl, blindfolds me.

As she is scurrying away from me,
It's only her tiny footsteps I hear,
I follow her sounds and follow her.

And suddenly she screams in pain,
I remove my blindfold instantly,
It's imperative to instantly help her.

I see her writhing on the floor in pain,
It's a nightmare for me when I see,
See her dropped down onto the floor.

I take her to the hospital immediately,
I answer as they ask about my wife,
"She recently died battling cancer."

"I am so sorry, don't mind it please,
We will take care of your daughter,"

The doctor assured me so very kindly.

Sometime later,
Coming out of the emergency room,
The doctor says with a serious face,
"We have performed some tests."

These tests are always so very evil,
I enquire that doctor cautiously,
"When the results'll be here?"

"Soon, within the time of a week,"
The doctor said very calmly,
I didn't get more scared.

A week later,
I was holding the report,
A tear rolled down my cheek,
The result shows that the patient has eye cancer.

All hell had broke loose on me!
Inherit it she did from her mom,
The daughter carries the oncogene.

The doctors had it tailor made,
That suggestion to such patients,
Remove the eyes as cancer spreads.

I cautiously confess the truth,
Sankshaya smiles her Angel smile,
'Let's play hide & seek one last time.'

Truth hurts, I know it since long,
But this is the limit!
WHY DID YOU CREATE CANCER?

I just weep silently,
With a resentful heart,
Clutching my daughter.

Free me of this sickness
Get me out of my mind
This virus in my body
Keeps me awake at night

And I wait under the covers
Take my drugs, suppress my fever
But it's something I can't sweat out
The tightness in my throat
The aching of my bones
Burning behind my eyes oh tell me why why why why

I can't shake you off
I can't believe it
Dust inside my lungs
From breathing you in
Every cell in me has been contaminated
Put me under quarantine

Fires burning in my head
Don't think I've even left this bed for days
Time slips
And spills away
Keep getting sicker
Haven't found a way
To treat my symptoms or find my cure
I don't know what I'm looking for
As the hours pass, all I can think
Is how you (went and) infected me

And I'm so sick of feeling wrong
And coughing up my ******* lungs
Every bit of my being's getting worse
I became a victim of it first
I'm patient zero
And until I find you, then
I will never be healthy again

I had been extremely patient,
Wish she was a bit mature too.
With my love she was lucky,
I so wish that I was lucky too.
Hope she showered love on me,
Not a zombie but I am a human too.
But it is Karma and it is not yet shining!

My mind, an ocean of thoughts
You, a voyager, courageous and patient
Do I only like the idea of you?
Did you just call me ugly?
How blind could you be?
Don't you know that I got God inside of me?
Tell me dear....
So, full of pride and so focused on your youthful looks.
How much makeup?
How much pride?
How many people?
Will be at your side,
When you close your eyes for the last time.
Tried to be **** at times myself.
Those ideas blew up in my face.
Got a lot of regret debts
anchored down in the valleys of the wrinkles on my face.
Did you know I used to have abs?
Not anymore.
One day I heard my stomach having a private conversation,
with gravity.
Gravity said, 'Winning!'
Took my abs away.
Gave me arthritis and a fever in its place.
I **** so much.
I swear someone has a gun to my ***.
It is so ****** up,
when the pistol starts to cry and laugh.
I need a walker most of the time.
I guess the only crime I committed was staying alive.
Yeah, I am old.
So, what! I made it this far.
Take your *** on and be thankful for who you are.
You don't know how good you got it.
You can still get around,
Without leaving fun size Hersey bars behind on the ground.
'Hey, old dude, what Hersey bars are you referring to you?  The thing I see behind you are chocolate bars,
With corn toppings.
The old man starts to laugh.
The young lady says, 'Do you mean to tell me that you *******, while you were talking to me this whole time?
The young lady began to puke.
'Baby, I didn't **** on myself. My *** did all the work. I haven't been able to control my bladder for a few months now. Here is a tissue for your mouth though?'
'Did you just hand me your depends?' The young lady said.
'Yep! These Depends never judge me and makes me feel very special.'
The young lady walks away, as she continues to puke.
The old guy says, 'She is so slow. I thought that she would have given me my Depends diaper back.
'Uh oh! What am I going to doo-do in now? That girl stole my Depends!
