Better a small spark of flame
From hot coals and ash
Than a great bolt of light
That goes out with a flash

•Blind love•
We can never tell if it’s there
We stare at the moon
Till it becomes eternal flame
We blame it on our eyes
For the time we have stained
Our memories blend in
Stories become entertainment
Our breath is then shared in mint
The galaxies become our escape
The air tamed tapes our bodies into flames
We can no longer see except for our souls that run away into the dark to find stars that then burn into beautiful light lovely blue surrounded by cupids clouds

The intoxic flame framed phrase, burned my heart.
The unholy sin was unspoken, foreshadowed in the words.
Her captivating silky hair were surely not washed of fain, but of something more cleansing something more, concentrated.
Soft silence on her tongue, emphasised her words because the rose she spoke of was never found anywhere, but smelled in her books which had no bookmark.
The brightness that highlighted dark, was traitor
It represented her unkindliness with grace,
What looked in her coy, was actually pride
And her trap shaped in a window to good times.

Her scent was morphine, her smirk another shot, her plead an order, her wish, motive.
With guilt formed wrong thoughts of her, with pleasure her image.
But she was someone wise, who carried a knife and killed with smile.

The morning we met,
we spoke to each other
with a progressive urgency
to catch each other up on a lifetime apart.

My soul recognized you
though my mind did not.

Life is like a video game,
The motive is to survive the ultimate level.
You can be the one to cast the flame
And shift the blame,
But in the end —
We’re all faced with the devil.

Time has fed a burning fire with dying embers.
A dwindling light in the winter wind, flickering
As the night sought to put it out but could not,
Resisted death and not once lost its light.

Still I pitied it. A candle hanging by a thread,
Waging quarrels with the wind, found no solace
In my cupped hands. The cold and bitter tears
Of these winter nights pelted its withering spirit.
Written some day last June 2019.

I don’t know how to love
My heart cries everyday for you
It stings with the needles that your words create
Your actions burn like fire in my tender skin
My eyes swim in rivers of regret
I see you with contempt
But love you with life
My brain bites the sound of your song
Every night I long for you in my arms
Slowly, the gravity of your presence kills me
It shatters my soul and carves my wounds
My flesh kindles in the flame
That you stir with one glance
Only you quench the ache that you create
I would die for you
But you would **** me first
Love is tangled in between
I don’t know how to love

Love still etched upon the page
Fading yes but still this rage
Where hearts that pounded, best as one
Will forever live, are never done.
I run my fingers across those words
Recorded there a love unheard
But bound in time, two lives as one
Now torn and stained, our hopes undone.

not a flicker, nor a flame.‬
‪always invisible, unknown by name.‬
‪so now it is up to me‬
‪to leave a mark,‬
‪to go out with a bang‬
‪and leave my art.‬

There was this tweet that told us to write based on the picture that had attached .. it was my first time ever doing something like that and I only did it to see if I could.

Honestly I wish you guys could see the picture. Nonetheless, I’m really proud of this especially since I haven’t written any poetry all month.
