we stare at boxes full of light
it takes what we think it gives
experiences now across wire lines
instead of real events

even typing poetry
I feel that earth has gone amiss
when in fact the 'whole world' is right
behind my fingertips

if we could only lift our eyes
we'd see our world exists
but could you only tell me what's
the purpose of all this?

Oh! Let me be you.
Who walks with a sun in your pocket
for every rainy day.
Who stood at crossroads
and decided which road shouldn’t exist.
Let me be you for a day.
So that I am not the one
who hides in hollow words,
who makes her bed on the dreams of others.
Let me be you,
so that I can put out my hand
always with the confidence
knowing that the love I ask
shall be given.

But what is this that I feel?
Why my hands shake?
Why my heart cries?

Is it because
the one who is breaking the wall
with bare bleeding hands
has the same pain, same fear
as the one who is hiding behind that wall.
Is it because
this love, this life
leaves no one without scar.
Let's get a little bit tipsy and dance under the stars on a sandy beach,
splash in its chaotic waves.
let's skinny dip under the moon,
bath in the clear fresh water that falls off a beautiful jagged mountain.
Let's jump off that same mountain and feel our hearts catch in our throats and our souls get shocked  back to life.
Lets set ourselves free
Let us simply exist.
Let us just be.

I am the girl who dreams of disappearing
I am the one who loves without being loved in return
I’m the girl with eyes as dark as coffee
I’m the one who’s lips are sweet and heart so torn
Let me hold you and tell you that everything will be ok,
for if love truely exists,
tell me you’ll never leave my side,
tell me I mean something to you
tell me I’m going to have forever with you
If not
Let me disappear,
Forget any trace of me from your mind
Forget the feel of my skin against yours,
the taste that our kisses so softly gave
My voice... my existence
for if I’m am not yours,
I am no ones
when I disappear
Promise you’ll forget me.

I am not alive
I can hardly lift my head
I only exist
Does anyone else feel like a zombie sometimes?
Nayana Nair May 2018
The dust that lay on the page
that I left open long ago
is now a page on it’s own,
with a story its own.
I look at it and read
negligence and loneliness.
I read how things are forgotten
so easily
and how things are treated as things
by people who
live their life accumulating things
and rest half of it
misplacing, destroying,
replacing and forgetting them.
How people are treated on similar lines
but worse.
How we come back to claim our possessions
when they can clearly exist better
without us.
Yusof Asnan May 2018
So many worlds.
So many lives to
exist in.
Yet in a mere
coincidence;
Of time and
space.
We exist in each
other's.
But as the worlds
orbit around
life,
You can't deny
the space.
At first from
within,
A void in your
heart.
To a physical
space dividing
us.
And we got on our
own way.
Like nothing ever
happened.

Forgetting you exist
Should not have been easier
Than existing with you
afteryourimbaud Mar 2018
Isn't it funny that all it takes are just words of astute feelings and sufferings to make us reflect, while all the words have already existed long before we end up with that one powerful sentence.
