Skies too small and colorless
Waters too calm and chaos intent
The earth too round, too bound and true
Too much my hopes for you
Dear friend - Tone it down, haha!
M Solav Dec 2019
How do you
Come to know
That you’ve been drifting away
From yourself?

You listen
To the echoes
Of your voice growing scarcer
By the year,

And perhaps
You have lost
The will to make that very call
Or answer.

The mountain
Is far now
There's no other way to return
But to search

But how do
You conclude
That you’ve been on a descent
Down to earth?

You look back
And wonder
“Did that mountain of your deeds
Weigh its worth?”

I'll always be there to cheer you up
even if the only way I can do that
is by bringing myself down.
Zane Smith Dec 2019
on my chest
love you with every breath.
it's been tough
you've had enough.
noise so loud
in your mind,
let it out
one tear at a time.
nothing more craved
than to be with you
everyday.
I wish I could help
when all you can do,
is let yourself melt.

In my head again
fighting a battle
I know I can't win.

Shut down or stand up,
never good enough.
Insecurities.

Conceding no more,
hesitation gone,
I've settled the score.

Look in the mirror,
dismiss my disguise.
Fierce and Strong I rise.
Still pretty new to poetry and trying different styles.  This one I believe is called syllabic verse and contains 5 syllables per line.  Thank you for reading hope you enjoy it.  Thank you to all whom love and support me.  Special thanks to my husband, children, brother and friends (S.M., C.H. and anyone else I forgot.)  Thank you C. Love for the revising suggestions and Gretchen Miller for the title.

Reflection

I hate when I look into your eyes
I hate that you're my friend?
I hate that you talk **** behind my back
I hate the way you look at me
I hate when you say you love me
I hate what I see when I look into the mirror
What I think wherever I pass a mirror
My head asks what is the matter
My heart does not know the trouble
The sun shines more brilliant
The clouds draw imagine of beautiful pattern

The butterflies fly in the two rows
Dancing a smart dance as the great dancers
The leaves salute the winds with great tending

The winds pass so light and so guide
My mind asks and the world responds
The love appears and the peace governs
The world bows even the hate increases

The killing draw an optimistic imagines
it greets these were killed
and accuses these killings
Even the most powerful supports
Even the world tries to close his eyes
The freedom opens its arms
For long hugs for these downers
For who wants to get their land free and  peace

Even they expose to dead or gets injures
Their blood will the sign for the world letting them down
They will complain to the God for this unbalance
The justice is crippled,  the justice will lead to the death
the world watches the killing of Palestinian and says no word.

When I am ill
I’m not numb, I hum
With radiation everywhere

Far more aware of how tall I am
And filled with ache
With stale, dull, air

It’s like a flower wilted is
It’s like a moonlit night neath clouds
It’s like I cannot feel, yet all is feeling all around

When I am ill
And feeling
Inexplicably, down
Ill And Fog

Sickness With The Down

Open up your ache and let it flow unto... blahh
