Friend or foe
Kwasi Boakye Oct 2015
It was just a flash,
A flash of tear dripping down my eye
are you a friend or foe

yes you did,
you put my name in the mist of shame
are you a friend or foe

You turned my people against me
are you a friend or foe

You smile in my face
And frown at my back
are you a friend or foe

You sold my heart
when you know its made of gold

are you a friend or foe?
are you a friend or foe?
are you a friend or foe?
are you a friend or foe?
are you a friend or foe?
When friends become foe and foe becomes friend

Unfortunately Mean
Kwasi Boakye Nov 2016
Oh I have been mean
She cried but there was no tear
She asked why but I could not tell

She asked again but I could not say
How have I been to have this day

She asked me to leave and never come back
And gave me what I had given back

"On a more serious note, I need the space and a break
So lets cut the calls and text she said"

I asked for how long
She said until you are sure about what you really want I will be here

Now I miss her
I miss her more than I ever had
And I hope this is not it

I wish I haven't been mean
This is the story of my sad face. A story of needs and wants. A story of where we are and where we want to be. A story of my girlfriend and my wife. A story of repeated happenings. A story of regrets. A story I want to do right.

She is pretty with brain
The one I can tame
Love has found me again

Branches grew on trees
Water dropped on leaves
My heart was up for steal

Finger without a ring
Now decides to sing
Said yes without a blink

But beauty was just a freak
One I'm scared to keep
Shred away my meat

Birds devoured my grain
Not a game again
I can no more hide my pain

The tickets do explain
Why you said my name
Before you left by train

They said it won't begin
but came without delay
what is love again

Love showed up
and left without a hint
Left without a ring
When love come and go

Lone Alones
Kwasi Boakye Aug 2015
Lone sounds the name and interesting like the game
Lone gives you fame with no one to blame
It's like that but what can you say
That lone brings you shame of which you can't tame
Lone is not to blame but blame is to blame
Lone gives you facts to make your claim
Lone is the reminder, something to make you ponder
Lone is the victim but never the cause
Lone is today when none obeys
Lone is far and near
Lone is day and night
Lone is not day, lone is not night
But lone is a Rose
Lone is the lady, she is prettier
when she smiles
Lone is me, lone is you
Lone is his, lone is hers
Lone is all of us
It is what you made me when you left
Lonely days can be the worst of days but can also be the best, it can be the day you cried most. It can be the day you had your biggest smile because you met that new person, the person who will make you glad the old left. Lonely days can be dark or light, embrace your lonely days but don't wish for it.

Love goes waste
Kwasi Boakye Sep 2015
Beauty and beast, mighty and fame
Bitter but sweet, my lover in a game
Love and hate, pretty by name
I wish I wished, my heart is hers
Smooth and rough, far but near
Near yet far, I yearn for more
Forward and reverse, reverse and forward
Chances I had made to waste
I lie and think, just my mistake
Where ever you are, however, you are
Yes I did, just as thought
I fell for you without a sight
But oh courage, if I had
Wedding bells would ring
I buy my ring, After our thing
Now I dream, of you alone
For one day you know
That I did for you
Same you for me
I loved you in hide as you loved me in hide
Love goes waste
Secretly admiring each other can be the best experience but the worst is when you both don't have the courage to go for it.

Moon mail
Kwasi Boakye Sep 2015
Talking to the moon,
I realized it wasn't too long before it was noon
With a lot on my mind,
I prayed the moon makes an exception
And stay longer than usual
Because this message
Only him I can trust to deliver,
Some say coward, some say setback,
Some say something else
But I say reason, I say season,
The season for the reason I do this
The reason of the season I did that
I had that but decided to make it right
And I hope you get it right
Just the way it is,
Just the way it sounds
Just the way it sings,
Just the way it rhymes
Because after this, I may never have the courage
To say again what I have wanted to say for 10years…..

Am tired of loving small, why can't I do it big
Am tired wishy love, why cant it be real
Am tired of self-dates, why cant I double
Am tired of imaginations,  lets have it for real
Am tired of midnight lonesome, lets keep the company
Am tired of ring-less phone, give me a ringtone
Am tired dreamy day, please make it live

Am tired of swaying, lets have a great dance
Am tired of wondering "if", I want it now
Am tired of sitting, oh! how I long to fly
Am tired of whistling, why can't I sing
Am tired of having halves, I want it all

Am tired of missing you, I want you now

Regretful Cry
Kwasi Boakye Sep 2015
Interesting story it was
When she told it with a smile

*“My life was ok until all went wrong
Thought I had it all with just being born
I had my needs but not much wants
Now I owe so much, more than I ever bought
I wish I thought before, now I think”

Golden
Kwasi Boakye Apr 2015
Deep in the wilderness

where birds are mute
and no wind blew

where animals remain calm
and fish don't swim

where trees are quiet
and branches stand still

A golden leaf fell
and indeed
everything came to life
Kwasi Boakye Feb 2015
I miss you more everyday and more everyday

I miss you so much that its starting to hurt

So much that I dare not recall

Cos anytime I try;

The C makes me cry, but I try very hard to keep it dry

The A makes me feel abandoned, but I know you still care

The R makes me recall, those moments that were full of sound

The O makes me optimistic; everyday that I forget it’s optional

The L says so much, so much I cannot write now………….

Memory cry
Kwasi Boakye Aug 2014
Memories of the past,
Through which my thoughts never last
Like dust cast in my eyes,
denied me right to identification
This far I come,
Via images in my head
Blissful were days of yesteryear,
Days you held my hands,
Looked into my eyes
And said those lovely words
Flavorful were they,
With fragrance beyond price
Never dream of it being in vain
How possible could this be?
Situations brought obstacles,
Yet hope soared high
If fate really exist
A favor from him will be appreciated
Let passion pass me not
Put a smile on my face
Make the future glitter
Brighter than a star
Like a star my heart finds light
Hope for tomorrow I seek
Make our emotions reciprocal
My dream come true

Missing shame
Kwasi Boakye Nov 2014
I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I ignored you when you needed me most

I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I closed my eyes when you needed a look

I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I stood stiff when you needed a hug

I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I held on to the tissue to wipe your tears.

I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I gave not my shoulders to cry on

I miss you yet I hide it
I miss you but I dare not
I miss you, am ashamed, I regret
Forgive me!

Skin Deep
Kwasi Boakye Jun 2015
You deserve the best
I deserve the rest
Those you always said to me
I was so blind, I couldn’t complain
It was hard for me to say
But I tried to explain
I had enough, I guess I lost count
I should have opted out
Long ago when I had doubts
But I was scared of what I would go through
When my heart told me to hit the road
I couldn’t think of anything less being bold
You’ve taken away my picture
My vision of us together looking old
And made it a useless fantasy
But our past is very real
And that I will keep forever
I know you’ve earned more than you need
So please return my flowers
But the car you can keep
I know now, what I did not
That Beauty is skin deep

forget you not
Kwasi Boakye Aug 2014
I stayed in the dark Waiting
Waiting for you to come back
Thinking and wondering what I lacked
I tried giving you my all
But your satisfaction was way beyond it all
In fact you weren’t satisfied at all
You left, without saying goodbye
And denied me the chance to ask why
I heard the news but told myself it’s a lie
Until I was alone in our room
Standing wifeless in our home
With tears raining down my eye
If not the chance to stop you
What of that to say goodbye
What of that to wish you well?
What of that to say I love you for the last time
It’s my dream one day you come by
Just so I can say hi
So you will know the person I’ve become
I thought of it and now know how
If only I could turn back the hands of time
You would forever be mine
In your absence I have restructured myself
And I hope he loves you more than I
Anything less, you are doomed
Farewell my dear........

Just my luck
Kwasi Boakye Aug 2014
'Dear someone, you know you are my now and after
For so long I lone and suffer
Hunting and seeking for more than tender
The closer I get, the more it hinder
In my dream only I can imagine
To turn fate into endless magic
I've had a taste of various varieties
Black, white, young and old
Black, white, diamond and gold
With the wish of having something new

Dear someone, Know you are now then be my new
Know you are after and wish you flew
Along with me because you knew'
I lost my dairy to a stranger
She read my words and fell in love

The 80s Reminisce
Kwasi Boakye Jun 2018
Dear Reggie
I am trying to remember
Too bad I can't
Too good I don't
I only remember how it felt
More than words
But a feeling
A bliss feeling of bliss
A Sunny sunshine
A Funny laughter
A beautiful smile
My typing fingers
Are where the words evolved
Volcanoes to being
From a sweet thought of events
Possible because you did

Dear Reggie
I can't recall exactly what was discarded
Although it felt good
So good its memory can't fade

Dear Reggie
She loved loved loved love
She still does
And showed me just a bit of it
Just a little I can not forget
Good my heart remembers

Dear Reggie
This is not a poem but a feeling
Thank you for letting her go
Trying to remember a deleted poem is not easy, It is good the heart remembers.

Worry not
Kwasi Boakye May 2018
"Life with its ups and downs
Its smiles and frowns
are usually not understood
Why ought worried
Why ought depressed
Why ought anxious
Your thought is not option
Do you not know
that you are of a master plan
Why worry if you can worry not
worry not my friend

For it is well"
You have just two options, to worry or not to worry. Whatever choice you make is up to you.

Me to find
Kwasi Boakye Jun 2014
Dear someone
Where are you for me to find
To see your face and in your eyes
I wrote a poem for you to see
You alone for you to read
Tell me now and tell me deep
What I think and think you thought
That all you get is all you have
And all you have is all you get
I know you know it's what i want
I pray for he to be your best
Never my wish he be your ex
For me alone to be your next
AYG,Where are you for me to find
To see your face and in your eyes

She Knew
Kwasi Boakye Aug 2015
She knew I loved her
but ignored
oh she knew
Kwasi Boakye Mar 2019
It was a beautiful morning from Seoul

Strawberries and grapes

Breakfast and brakes

Stretches beyond ignore

Cuts deeper than a samurai blade

Slippery a morning to make you fall.

Oh what a beautiful morning to wish to come and come again.

Strawberries and grapes
Beautiful mornings are a sight to see
