On a sunny, warm day,
Under a blue sky, with,
White puffy clouds on the horizon,
On a seaside beach,

Sitting alone, thinking of what life will bring.

I glimpsed an Angel,
Dressed in white.

Her wings spread wide, like she just arrived.

So mystifying she is,
Walking through the ocean mist.

She appears in front of me,
She lifts me up,
How can I feel trust for someone I do not know?
She says, “Hello my friend.  Do you remember me from long ago? Please walk with me.”

"Tell me how has your life been?"
"Tell me of your happy times,"
"Tell me your sad times,"
"Tell me of your lonely times,"

We walked and talked for hours.
Then she said, “Don't ever feel lonely. I will always be here to lift you up. Just remember me.”

I turn to give her a hug and say thank you.
Where did you go?
She has vanished into thin air,
Have I been talking to myself?

A strong ocean breeze pushes my head down,
Then, I see two sets of footsteps in the sand.

Yes, I remember you from so long ago my Angel...

sleep walking
sleep wandering
into beds that aren’t mine
baby i think about you all the time
wont you
come back for a moment
or two or three or four
you can pin me to the mattress
you can pin me to the floor
you can
kiss me till you get sober
and leave me hickeys till i’m black and blue
you can twist and shape and mold me
you can fix me
till i fit perfectly to you
fit perfectly for you
in everything you thought you wanted
and maybe something more
i can do it i can
do it
please open the door
so i can
sleep walk
sleep wander into
your bed late at night
baby tell me yeah alright
i can do it,
let me kiss you
goodnight.

goodbye.

She walks like
the wind --

A wall of cold air
A flurry of autumn leaves
A wakeup morning breeze

-- every step disappears
into the next.

You walk down the sidewalk,
In your head to imagine a cyclops,
Lurking around the corner.
It watches you,
But you know it isn't true,
You imagination is just not right,
Wondering away into the dark night.
You hear footsteps,
Coming from behind,
Or maybe in front of you,
Maybe your just going out of your mind.
You keep walking,
The night creature stalking,
Mocking,
You.
You start to grow frightened,
Scared even.
The footsteps growing louder,
Your heart pounding against your chest,
You just cant put the strange feeling to rest.
You turn around the corner,
What do you see?
Nothing.
Just a few trees.
You keep walking,
hurrying home.
You go strait to your room,
The strange feeling gone.
You glance around your dark dwelling,
You start to imagine the sound of someone yelling,
Not sure what to do,
You close your eyes,
and drift off to sleep.
Hoping it was nothing,
Knowing it was something.
My room is extra creepy tonight... and I don't know why.

What if everything
Were revealed: about my whereabouts
Especially last night:
Was I somnambulism?
It time to get myself together,
I was all over the place
I have to channel my energies into something useful
I have to stay soulful
I have to stay focus
I am not a night walker.
But a vampire.

This wind keeps snapping at our feet
through shoes unravelling.
Gales are hungry.
          Night's abandoned,
               streets have emptied.
Still, we own them--just keep talking.
           Winter's wailing.
           **** the old days.
Clutching coats closed,
                         tread nostalgia
past these sidewalk intersections.
Claimed by rambling conversations,
               often
               we're only
               rehashing
our worst mistakes
                                  and
                 shivering
                our way be-
             -neath stoplights
lit by good memories.

          I've got this notion tonight
          that we'll find our way
                                                  back
          into the warmth found behind
          our locked front doorways.
Ways we've found to always hide
our faces from the cold outside
have been running dry all night.
So drink down the cold street light
and we'll make a blur of those green-white street signs.

This cold's still clawing at your face
through scarf unraveling.
Chapped lips smiling.
          Nights like this have
               kept on piling.
Winter owns us. Just keep walking.
           Winter's crying,
           "**** the old days!"
Frostbit footsteps
           slip nostalgia
past these frowning checkpoint questions.
Retouch same old observations.
                Sometimes
                we're only
                 retracing
the same missteps
                                but
                    frigid
             friends like us
                are melting
into old habits

          I've got this notion tonight
          that we'll take this route
                                                     for
          one more familiar cold flight
          from here to daybreak.
Say, "let fly those bomb bay doors!"
We've bombed these frozen streets before,
and I've got a couple more
so keep moving 'til we find our front doors.

Lesson learned;

Don't, fall in love
Walk in ,head high, heart open and strong,  ready to let go of past hurt and able to move forward and grow up

Falling in love causes cuts and bruises
Tripping over the same mistakes
Tumbling into  similar situations

Although the cuts and bruises  heal
They hurt

Lesson learned
Walking quickly,
Just to catch up with you,
So we can talk for a few more minutes,
So I can see your eyes just one more time,
Before tomorrow.

Walking slowly,
Just to make it last longer,
So I can feel your hand in mine for another eternity,
So I can see you smiling for another second,
Before tomorrow.

Holding you closer,
Just to feel your heart,
So I can hear the sound of every gentle breath,
So you can keep me warm for another moment,
Before tomorrow.

Looking back,
Just to see you step inside,
So I can catch another glimpse of your hair,
So I hear the last thing you say,
Before tomorrow.

Running home,
Just to make the time go faster,
So that the adrenaline can make each minute rush by,
So I don't have to wait quite as long,
Before tomorrow.

i kissed a girl accidentally the other day
i flustered myself.
We were joking, walking
towards each other;
Chicken with a kiss
i had thought of it before.
i think i wanted to see what it was like.
I think i liked her a little in that moment.
i really just don't know
