When the cool metal
of my necklaces rests
on my breast
and I shiver,
I wonder if this is what
my heart feels like?
Ummm...
Whatever.
It's not like any of you even read my notes.

One step,
Bare feet.
Glance up,
Eyes meet.

Breath caught,
Dry lips.
Cheeks hot,
Stomach flips.

Throat clears,
Mouth parts.
Words catch,
Shiver starts.

Bright sun,
Sandy toes.
The ocean's words,
No one knows.

But you could hear,
Just like me,
Those salty waves,
That set us free.

We didn't speak,
Or make a sound.
You just took my hand,
Water bound.

There we stood,
Wet to our knees.
Closed our eyes,
And could finally breathe.

in wild west there was a tribe,
of men fast as mountain river,
they believed in nature, they had vibe
and gaze that makes you shiver

Suddenly it's been deciced
that they that they become a prey
a white man came to take their land
but they stood in their way

indian only had a bow and an arrow
to fight for his own life
but white man brought some weapons
every one of them died

if you stood on red mountain
you could hear the wind hum a song
soft melody of indian flutes
that are gone for too long
indians red men land river wind mountains vibe shiver nature arrow flute song
That look was so significant
it drew my thoughts to you.
That meaningful expression
nearly blew me into two.

Only for one second
did our looks interlock.
I felt such an intensity
and my heart felt such a shock.

A picture paints a thousand words
is something that they say.
That slightest glance spoke volumes
that I could never relay.

It hinted at the part of me
that wants that part of you.
It told me that each singular
should be expressed as two.

I saw two bodies writhing
deep down in my minds eye
and it told a tale that without this
my heart would surely die.

Is this the feeling of true love,
a love from that first peek
that tells to me that you are
the true lover that I seek?

Or am I just imagining
something that might not be?
were you just being sociable
when you took that look at me?

I often hear woman
who express us men as fools
but unlike a game of football,
true love doesn't come with rules.

But it's hard to push it further,
hard to know if you think right.
Because as well as looking stupid
you could ruin somebody's night.

So I follow like a puppy,
trying to catch her eye
and I keep on glimpsing over
trying so hard not to try.

I think that she's the clever one
'cause I can't work it out
but the moment that she walks across
is when I lose the doubt.

And as we leave together
my heart it sings a song
and I'm happy that my first thoughts
were not wrong.

Pheeeeeeeew!
Should I, shouldn't I, that is the Question?

I knew it was love when your arms felt like home.

I was more comfortable being in your arms than in my own house. I could tell it was love when I saw something special in those deep-brown eyes you otherwise consider boring. I could get lost for hours looking at them and seeing into you in a way not many have the chance to do. It was love when your sweatshirts were the only things that could keep me from shivering (besides you). I became aware of this love when I waited up countless nights to make sure you got home safe. It became clear when my emotions started to be easily dictated by you- in a mostly-good way. If I'm in a certain mood and I'm with you or we've talked, it's probably your doing. But, what I think means the most here, what is most obvious as a factor to show that this is love, is something I've only recently realized. This fact, that super important point, is that I put your happiness over my own. That is precisely how I know. It's a constant goal of mine that you're happy and not too stressed or whatever else it may be. Once I recognized that quality of caring in myself, I saw it.

I knew it was love when your happiness became my own.

He's standing next to me now.
Just close enough for me to hear each pounding beat of his heart and feel the breeze of his breath.
With each inhale he takes it feels like he's ******* the life right out of me.
I become breathless.
I'm gasping just waiting for him to exhale so I can finally breathe again.
With each exhale I'm relieved of the pressure in my chest as if he's manually pumping my blood through my veins with his hands.
With each exhale I feel the warmth of his breath.
It is sticky and hot,
but he has a way of sending chills down my spine as he whispers icy cold words down my neck.

I wake up
a shiver runs up my spine
because you are not there
to calm me back to sleep
to lull me back to dreams

I shiver because you are gone.
This is turning into a nightmare
It was never like this before
I'm afraid that if I'm conscious too much
They'll come break down my door.

This is turning into a nightmare
It was always better than this
Borrowed, fake, sweet to the touch
Nothing is going as I wish.

This is turning into a nightmare
It was hardly better than now
Explain how I can find my love
Because it wasn't in lost and found.

This is turning into a nightmare
It can't be any better for you
Why do you care, they all just shove
And I end up falling through.

This is turning into a nightmare
It was worse yesterday, though
Maybe because I'm looking above
And I see a spark of Hope.

This was always a nightmare
But now it's turning to day
Perhaps I'm finding He is enough
And I've finally found my way.
